The airport is nice and clean has 6 gates and is well organized. Checking counters is quick and simple. Inside the terminal has limited food places one in the check in area but has more pastries and coffee shops Juan Valdez, Havannas inside the terminal. Two duty free shops. Nice and clean rest rooms.

I bought a liquid item at duty free and they told me I could bring it through transfer in Sao Paolo. However my item was confiscated in Sao Paolo. I recommend not shopping at the duty free shop there as they are misinformed about where items can be brought or don’t care.

(Translated by Google) It is the airport with the most activity and connections in the Republic of Paraguay. It is located in the city of Luque, thus serving the capital city, Asunción, and its metropolitan area. The name of the airport corresponds to the famous Paraguayan aviator Silvio Pettirossi. One of the worst airports I stayed in my life. Definitely the worst international airport. We had a stop over of a few hours and basically everything closes between flights (there aren’t many flights per day so there’s little movement). It’s like a deserted place. Staff is far from being friendly and helpful. No good shops, no places to eat. Wouldn’t recommend to stop here.

There is no free wifi at the airport! Never ever came across any airport where wifi is not at all present for visiting tourist! I couldn't book uber and finally had to pay 4x more than what normal uber would had cost.

Pettirossi is a very tiny airport by international standards, but the staff working there are professional. I'd also like to thank the staff of AirEuropa for the professionalism and patience.

This is a nice little 6 gate airport. Customs was quick and easy, as well as security. They did take my Girlfriends eyebrow scissors however, which is odd but it’s their security. There is a restaurant or 2 There are 2 lounges at the airport. There’s some seating, but it could use a lot more.

Very small airport with helpful and friendly people. They are following covid protocols and explain the steps to you when you get there. It has some cafes and a tiny duty free shop, they are not open 24/7 though.

(2023-01-02) The airport of Asunción is yes, an international airport, but it is not as big as the other ones because there is no need for it and it is not a big touristic destination. For this reason, it has fewer restaurants and shops than the other airports. It still has everything, however a bit less variety. A reminder: if you are planning to officially move to Paraguay and pass by it, do not forget to pay for your visa just when you leave the terminal area. It is not properly indicated. 150$ USD (100+50), and only the new bill with the orange tag on the 100$. If not, they will not accept you. When you have your visa then you can pass the "border security" and leave.

I fly in the morning normally from this airport so the café are open along with duty free. But other souvenir stores are closed at this time.

Worst airport in the history of aviation, the infrastructure is compared to a bombed soviet city or an african dictatorship. Poor information, disgusting bathrooms and the staff in the place can't speak their own language (spanish I guess). Take this advice: AVOID this place for your own health and safe.

Don't forgwt to bring cash, new bills only, to get your "visa" into Paraguay. Changing bills at counter is always expensive and here they tack on an additional fee, can be you 10%+. My chip card didn't work in atm, oh well supporting the banks is always so fun. Airport itself is small and nice which makes for easier navagation.

If you are a foreigner with a layover here, I would try to go elsewhere instead. The customs agent told me I was not allowed to leave the airport, even though a visa isn't necessary for a one-day visit. The exchange rate is not very good either and a simple meal while waiting will cost you much more than it should. I couldn't even check my suitcase for several hours since there was nobody at the check-in desk. Look elsewhere for a layover/day visit to a city!!

The empty part of the airport has the AC full blast, the part with people in the AC is off. Just go chill in the empty part of the airport where the AC works. The empty part was for a 2AM flight.

An international airport with no wifi. (literally had to get a password from the coffee shop and buy a coffee to retrieve it) Does not accept E-Tickets. (Require you to have paper tickets) No kiosk for Copa Forced to wait in line just to have an agent print a ticket. All the reviews saying this is a nice airport?! must be the passengers first time leaving the country and seeing an airport. Can definitely see why this is the least visited country in South America. It only took me 1 day to understand why. Even Nicaragua allows digital tickets from the phone.
