Beautiful place to visit. A lot of wonderful things to picture how it was back then and the remarkable difference with today. The people that work there are amazing. It just needs a bit of upkeep. Maybe set up garbage cans and fix some of the construction. Other than that, I loved it. I'll be making a digital trip of it soon!

Formerly the Palacio Legislativo where the Congress used to meet, this pink building is distinctive symbol of the city. Its double row arches on two floors look stunning lit up at night. It's a museum now, it is small but excellently presented and covers differrent aspects of Paraguay, including history and art.

Very interesting the "museo de la inmigracion", a lot of ancient objects and stories about the people who migrated to paraguai during the centuries. If you are interested about the story of paraguay it will help you in understanding it better.

One of my favorite spots to have visited in Asuncion, especially since the museum curator is incredibly friendly. Former senate building that has turned into a Paraguyan cultural heritage center. Inside, one can find shamanic feather crowns, initiation ceremony costumes, and artifacts from other indigenous groups. They will have an artist's work on display and the upstairs has different exhibits. An interesting one is about the different immigrant groups. Note that all the signage in the museum is in Spanish, but they do have English brochures and the museum workers are very friendly and happy to provide historical context, even using voice-to-speak through Google translate to convey information.

👍👍 Loved it! The five bicentennial cultural houses are a wonderful (if not well known) discovery in Asuncion. Each focused on one aspect of the arts, the Casa de la Musica was the most beautiful of all. Worth the visit just to see the gorgeous home, and get a glimpse of life in Asuncion back in the day...
