This place is simply breath taking, most amazing Garden I've ever been in to, and this for a very fair entrance fee. The are is huge and stretches over several levels and garden types. I spent several hours there and had to leave very well knowing that I haven't seen everything. One could easily spend an entire day there and not see anything twice. There's a restaurant as well, which serves great dishes.

3 words: Above. Any. Expectations. It's a simple paradise, hidden on top of Verbania's corner. The level of attention, the variety of plants and flowers, the majesty of buildings, pools, bridges... Villa Taranto is a hidden gem in the Maggiore Lake, and Isola Bella will forgive me if I say that this garden is way, WAY more beautiful and surprising. For sure Isola bella garden is a lifetime experience, impossible to miss... but so is the Villa taranto Garden, which is one of the most beautiful garden in the world. No doubts, hands down. Go and visit it.

Most beautiful botanical gardens I’ve ever been to—better than Rio’s or Singapore’s in my point of view. The structure and flow of the visit is perfectly well thought out and just the right length. And so much beautiful flora.

Worth to visit, among the best gardens in Italy. About 2.5 hrs for a normal visit, 3+ for a thorough visit

Possibly the most exquisite landscape gardens to be found anywhere in the world. Beauty, elegance and sophistication. You will not be disappointed 🙂

Beautiful gardens and super well cleaned and maintained. Entry ticket costs 12€ (at the time when this review was written) and can be bought directly online with no print needed. Alternatively, you can directly buy onsite. To help you and better guide your visit, there is also a free app (both for iPhone and Android) on which you can read the landmarks history and follow the route.

I highly recommend checking out the botanical garden, when in Verbania! We really liked it here. Very nice and large garden with amazing plants and trees and some beautiful views. Entrance is not cheap (12 Euro) but in my opinion well worth it.

Outstanding gardens with wide boulevards for easy walking. Amazing designs for fountains and pools. I can't say enough good things; relaxing, inspiring, colorful, and gorgeous.

Awesome garden. Really absolutely beautiful. Very clean and well structured. We were here end of April and there were thousands of tulips and azalees. There is a map with a route available that takes about 90 minutes if you walk slowly. At about half way, there is a café, beautiful. The views from hillside is nice, but not panoramic

Beautiful garden on the banks of Lago Maggiore. Nice restaurant at the entrance where you can gather your strength because the garden is quite large and you need to climb a bit. A jewel!

It is absolutely gorgeous here. The landscaping is phenomenal and the view of the Alps in the background is breathtaking. Been here twice now and would go again. I however do not recommend eating at the little restaurant at the entrance of the garden. It is extremely overpriced and the food is ok at best. For 4 sandwiches and 4 drinks it cost us 100€ with the cover charge that they add on to the bill.

fantastic garden with really lovely wisteria in april. there’s a cafe with food at the top of the garden, which is a great lookout spot after you climb up. however, the descending path has loose gravel and a steep decline; my travel companion slipped and fell, and sprained her ankle. the staff was extremely helpful in getting ice and supplies, and helping exit the garden. they checked on us several times and were very friendly

Very beautiful garden by the lake major situated in verbania. Be careful the garden is closed during winter. For 2024 it will open from March 15- to 3 November . Really well kept. You do have a lake view from the highest point of the garden. The cost is 13€. Pictures are taken in November 2023 on closing day. Please check opening hours as it changes in March-Oct and nov. Otherwise peak season opening time is 9:00-19:00. Last entry at 18:00. Off peak closes earlier.

Ein schön angelegter Garten, eher Park. Viele Bäume die Schatten spenden und Blumen aller Arten. Einfach toll. Auch ein kleiner Imbis ist zum Wohle der Besucher da. Komme gerne wieder.

Ein wunderbarer Ort. So traumhafte Gärten. Hier kann man sehr viel Zeit verbringen. Nettes Personal.

Expected something spectacular, but got disappointed. The gardens are ok, but there's nothing all that special here. If you have an afternoon to kill in Verbania, then perhaps Villa Taranto Gardens is the place for you. But it's not worth the boat ride if you're staying in other parts of the lago Maggiore.

Beautiful park, and very quiet. Easy to find a place to relax and enjoy the greenery and views. Restaurant and toilets available.

Choose wisely the month you're visiting this place, it can be absolutely stunning in April (tulips season) or July/August (dahlia seasons), while in may/June there's not much to see. Still a place worth a visit of course!

Beautiful place. I have spend great time there enjoying and admiring well maintained gardens. You can really relax and pleased the soul with energy and views

A serene and well kept botanical garden. Very clearly marked, paved walking path around the most important features of the garden. You could easily spend 2-3 hours here, or longer if you have a passion for botany. It feels less crowded than other tourist attractions around Lake Maggiore perhaps due to how large this garden is. It has a small cafe at the entrance with outdoor seating - super peaceful, average food. No restaurants immediately nearby.

Wonderful garden with a beautiful view of lake Maggiore. Well maintained and beautifully constructed. Tickets can be bought at the entrance. The flower display was the highlight of my trip here. There are stores and washroom around the place. Small benches to rest and enjoy the view are installed.

A wonderful botanical garden. Rich variety of vegetation colors and shapes. Great architecture that you do not get bored of even after 4 hours of walking. Beyond the variety of plants you can find ponds and lawns to rest. Some parts overlook the view of Lake Maggiore. The place is convenient for walking. Despite the height differences. the trails are moderate and also suitable for those who have difficulty walking. The signs are clear and easy to get around. Tour time about 3-4 hours. We were in April with a wonderful bloom mostly of a wide variety of colors. The rash can be seen in the pictures.

Absolutely fabulous gardens. Lots of walking but along shaded cobbled paths with plenty of places to sit and eat a picnic or enjoy the views. The plantings of magnificent trees are fabulous and the little cafe at the top of the hill beside the Lily pools is divine. Fill your water bottle up near the bike racks as you go in and avoid the cafe near the ticket kiosk - service very grudging and prices for lukewarm coffee not good. Toilets also available here. Try to get here early to avoid the many visitors but the space allows you to keep your distance readly. I love gardens and this is probably my favourite.

September is a good month to visit the garden as the climate is very comfortable and there are still many flowers to see. Maybe next time I should bring some music or a book to enjoy the garden longer. It is simply such a beautiful place that you want to stay.

This place is a wonderful botanical garden, clean and tidy, everything is taken care of. there is a Labyrinth of Tulips, several beautiful fountains, small places to relax in the form of gazebos and benches. There are trees that are many years old and planted by prominent people. There is a convenient path through the entire park for people with disabilities.

The Garden of Eden! A definite 'must go to' in my opinion. I've never seen a more beautiful, well organized and diverse garden as this one. The garden is about 16 acres big, has numerous sorts of flowers, bushes, very big trees and a lot of tiny buildings, benches to rest on, waterfalls, étc. You'll regret not going. Entrance fee is only 10 euro p.p. Parking is free for visitors of the garden :-)

Very huge botanical garden with great views, themes and a lot of different plants. Most of the ways are suitable for baby carriages. There are also many places for a break and/or to enjoy the view. For some hotspots you have to be fit (up to the hill).

Amazing park with flowers and plants to enjoy. I looked forward to coming back!

A beautiful place! 2-3 hours if you really take your time. Placed to sit and relax as well. We made the mistake of eating at the restaurant by the front gate for lunch. To be fair only 3 people were trying to service over 15 tables outside. Pasta was 👍. But our lunch took 1 1/2 hours and the service was non existant. Not worth it.
