Montalto
è
la
cima
più
alta
di
tutto
l'Aspromonte
e
si
trova
a
ben
1956m
di
altezza
sopra
il
livello
del
mare.
Salendo
da
Gambarie
(bivio
di
Tre
Aie)
ci
sono
più
o
meno
30
minuti
di
macchina
in
una
strada
che,
purtroppo,
negli
ultimi
km
costringe
ad
un
brusco
rallentamento
a
causa
dell'asfalto
praticabile
(anche
con
una
city
car),
ma,
pieno
di
buche.
La
statua
del
Cristo
redentore
che
vedete
nelle
foto
si
trova,
una
volta
parcheggiate
le
macchine
lungo
la
strada,
dopo
un
percorso
segnato
in
salita
da
fare
a
piedi
(circa
20
min).
Lungo
il
percorso
vi
sono
staccionate
e
panchine
per
riposarsi
(personalmente
con
zaino
per
il
pernottamento
e
tenda
non
l'ho
trovato
così
faticoso).
Una
volta
arrivati
in
cima
si
possono
scegliere
tra
diverse
zone
dove
accamparsi.
Il
posto
è
suggestivo
e
ideale
per
guardare
stelle
oppure
apprezzare
il
sorgere
del
sole.

Montalto
is
the
highest
peak
of
all
the
Aspromonte
and
is
located
at
a
height
of
1956m
above
the
sea
level.
Going
up
from
Gambarie
(crossroads
of
Tre
Aie)
there
are
more
or
less
30
minutes
by
car
in
a
road
that,
unfortunately,
in
the
last
km
forces
a
sharp
slowdown
due
to
the
practicable
asphalt
(even
with
a
city
car),
but,
full
of
holes.
The
statue
of
Christ
the
Redeemer
you
see
in
the
photos
is
found,
once
you
have
parked
the
cars
along
the
road,
after
a
marked
uphill
path
to
be
done
on
foot
(about
20
min).
Along
the
way
there
are
fences
and
benches
to
rest
(personally
with
backpack
for
overnight
stay
and
tent
I
didn't
find
it
so
tiring).
Once
you
get
to
the
top
you
can
choose
between
different
areas
to
camp.
The
place
is
suggestive
and
ideal
for
star
gazing
or
appreciating
the
sunrise.
