The beauty and historic importance of this park are deeply overshadowed by extensive graffiti and the crumbling infrastructure that the City of Bogota have yet to address. The fact the the signage the proclaims the name BOGOTA is marred by graffiti, does not convey urban art. It projects urban decay and delinquency. That's not the image a world class city, yearning for tourism, wants to proclaim to visitors from other parts of the world. The leadership of Bogota should consider creating a campaign to deal with the vagrancy and endless graffiti that destroy or negatively impact all the public spaces in the city. In 2023, most tourists understand the difference between gorgeous , artistic urban murals and graffiti scrawls making reference to gang messages or destroying public property.

It's a great spot to appreciate the beauty of the east mountains, Monserrate and Bachata building, the tallest one in Bogota.

It's a great place to spend time, but you must keep an eye on your belongings.

The monument is nice, it's a nice square with some vendors around. Locals usually pass by it sometimes without even noticing it

Is a good sector. Specially if you're a stoner. I used hangout here in my younger days. Probably one of the very few places I like in Bogocrap. That and Candelaria.

Beautiful place, but the Mayor has the city abandoned... You can tell the corruption of the administration miles away.

If you’re a tourist, watch your belongings and avoid after 5PM visits: is a dodgy place. It used to be an historic attraction but now is full of graffiti, trash, dr*g dealers and beggars. Perhaps on the weekends you might find a flea market and some interesting food options with police presence.

Big open space. Sadly it doesn't look too good. - 2022/12/26

Nice park to walk around. I bought an arepa con queso on the street and ate there. From this square you can see Monseratte and walk straight to La Candelaria.

Lovely park with great views, street art, food and open spaces!

Good for the typical tourist photos of downtown Bogotá, but nothing else to either see or do. Be vigilant with your belongings as definitely a hot-spot for pickpockets. Additionally, I wouldn't recommend after-dark visits as lots of rough sleepers around the area.

It's okay. Normal park but it's part of a walking tour you need to know the reason.

What I would call pretty much the center of the city. Lots of activity. A beautiful water featured continuing through the city for a long time. Be smart and it’s safe to go out at night as well.

This square such a good place to take a look to the mountains and have a drink. You are near Candelaria which is 5 blocks away.

Small park close to Monserrate iconic attraction . Nothing special about it other than very close to the mountain and the place mentioned above I have not noticed any seating area.

This is a good spot to take a break while exploring Candelaria. They have benches around to sit and relax. The place itself is clean and has good photo opportunity.

Magic realism writer, Nobel Prize "One Hundred Years of Solitude" author often wanders on this road, meditating and conceiving.

Before the pandemic it was famously getting unsafe for tourists after 5pm. (Theft). I think that is gone for now because of lack of tourists. It's not a park it's a place in my opinion and not a lot of benches there. Beside is the bus station Las Aguas and some stores and restaurants, bars, Coffee Shops beside.

Very unsafe place with robberies (got robbed at 9:30am). Do not go there!! If you have booked a tour which starts there arrive on time or wait in one of the stores until the guide arrives.
