Nice cosy musuem. A good museum that has good English signage despite what other reviewers say. I made note that only one section was not translated in full. The quality of the translation and information is not the best though. Nice quality interesting exhibits that will while away a couple of hours. A 4,000 peso or $1 bargain entry fee. Toilets on site.

It is an old and beautiful place located in the historic area of the candelaria. The place is interesting for people who love history and the old, try to focus on objects like living in Bogotá during the viceroyalty. It is a place to take some good photographs about the entire intact central fountain since the 1600s

Recently restored, this museum offers an amazing insight to the country's colonial period. It is very well curated and the art exhibition is on edge. Adding to all of this, the building is just beautiful.

It's an interesting little museum that covers the colonial past from a European and perhaps Catholic church perspective. Issues of slavery and abuse of indigenous and Africans touched on very lightly. Meanwhile, the advantages accrued by European dominion are played up. For example, Mestizos being allowed to study in church established colleges or Africans and Mestizos being taught trades are shown as benefits of colonization. Go to the National Museum of Colombia for a more academic and socially aware perspective though with much fewer English language translations. Pics are of the single display of precolonial art with a Eurocentric perspective of what constitutes advanced society and another highlighting the benefits of Colonial expansion.

Very interesting exhibits in a beautiful setting. This two-story museum costs $8,000 COP to enter and it is worth it.

Very nice museum dealing with colonialism and religion past and present influences on Bogota and Colombia. You can spend 1h to 3h there, depending on if you read all the explanations or not. Free on Sundays.

A very ridiculous price for foreigners. The ticket center charges me 53000peso. In other reviews the price was different. So I think it’s a cheat only for foreigners.

I liked this place even more than the national museum. The artwork is very nice. Be sure to visit the first and the second floor. As someone else has mentioned the security guards bladen played follow you from rent to room but I guess it's necessary since the art there is priceless

Worth visiting. Has a beautiful ecclesiatical collection. Very tight security, but very accomodating. A bit expensive compare to the museums nearby with some even free. The ticket includes a free bookmark..

Decent depiction of colonial days to today. Negative 2 stars for outrageous price. $10usd or 47k pesos. Just go to Santa Clara instead. 10x better imo

Lovely museum. Helpful staff. Lots of good information. Free for over 60's 😉.

This is a nice museum with art and history covering the colonial period. There were an adequate number of English explanations for a non-Espanol speaker like me. Docking 1 star for an upside-down portrait of Anthony of Padua (apparently this is flipped for 'luck'?) and 'Please Activate Windows' msg on their slideshow displays. :). Also somewhat annoying that guards constantly shadow you when you are the only one in the gallery, distracting from enjoying the art

Very little information in English, the building is beautiful but the art isn’t anything to jump through hoops over. Go to Museo Santa Clara instead!

Nice old colonial building with fountain at the middle. You Will know more about structure of the colonial society. National and d oro museum are far better in the creativity the exposition were built with. Sunday: free entrance.

Interesting exhibition of Colombia's history from a European perspective. Spanish a definite plus since many of the exhibits are only explained in Spanish

Terrible museum. The security checks your bag when you get in, then they follow you in literally every room, then they check your bag when you leave. What do they think people are stealing? There's nothing to steal. Useless information in each room
