You can visit this beautiful place by reserving a spot in the Acueducto de Bogotá website. It’s a short hike, just 2 kms. There’s only a steep part near the final viewpoint not suitable for everyone. Felt really safe, there are soldiers distributed through the trail. If you go on sundays consider arriving early because there isn’t a parking lot near and Monserrate’s parking options might be full.

Very nice place, fresh and clean water that flows from the eastern hills of Bogotá.

A walk with a fairly steep part but it is worth it to do something different. The path is usually puddled so I recommend good boots, it is a walk of approximately 50 minutes round trip.

It is a very well preserved, clean place, guarded by the police, it is only open on weekends, the climb is not very demanding, it has a staircase all the way and the surface in general is very stable, it is a plan to do in family. The view is very beautiful

Most important thing: Don't hike on weekdays if you don't have a police officer with you. The trail is absolutely dangerous on your own. Seriously!!! On weekends there's a lot of people hiking, running, jogging or trekking but during the hours where there are some police officers around. It's worth visiting and the views are fantastic but make sure to contact a tourism agency or the Acueducto de Bogotá staff. Download the app Caminos de los Cerros Orientales to book your entrance here or to any of the other hiking paths the water company manages. It’s worth the visit.

The Quebrada San Francisco is located approximately 300 meters uphill to Monserrate, along Av. Cincunvalar is an excellent walking path, it is surrounded by a diversity of nature, the climb is in steps and is well designed, the path is very beautiful, it has stations where you can sit and enjoy nature. The Police provide accompaniment throughout the route, the entry time to the trail is on weekends from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m., the drop-off time is at 10:30 a.m., until that time the police provides accompaniment. Highly recommended.

The entrance to the trail is through the ring road, about 300 meters south of the ticket office for the Monserrate cable car. It is a path with steps made of logs and others made of stone. It is approximately 1km, very nice. Vegetation everywhere and a stretch of the San Francisco - Vicacha river. It is open from 6-10 am on weekends but you have to go early because there is a limit on the number of people. In its upper part it offers a spectacular view of the city to the east and to the west a view of the hills where you can see a kind of valley, it is the best part of the route.

I quite liked it, there is a parking lot, small so for obvious reasons you have to arrive early, another reason why arriving early is that there are almost no people on the trail and bird watching will be easier and you will find more peace, the idea of The fact that it is only open to the public on weekends keeps it almost 100% preserved; totally safe since there is a police presence from start to finish, average travel time an hour and a half round trip (quite short, but spectacular) greetings ✌️

The place is very beautiful and peaceful, but it is good to clarify that security personnel in the area indicate that it is very dangerous, especially if you go up to the viewpoint.

A place to clear your head and breathe pure, there is a splash to wash your face with 100% natural and crystalline water.
