Big cafe with lots of seating and amazing food. They have versions of the menu in both English and French. The staff was nice; however, the coffee was not very good. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, but I received a flat white that tasted very off. I couldn’t finish it.

Once step inside the cafe, wait to be greeted. I was warmly received by the staff and was free to choose where to sit. The cafe is spacious with a bar for serious coffee enthusiasts, some small tables for solo café goers and also large tables. I only had one latte though, but it was satisfying, very rich, intense, and smooth. It can get your stomach moving!

The best coffee we had in our one-week trip in Paris. Both the single-origin black coffee and cappuccino tasted great - distinctive notes of the beans. We just shared one sweet pancake as we already had some other food beforehand. It was a whole wheat pancake in good texture, with honey, cream and caramalised fruits on the side, well mixed. A really busy cafe and tables were packed so it does not offer you the most relaxed environment, if that’s your concern.

What a breakfast, I haven't recovered yet! Hands down the best breakfast I have had in Paris so far! I had the breakfast sandwich (a croque monsieur) with bacon, egg and cheese on a brioche. Wow, the flavours were incredible! The coffee was so good as well, really strong flavour. I loved it! The place itself is really cool, very minimal. Service is good as well! Definitely recommend Back in Black!

YES!!! This place is a BIG home run, with friendly helpful staff, a very tastefully selected menu (you get a wide range of choices for both food and coffee, but everything is there for a reason) and unmatched coffee quality in Paris. If you’re a specialty coffee fan, this is the place to go. I also can’t help but applaud the boldness of serving raw tuna on a gazpacho - it was so fresh and original, loved it (if you’re more conservative, there’s plenty of classic choices too, though!)

One of the best coffee experiences I've had in all of France. The food was exquisite, the coffee was fantastic. Highly recommend you make time to come here and eat/drink here regularly.

Great coffee. Got the French toast and breakfast roll and both were amazing. Wonderful way to start the day. There were a lot of folks working with their laptops also, although there was a sign that may not allow this on the weekends. Check their website for the latest menus, they didn’t seem to have grilled cheeses anymore.

I can’t say enough about Back in Black. With 100% truth, I have to say this was the best French Toast I’ve ever eaten. Exquisitely presented with a thinly sliced poached pair and Pear Compote combined with Brioche French Toast and wonderful cream. Laced with cinnamon, it was a treat for my senses. We also ordered a breakfast bun that was just as amazing, perfect for those who like savory. Be sure to order a Happiness juice to go with your breakfast. I literally walked out on a food high. The servers were friendly, and I had to go back to the wonderful open kitchen and thank the chef, who threw me a pose as sweet as her breakfast was served. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!

A nice sit-down Cafe with a modern interior. The staff was very attentive and seemed to have a passion for coffee. It seemed like they roasted beans in-house and had options from a variety of locations. The Pullman style bread also seemed to be made at the shop. The back appeared to contain all sort of equipment for roasting and baking and really added to the whole aesthetic of the cafe.

If you're looking for a cozy coffee spot in Paris, back in black by KB Coffee Roasters is definitely worth a visit. The chai latte and flat white are both expertly crafted and full of flavor. The scrambled eggs are fluffy and perfectly seasoned, and the pancakes with bacon are a must-try. All in all, the food and drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is great for getting some work done or catching up with friends. However, it's worth noting that they do not accept American Express. If you're planning to pay with a credit card, make sure to bring an alternative payment method. But don't let that deter you from enjoying the delicious food and drinks that KB Coffee Roasters has to offer.

I'm a coffee lover and really wanted to try this place. Im happy I had the opportunity to come. The coffee, the food and the service were absolutely amazing. I tried the scrambled eggs and the Gateau Tatin & Caramel and they were delicious. Hope to come back

I recently visited this place for the first time and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch in a cool atmosphere in Paris. The pancakes and food at this place were both outstanding, and the industrial decor gave the restaurant a trendy vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and the prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service that we received. Overall, I highly recommend this brunch place to anyone looking for a great meal in a unique atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for pancakes or something more savory, this spot definitely won't disappoint.

This was very different and probably the best breakfast I have had in Paris so far! I had the breakfast sandwich (a croque monsieur) with bacon, fried egg, cheese, mustard, and spring onion on a brioche. The flavours were incredible! Really liked the mustard in this sandwich. The tea was so good as well. I had a black tea which had a lemon flavour to it as well. Never had a tea like this before but I tasted very nice. This place was very minimal and had a cool vibe to it. The service was very good as well! If you are in Paris and fancy something a bit different for your breakfast then I would definitely recommend Back in Black!

Good coffee, good food. You can buy beans and coffee accessories. Gigantic and delicious french toasts - consider it to share or as a stand alone dish.

scones was so fresh and delicious. Coffee roast for KB is light so knowing that I asked for double shot cortado but I get a single shot I asked to change it but they just pour another shot on the top!

Great coffee, where the beans are roasted on site too! I had the hanky panky pancake which was a delicious mix of sweet and savory. Highly recommend this place for breakfast if you’re staying in the area.

the least thing that i can say is that coffee is a very serious matter there. and the result is beyond my expectations. it tastes wonderful.

So let’s start with how good the eggs here , the only downside was the bread old and not toasted :( , for the coffee I got a flat white , was really good 😋and yes it’s a specialty cafe ☕️

Food was delicious. The egg on the portobello toast was beautiful, the breakfast sandwich had wonderful taste. Everything was a delightful surprise of tasty flavors.

Very cool, modern coffee shop. I'm not a coffee expert so I can't really comment on the specialty coffee I received. But the service was excellent. The hostess could speak English so that was helpful. Also the banana bread was indeed excellent and highly recommended.

Excellent Coffee and service. Great to find a place to enjoy among Friends with plenty of space to sit confortable and taste their wonderful coffee varietés. They have a stunning roaster next to the toilet, never saw so many different Origins! Roaster ist cool, wish he finds some time to visit my small coffee plantation in Southern Spain Service was very friendly. As your can see they have the best machinery so don't hésitate and buy some coffee top brew at home

Back in Black is one of the places I revisited during my trip to Paris. The coffee beans were rotated for both espresso, milk based espresso and filter. They paid a great attention to details, from roasting, cupping and brewing. The baristas were very skillful and constantly poured a beautiful latte art. I only ordered a piccolo the first time and felt a bit underwhelming, but I was very glad that it decided to revisit it after. Not only that I was able to have some great flat while using Guatemala and Costa Rica beans, but also I got to try a few items in their food menu. My favorite is savory scones. It came with zaatar roasted eggplant and zucchini. The cream cheese with pickled mustard seeds spread on the scone, a great dish if you prefer some savory dish. Another good savory option is Egg on toast with cashew pesto. The cashew pesto was nutty and aromatic, but the crushed cashew on top was a bit burned that day. They also had two interesting side dishes. One is sautéed spinach in sage butter and oyster mushroom fired in parsley butter, full of herb aroma. The other one is dill oil roasted fig with fennel, drizzled with espelette pepper, sweet, savory and some spicy kick at the end. Unfortunately, the side dishes can only be ordered with mains. French toasted banana bread is a great option if you are into something sweet. It was moisture, thick, soft, dense and buttery, a very satisfying dish! But it also needs lots of workout after to burn these sweet calories. At the end of my last visit, I also picked a few bags of coffee beans. The Ethiopian espresso was tasty as expected.

Not the friendliest staff, is something I would define this cafe.. Not welcoming, not helpful, The ambiance of this place is quite and relaxing, which makes it suitable for working, or studying! Coffee is not the best, they offer vegan milk, My order was Flatwhite with oat Milk, I wouldn't recommend it honestly... One more thing, pricess are higher than any coffee I have visited in PARIS!

Great and unique breakfast variations. Coffee and also tea is absolutely delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff! The earlier you arrive on weekend, the better the chances to get a table.

Ok I’m in a mood of adding reviews for all the brunch I tried since the covid first lockdown (mid 2020 til now) and I start with this one. Probably in my top 5 of places for brunch right now. For coffee lover this is the spot! And the food, although a bit unconventional, is excellent. If you feel like trying something new for brunch don’t hesitate to try this one!

Excellent coffee house in Amsterdam ! Very friendly service and delicious products. I had the chai and apple pie, both which were absolutely delicious! My significant other had a latte, which he said was really good. I would definitely come back here! The only thing is that it is quite popular, so it may be hard to find a seat.

Very good atmosphere and vibes, only had a coffee and a small cake and they were good. Good coffee in paris is hard to find and this one’s better than most. The service was nice. Definitely a good place for a cup of coffee with friends or just to chill and read your book

I’m a big fan of third wave coffee places and I’m always looking for a new one everywhere I visit. Back in Black is exactly the kind of a place I will come again and again for good coffee. I didn’t try the food menu so I can’t say anything about it. The cold brew is a must.

Amazing Sunday's breakfast - scrambled eggs with salmon with fresh arabica coffee from Ethiopia - chocolate and fruits - both tastes were recognizable after swallowing.

Best brunch place in Paris after trying quite a few. The flat white is good but what impressed me the most was the Savoury Scone dish! Freshly baked scones with crispy crust yet crumbly soft texture on the inside, sandwiching pan-fried fresh spinach, cream cheese, aubergines, smoked salmon and slightly melted Ossau Iraty cheese. The first whiff of the aroma was enough to have me gobble up the whole thing in no time!

Honestly the best place in Paris to have a coffee always made with love. They're friendly, consistent and always serve you something amazingly done. Don't go elsewhere you'd be wasting you time. ❤️

My new jewel in Paris, what is there to say except everything is exceptional: from the food to the drinks to the sweets. Plus a relaxing atmosphere and staff. A great combo that makes place great for foreigners and locals. If you are coming for lunch however do note that service can take a little longer as it does get quite busy...

Really nice and spacious cafe with interesting food options and pretty good coffee. I like that they offer oat milk too! Good place to grab a cup and read, but it does get quite noisy when lunch time comes.
