Another fantastic set menu Lithuanian restaurant. You're served with a multiplicity of courses all freshly prepared. (Its supposed to be 7 but it seems like much more) and each course comes with a carefully matched wine. The service is excellent and the food and drink fantastic. Its always packed so you need to book. It's in a very modern setting - the interior has obviously been very carefully designed. Highly recommended.

One of the most interesting and fun tasting menus I've done, if nothing but for the inventiveness of the whole thing (I mean, mushroom ice cream??). The way you go through and tick off ingredients as your food is brought to you adds a real element of fun to the whole thing, great idea for that one! The highlights for me were the bread and butter (legitimately, it's incredible) and the pear pastry dish that was heavenly. The wine pairings were perfect, every one was delicious and the staff were fantastic, in particular our main waiter who introduced every dish, he was superb and very funny. He made us feel relaxed and welcome and added some real character to the place. Loved the whole experience from start to finish and would 100% recommend.

Sweetroot is a restaurant with a relaxed yet formal design that just speaks quality from the moment you walk through the front door. My friend and I wanted to try the best food Lithuania has to offer, so Sweetroot seemed like the perfect place for us. The 7-course tasting menu was the ideal way to explore the full range of Lithuanian gastronomy. The service was excellent, the waiter kept the food and drink flowing at a perfectly steady rate, describing the history and purpose of every dish with occasional bits of humour thrown in. The radish, strawberries and dills were so obviously fresh and a combination that excited all senses. The exquisite combinations kept coming. The goat cheese dumplings with gooseberries and goosefoot leaves were a terrific way to showcase these ingredients and we both loved this dish. Fish was next on the menu and Northern pike was something neither of us have tried before but both want again and again now. It is worth a trip to Sweetroot just for this. Soured milk sparked out intrigue with the next course and it was married with chard and potatoes beautifully. Ox cheeks with beetroot came out next and they were so tender that they just melted in the mouth ā€“ wonderful! I thought that couldnā€™t be topped, but found the pork with spinach and brain mushroom a taste to behold. What a master this chef is! The final course was local rhubarb with yoghurt and hazelnuts. The food was all freshly produced and tasted amazing. Your time in Vilnius wouldnā€™t be complete without a visit to Sweetroot ā€“ this is Lithuanian gastronomy at its absolute finest!

A very original place with food focused on organic ingredients and totally original recipes, like no other restaurant I visited before. The design of the restaurant is very simple, pure, to the essentials maybe so you are not disturb from the food. The dishes are all very colorful. Some are very original and tasty, some are just original... The services is very attentive. The employees really care about the customers experience. Definitely worth trying it.

The best dining experience I have had so far in Lithuania and Vilnius. Love the take on local produce and seasonal availability.

This restaurant so far exceeds the typical 1-5 that it is hard to know how to explain it. The range of small plates, amazing flavours, fresh ingredients, surprises...one is inspired to learn the seasonal foods, herbs, flavours available. Awesome and remarkably well-priced, even with the wine pairing. Wow!!!

Amazing food and wonderful service. All local and much of it foraged. A truly unique and memorable experience. The wine pairing was well worth it as well!

Really inventive and tasty experience. Concept is seasonal food, heavy on the veg, arranged in small plates. Everything we ate was delicious and the combinations were really interesting. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was laid back and welcoming. The only reason this isnā€™t 5 stars is because the portions are smallā€”we bought a bag of crisps to snack on after we left.

šŸ˜ The staff was not friendly and seemed very unprofessional. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes before I placed my order, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had to draw attention to myself to finally place an order. The food was mediocre, not worth the money. It was not served as described...
