We have visited Amandus two times (in spring and right now in October) and we will come back again… Both times tasting menu was amazing! 🤩 Chef Deivydas is so attentive to everyone in the restaurant and you can see how much he loves cooking 🤍 also, after dinner you get small gift😍

We did the tasting menu with wine. We arrived before time and promised a welcome drink. We were shown to the table were some appetizers were waiting. No explanation, no drink. Certainly not what you expect for a tasting menu. Sat for about 5 mins before we approached staff and asked for some explanation of the food and our drink (which we had to pay for at the end!). On a positive Good flow of dishes, wine package was great and recommended. I think if our arrival and seating had of been better maybe 3.5 stars. But the food wasn't amazing, certainly not blown away. Food was boring not exactly a gourmet experience, try elsewhere for the tasting menu especially if spending €177 euro for two people.

It started with a lovely welcoming drink, followed by the most exquisite starters. The amazing catfish mousse and the gazpacho! The bread and whipped brown caramel butter, which is divine. The crackers are the perfect vehicles for the local hummus. When you meet the "Stranger in the night", this is the moment when you learn to love. Perfect combination of onion jam and I believe bao. The passion continues strong with "Burning love," mashed potatoes in its finest form. Followed by the absolute wonder of a combination of trout tartar. Next came the absolute star, the mushroom soup. This is a pure masterpiece. It was all a soul could want. It brought warmth, umami, and well-balanced tastes and textures. This is the dish I gave my heart to. The following lamb was something that was not for me. And all the desserts that came lacked in my view the balance, but they were curious and created so much interest. The elderberries with perfect bourbon vanilla. The vanilla sauce was perfection, yet the berries did not balance for me. The three chocolates dessert was a wonderful play, yet the mango confused me with all the different flavours of the chocolates, and I got lost. All in all. Go explore. it's worth it. Deivydas is an artist, and you will find a place in your heart for his and his team craft.

We came to this restaurant for my father's birthday, with the whole family and I am sure we couldn't have chosen a better place. The chef - Deivydas Praspaliauskas was so generous and entertaining. We felt so special, we didn't even notice others at the restaurant. We were told stories about each piece of the tasting dinner and wine tasting session that we had. Deivydas also made it more special by telling us stories behind creating such dishes, which was so interesting. Not to mention, that we forgot to inform the restaurant about one member being pescatarian and only mentioned it when we were already having the dinner - we were told not to worry and the chef came up with an alternative. We left full of food, wine and mostly joy. Not only - we received a goodie bag with different pieces of Amandus creations for the use at home. I have tried many high class restaurants around the world and was glad to find such a gem in my home country Lithuania. Thank you.

Here are the dishes I was served during the evening which lasted about 2.5 hours so it’s a nice way to spend the evening after sightseeing all day, it really is a quaint and nice city with good gastronomy! I would visit here again. The chef gave a small parting gift and that is very thoughtful and just wish them the best bcs they are doing a great job.

With the price point for this place, we had pretty high expectations going in. And they were met in every way. The menu changes every month, and the one we had was very well thought out. The wine pairings were for the most part excellent. The owner showed a real passion for his craft and was very nice. Be aware the tasting menu is time limited, you need to show up within 15 minutes. Overall we had a great food experience and will for sure come back the next time we're in Vilnius.

When we arrived we were wowed by the view and location, the lighting and music was also spot on. However we did notice we were given a table that was behind the tables with uninterrupted lake views even though we arrived first. I am assuming they reserve those tables for hotel guests. Interestingly my male partner and I were given different menus (he was given one with the prices on and I was given a menu without prices). This was quite amusing especially as I was the one paying! lol. We were really happy with the food. I especially enjoyed the beef main. I had dinner here with a friend. The service was very friendly. The pre-determined menu rivalled some star-rated french restaurants I have visited. The highlight were the two dessert courses. Very fair pricing and a large selection of wines by the glass in addition to the bottles and the menu-based wine pairing options. Highly recommended.
