It is a great place to fine and enjoy an Asian dish! They are rather concentrated on Indian and Thai foods, but occasional Chinese influence is felt. The restaurant has a lovely interior, but if you need to escape for study, this is not the place. The menu is lovely. They offer to vegans as well, plenty of different dishes from tofu, dals, eggplant. But all the best known meat is being server too. The spice levels are quite high for European standards, so take care. Maybe the only downside is the lack of greens and veggies. But the taste of dishes is really good. The price is quite fair and tap water is given as much as needed.

The lunch offer here is very affordable, but the food is also quite basic. You won't leave hungry, but it's not actually a jourey of tastes as well.

Very nice Indian restaurant, in a beautiful and spectacular neighborhood in the streets of the old town. With a very friendly staff. Foods with good taste and color. And awesome food variety.

Nothing very special. Food wasn't so tasty as I expected, we had to wait a long time for food. I think there are better places with Indian &, Thai food.

Great decor and wonderful ambiance. Transports you to authentic setting. Soup was good, fresh ingredients. Pad Thai was good, wish it was more spicy. Ginger tea is authentic Thai style freshly grated ginger! Definitely will return for a meal!

Looked forward to our visit in Blue Lotus which was recommended by several people. I have been here before and it was great. This time, unfortunately, the food (starters and main) came cold, the meat dishes were extremely dry (to the point you have to chew the cooked duck breast), the staff was not attentive or concerned. The sauces felt not homecooked rather like a store baught sauce. We have ordered naan bread which came about the time we already have finished our main courses. The advantages - good drinks & location. Sadly, not coming here again.

The restaurant is prettily appointed and feels authentic. Staff are attentive and friendly. However, the food was a disappointment. I wanted something simple on the evening, so I thought chicken sweet and sour will do. Unfortunately, the chicken itself is clearly precooked, and was re-warmed for my dish, as it had that unmistakable unappetising re-warmed chicken tang to it. Had the meat tasted ok, I would have enjoyed the dish overall.

(Translated by Google) It seems like I had to taste authentic Indian and Thai dishes more than once, but everything in this restaurant was very tasty. Food is served in beautiful dishes, it looks very aesthetically😊The staff is well versed in their work: they can tell about dishes, advise, etc. The environment is cozy, tidy. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance. Aplinka jauki, tvarkinga. Patartina iš anksto rezervuotis staliuką.

Food was very good but restaurant table service quite poor priority behind takeaway. Staff forgetting basic customer service as too busy. No courtesy checks, forgetting wine, my glass was empty for 20 min before I'd finished my main not once asked for a refill so....I gave in asking for bill as the takeaway orders went out the door as too busy to look after in house. May be just a busy period. 7pm on a Saturday

Had take away. It was pretty good. The hot versions were nice and hot. The special rice was special, but you don't need it, as rice is included. Just avoid the poppadoms. They seem microwaved instead of deep fried like you'd get in Britain. They taste like they're from Tesco. Otherwise, great!

Pretty decent place for Indian and Thai cuisine, some improvements can be done. We got some of the dishes not really hot, and they cool off pretty quick in the bowls served. Service was on both occasions very good, wines are priced very reasonably. I'd have liked more flavour and spicier (not hotter) dishes. We'll visit again.

Delicious authentic food for sure. Wouldn't recommend for people who are not willing to have a meal for a pretty high price. The service is friendly and helpful if you don't know something from the meniu, and the decorations really suit the overall indian/Thai atmosphere.

I am completely disappointed with the food! Ordered today for a lunch Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter chicken for 25 euros in total and I must say never have I ever was so disappointed with the food in my life, honestly the food was absolutely tasteless! How is it even possible?? Indian food is always delicious, but this - shame on you serve this! It doesn't cost not 25euros, no 5 euros. Usually I don't leave comments on Google, but today I should - so other customers think twice before ordering here - if you want chicken with plain tomato sauce (disgusting) - welcome.

Empfehlenswert!

Awful, the food mediocre, waitress detached from our table, I didn’t receive my order, after talking to her, said she forgot to bring it to me and that’s all, after did nothing. Good place to spoil your mood.

I liked all food what I ate in this restaurant. Very light, healthy, with not a lot of sugar and my tasty food. Kind and plesure service, and very cozy Azia style interior. In my opinion the best Azia food place in Vilnius.

A decent place. Very nice and friendly staff. However food was okayish. I ordered a lot but was disappointed by kofta as it felt the curry was undercooked in tomato sauce. Moreover, for takeaway I ordered chicken biryani which was unfortunately no where close to chicken biryani. Although, chicken tikka was good. Overall cozy place.

Fabulous & Delicious! A great experience overall. The gentleman who served us offered a top class service, which is a rarity in Vilnius. The food was really authentic and flavoursome. Portions are big so you leave full and happy. Thanks for this, coming again sometime, keep up the good work!

I had great expectations for this restaurant, a lot of people are eating here and with a Google rating 4.5 the food should be excellent. What a disappointment, ordered 2 Thai dishes, chicken and pork. For both dishes the meet was hard en dry and clearly cooked in advance, the sauces were of the same quality you find in bottles in the supermarket, I did not finish the pork it just didn't taste good! I've been mild rating this 3 stars.

We ordered two curry’s. One was a Butter Chicken and the other was a Chicken Tikka Masala. Both the curry’s tasted very similar … Tomato pure with some herbs 😂 I have lived in London for many years, and have tried many good curry’s out there .. therefore I know what a good curry tastes like and these were far from that. I’d definitely recommend that the owners take a trip to London and gets a take away curry, maybe then they’ll see the standard it should come at. Also, the portions are tiny, The poppadoms are spicy and over baked. Onion bhajis are way too salty too. I won’t be ordering from these guys again.

I had tried Sues Indian Raja so thought of trying blue lotus. I found the ambience food and service everything very average. If given an option I will probably go to Sue Indian Raja again. Here I had ordered Lamb biryani and mixed fried rice. Lamb tasted so bland and not well cooked and even fried rice was full of egg and with some big pieces of chicken.

Quality food and service. Thanks to the friendly and attentive attitude by the waitress Monika. Been coming to this place since 2017, and really appreciate that the food quality is maintained and did not decrease with time. Curries, Tika, Naans and much more are tasty whether with a juicy chicken or salmon or prawns. Definitely coming back.

  • 5/5 Kishore S. 4 years ago on Google
The Dal Makhani was yummy :) Extra rice for just 1 euro was affordable and led to a wholesome meal. Getting drinking water for free in a restaurant is rare in Europe, and we were happy when the waitress brought us an entire copper jug of lemon water. The ambiance was good with nice seating and decorations.

I went there for vegan dinner on New Year's Eve, and it was very tasty. We had crispy eggplant and samosas for starters. The samosas were a bit dry but relatively tasty, whereas the crispy eggplant was delicious. For mains my gf and I had green curry and pad thai. In my opinion the pad thai was a bit overcooked and could have been tastier, but the green curry was very tasty. The place is beautiful, and the food arrives quickly.

Ok, but not great. Maybe it was an off night but I can’t see where the 5 star reviews are coming from. Nice place, cosy atmosphere, prices average-high, food quality good but pretty bland tastes and served somewhere between cold and luke warm. Enjoyed the plain and garlic naan breads, which were hotter than the curries! Service was mixed. Initially very attentive but it drifted as the evening went on. Would like to give it another try to see if it gets better but wouldn’t risk it.

Lovely dishes both Indian and Thai, order spicy as you like it!! Took some friends for their 1st Asian meal and they loved it too!

  • 3/5 Virginia B. 1 year ago on Google
As for Indian food, the restaurant has not that many meal options that one could expect from actual Indian restaurant. Was very few chicken curry options. Staff was nice and polite but knew very little about the dishes and Indian cuisine and brought us a wrong naan bread than we ordered. Butter chicken had chewy chicken and sauce tasted way too tomatoey (almost to the ketchup like tomato sauce taste). Samosas we’re good tho. From Thai food we had a soup and that was decent.

Interestibg menu that features both Indian and Thai dishes. Good service and nice surroundings with tables well spaced apart. Spice levels have been toned down to suit local tastes, so if you want something more authentic you need to request it specifically. Lunch sets are very good value (soup, main course, side dish and naan).

I gave two stars, not one, because physically we haven't been in the restaurant, so can't tell much about the premises or the staff, but we have ordered delivery a few times. All of those times the food was bland - we ordered spicy food, however, there we could not feel nor spiciness nor any herbs or the spices themselves - the food was just tasteless. Indian cuisine is one of my favourite and I have been to numerous Indian restaurants in London and around the Europe but this was nothing similar to those restaurants quality and taste wise. I have read the reviews of famous food critics about this restaurant and they did not live up to reality - there was no spiciness or taste. However, garlic naan was very good!

  • 3/5 James P. 9 months ago on Google
The sauces tasted like they were straight from a can. No authentic spices or flavors in our soup or entrées. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Service was only acceptable as the waitress brought out the wrong meal. They was a very long wait for such a flavorless meal. Sadly, we were very disappointed with the food.

I have been at Blue Lotus for dinner during weekend. Restaurant is cozy & have a great atmosphere. Concerning the food, Thai soap was great but chicken satay was not at level. Then, main dish, tandoori mixed grill: - meat was dried - size was really small - fulfilling at least the middle of iron plate - cold sauce only direct from shop. Not tasty and senseless with naan. - dry rice without any flavor/perfume For the service, I have asked ice with my drinks and waitress was more than upset and clearly show it. I had to ask twice. Maybe wrong choice of meals, not a good experience!

I have no complaints about the food but I do for the management. Blue Lotus has an issue with the heating. Take your food out and avoid eating at the place during a winter or get cold because of the cross wind at the first floor. Whenever the front door opens - cold air rushes across entire room especially over your feet. Perfect recipe to catch a cold. Restrooms are +10 Celsius as well. Waitresses looks to be under trained. Too slow to notice that you are ready to make an order but did change our table to a warmer one. Thanks to her. Mango chicken was very good. Honey pepper duck even better. Restaurant experience - cold sick.

(Translated by Google) Do not rely on Tom Yam as in Thailand. Very European and runny. They cooked ordinary rice, Basmati, which, to put it mildly, does not suit Tom Yam. Masala tea tastes like milk tea with a splash of cardamom. Only the chef has succeeded in orange juice.

😐 The staff was not friendly and seemed very unprofessional. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes before I placed my order, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had to draw attention to myself to finally place an order. The food was mediocre, not worth the money. It was not served as described...
