Džiaugsmas is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is great, with a dark interior so the food really takes the spotlight. The service is excellent, with fast, friendly and attentive staff. But the food-- my goodness, mouthwatering good. Just looking at the pictures is making me smile and wish I was back. The restaurant has been rated the best in Vilnius for a couple of years in a row, and it deserves it. Lithuanian food with a modern twist-- every dish is beautiful and delicious. Our favorites were dumplings and charcoal fish (appetizers), and short ribs and celery (mains). I cannot even choose my favorite dessert, since all of them were so good. Overall, a must in Vilnius. It is pricier than the average restaurant in town, but it is, in my opinion, worth every cent and more!!

We ordered the large tasting menu with 9 dishes in 5 courses for two, as well as the natural wine accompaniment. Technically, the kitchen wants to present itself at a very high level. However, what struck us when 4 appetizers are served at the same time is that the individual dishes cannot be given enough attention, in the kitchen and also at the table. This blurs textures and aromas that could have been presented better if served individually. After the first course, the rest of the dishes are served in succession. Flavours are precise and intense, in my opinion lacking a bit of balance. Same with texture and presentation, both lack a bit of refinement, depending on the dish at or between the extremes. The service should have been more attentive in our opinion, we noticed big differences in the team. The waitress who served us was professional and great as a hostess, but with little support from her team, which left us with empty glasses and plates at times. The open bar facing the guests seemed untidy, the wine glasses not polished clean. All in all a very nice evening, with some small flaws.

This place is really a gem in Vilnius. It's a fine dining restaurant but the prices of a small restaurant. It's amazing how they do this. The food is perfect. They change the menu regularly,so you can try new things. The prices are so cheap, if this was somewhere in France or Belgium, I'd have easily paid around 70-80 EUR per person or even more. Here I ended up paying around 27 per person. I also had the best Beef ribs ever. It was really tender and well done. Amazing experience and staff are very friendly. And a chef's compliment, some kind of toasted bread. Then, an amazing toasted bread with meat... Leaves you speechless, the ingredients are truly magical, as I cannot even explain what I felt. Organic rose wine, craft beer, an exquisite Margarita paired really well with the dishes. Then, it was high time for the duck. Literally to die for, no less. Crispy & soft, the texture was just unbelievable (perhaps, the best duck I've tried outside China). Tartar was something else. Usually you get a trivial one, but not here. Džiagsmas knows how to amaze, that's for sure. The way it looked was something out of this world. It was so juicy. It goes without saying that the meat was of high quality. And again, some sort of unexpected ingredients also. I think this might be the recipe for success. And the honey cake turned out to be the perfect ending to the perfect evening. So soft, the filling was so fresh, not toi sweet, perfectly balanced with pollen ice cream on top. And what amazed me most of all was the service. Friendly, dedicated, just perfect. This bistro is worth all Michelin stars in this world. P.S. Now you know what to visit when in Vilnius. You will not get disappointed...

For me the restaurant shined most through the side dishes and appetizers. And I especially enjoyed the bread, amazing flavour and texture. It was really really hot, I would have stayed there longer but I simply couldn't bare it.

However it failed to meet expectations, rolls (which are so famed) left nothing to be amazed of average at best. Snacks are boring, while bread are indeed nice, beef steak was cooked without error, slightly too much salt for my taste, but this is just me. Surrounding a bit too dark and 'cold' for me. The waiters spoke perfect English which was a huge bonus. Every bite was amazing, definitely a must visit place in Vilnius. The amount of food we got for the tasting menu was insane, didn’t expect to leave feeling so full! Our guest, who has visited some of the worlds best restaurants, was very impressed too!

I have mixed feelings about the place. Overall we had a good time and service was amazing. However, there's really nice food (snail starter) and some dishes which are average looking and tasting (veg starter for example). We also got the first table from the door which is in a really dark area, black walls, ceiling, table etc and there's a strong draft from the door so it was really cold to sit there. I suggest placing a curtain next to the entrance.

Staff’s knowledge about food and wine was exceptional. Our waiter’s whole vibe and his recommendations were top-notch. Atmosphere was very soothing as well. The only problem was that nobody checked back on us after we received our mains. They were mainly outstanding except for the Ravioli dish. Unfortunitely, Ravioli was too al dente and we only got a chance to verbalize it to staff when plates were being cleared. My flatwhite looked a bit confusing too. These little hickups in food or service didn’t spoil the night at all but having these tiny improvements would have taken it to the next level. Great night overall 👍

One of the greatest restaurants i have ever been to. The interior design is super minimalistic and black themed with perfect use of lighting giving the place a very nice vibe. The menu was great and simple not a-lot of dishes but had great variety. We weren’t super hungry so we tried several appetisers and all of them were great and super tasty. The restaurant manages to elevate traditional Lithuanian dishes and serve them in a very nice way. The staff were also super friendly and helpful.

Great place with great atmosphere and even better food. It is higher budget place but everything is well thought out, from interior to service and food. Started with some apetizers, for me the cod doughnuts, buckweet donuts with pulled pork were one of the best. Then had their beef ribs that comes for two persons, best ribs I ever tried, boneless comes with salad and backed potatos that adds touch of Lithuania to the dish. Also tried few desserts, each one with its own twist that brightens the mood at the end of the dinner. Some say you go to these high end places to taste not to fill you stomach, but I left Dziaugsmas with full stomach for sure!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Every dish beautiful distinctive and absolutely delicious. I recommend making your own tasting menu and pretty much ordering every starter every Main and every dessert. The wine list is excellent and well priced.

One of the best restaurants in Lithuania and a personal favourite. Beef who is okay, heart tomato with pistachio, cream and raspberries was a delightful surprise. Fish carpaccio with apples, was sublime. Called donuts are spectacular. All prices very reasonable. In fact you would expect to pay more for the restaurant like this, so it’s a nice surprise that everything is very affordable.

Ice cream with bacon taste was daring and challenging classic expectations. By far the best restaurant in Lithuania we tried and also one of our favorites across many different countries. In addition, it comes at a price, where you don't need to think twice before deciding to visit the place. Main dishes come in a range of 15-20 EUR apart from some more expensive beef cuts. We will definitely recommend the place to our wedding guests coming to Lithuania next year.
