When you first enter to the restaurant you cannot ignore the stunning decoration. Very special. The hospitality from the staff was great and they was friendly. We took the few dish menu and most of the food was good but we less like the fish and the dessert. I been many times in Vilnius but never pay so much money for a meal. A huge overprice !

We found Nineteen 18 to be an exclusive and innovative restaurant of the highest class. Nineteen 18 has an open kitchen and about seven tables in a modern minimalist environment. When writing this, Nineteen 18 offers a tasting menu at a fixed price, with beverage pairing in three different price categories (“Wine-lovers”, “Curiosity” or non-alcoholic alternative). Expect three hours starting at about 18:30 and over two hundred euros per person. There are excellent restaurants in Vilnius. Most likely, Nineteen 18 stands out as the very best. I must point out that our experience was outstanding. I describe our impressions below. After booking, the restaurant called us and offered adaptation to any allergies or other wishes. Upon arrival, we got a fantastic reception, with everything from taking care of our outer garments to our table seating. The entire staff of about eight people greeted us and the chef personally presented the kitchen and his staff to us. The service was fantastic throughout the dinner. Here the water glass was always filled and we never had to push the chair ourselves. The staff was not noticed and was always there for us. Everything was explained in a rich, clear and entertaining way in perfect English. We never had to guess or wonder anything. The timing was perfect, both in the small and in the large. In the beginning, we were a little tense because we didn't know what to expect. This quickly changed to pleasantness and relaxation, and our curiosity increased from course to course. The tasting menu, with the wine pairing, felt innovative and very well composed. We found that there is a common thread or theme throughout the menu, or rather, several silver threads twisted together. Everything felt consistent and well thought out in the smallest detail. I then think about such things as ingredients and their origins, cooking methods, tastes and taste sensations, presentation, serving, surprises for the guests, and creating the expectation. The tasting menu felt like a well-developed, unified product, with grand totality and astonishingly fine details. The dishes had a continuous forest theme with at least five different tree species, this was applied both to ingredients, flavors (including smoked flavors) and presentation. We also felt there was a distinct Lithuanian touch of the dishes, which were otherwise similar to those in the modern Scandinavian cuisine. Most of the ingredients came from the restaurant’s farm, completely natural and original of the Lithuanian cuisine, such as, for example, carrot, kohlrabi, artichoke, and black currant. Both the presentation and the serving at the table was surprising and made to perfection. In our opinion, the beverages fit perfectly with every dish. We chose the wine pairing named “Curiosity” because we felt more like curious amateurs than wine experts, and we also wanted the restaurant to take out the turns more. “Curiosity” included different kinds of white and red wine, but also cider, locally brewed beer and port wine. All beverages were of the best possible quality, with surprising flavors and colors, and in reasonable quantity. The tasting menu included 10 dishes, but with interesting tastings, there were 15 courses or servings. Our wine pairing menu included seven different beverages (plus bottled water). We highly recommend this restaurant for those who want to pay extra to have a rare special and memorable experience, appreciate excellent service and visual presentation, and appreciate innovative food and its combination with beverages.

Great resturant in Vilnius. 10 courses for 85 EUR with wine pairing for 64 EUR. A focus on Lithuanian products and Baltic food culture. Some nordic inspiration. Service was great. Friendly and down to earth staff.

An absolute gem - I have visited twice and will be visiting again in the future. The chef's table experience is well worth it - you get a lot of attention from the chef and staff. The food is great, the atmosphere amazing - and you may just end up discussing things with fellow foodies. 2024 EDIT: still pretty much perfect.

Went back as part of their reopening last week. Food was interesting but service was very arrogant and not what I would expect when paying €200 per head. Felt quite uncomfortable after waiting very long periods despite there being almost 2:1 waiters to tables.

I absolutely enjoyed the food and the attention the staff gave during that evening. Everyone was curious where I was from and why I visited Vilnius. The food was delicate and fresh, nice ambiance and location. Price is fair and I would recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy fine dining.

Nineteen18 came 2/30 in the Top 30 Lithuanian restaurants for 2022 and l can see why. The tasting menu is interesting and challenges the diner, so much so, that you don't know what's on the menu; obviously any allergies are always asked about. Chef greets you when the starter plate arrives with 6 delights including OX TESTICALS HUMMUS - asked him again as l thought l'd misheard...it's his variation. The pasta dish contained poisonous mushrooms which had been boiled 6 times to denature the poison. Lastly, the 2nd dessert contained fermented ants. This was a 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' moment. Great menu, service and tasty food. BOOK a cheap flight for the weekend and try some of the outstanding Lithuanian restaurants with exciting chefs

Absolute gem, great food, real celebration of Lithuanian produce in fantastic modern dishes, I have loved each of 10 dishes that we had. The wine recommendations were also fantastic, though we did not go with wine degustation, we have tried a few different types based on staff recommendations. Finally staff/service was top notch. Highly recommended and it is worth the price that you pay. Excellent... Thank you!

i had the pleasure to dine in at nineteen 18 as my farewell dinner to the 10days Baltic tour. The food was excellent, the vibe, the service and the interaction with the chef made the dining experience so unique. i had the tasting menu which took me 2 hrs to finish. while chatting with the server and the chef. if you are interested in good food, dining experience as well as interesting stories of the Baltics, then you should definitely try Nineteen18, suggest to book in advance as well

Superb experience. Great food. Respect for the chef making Lithuanian cuisine so interesting. The parallel between the name of the restaurant and the food was very thoughtful. Staff - professional and friendly. Cherry of the evening was whisky selection. Restaurant has a great variety of limited edition whisky.

Unfortunately, but a very big disappointment - the restaurant is in a beautiful place, quite expensive so it would seem that everything should be on the highest level - the tasting menu is rich and very nicely served, but unfortunately tasteless - shock - bland, without flavor and spices, not even salt and pepper feel. The tables are very austerely laid with no tablecloths or condiments. The service is polite but too laid-back. Knowledge of the English language of the staff is not enough for such a restaurant. Lack of knowledge of the basics and principles of restaurant customer service. This is not a profesjionaly team of waiters. As more customers appeared in the restaurant, they stopped controlling the service, chaos and mess. We were not served all the wines from the wine list during dinner (out of six wines, we were served 4 wines, including red wine with beef - incomprehensible). Dinner lasted 2 hours, we paid 265 euros for dinner for 2 people. Very poor overall impression.

1918 on New Year's Eve was my first tasting menu, and it has set a high bar for future restaurants. Each course was unique, and each was a revelation. I learned a lot about food (and wine) that evening, and it was marvelous to see the work of a chef and his team at the top of their game doing really inspiring dishes. The wine pairings were excellent, and a few of them were really unusual and broadened my palate considerably. The service was flawless, and also deeply hospitable and friendly. Even though this was my first foray into fine dining and I am by no means wealthy, I never felt anything but comfortable and relaxed. I haven't looked to see if 1918 has a star, but if it doesn't, it certainly deserves one!

Nice and We may not be able to travel to every country on Earth, but a great way to get a taste of a culture is to sample its signature dishes. Try cooking up a storm in your own kitchen or – when dining out is on the cards again – find a great restaurant and let your taste buds set sail on a culinary adventure across the globe. Here's a selection of popular dishes you shouldn't miss.

The food was heavenly good. Usually, I cannot touch pickles or purple onions because of their tastes. But I ate up everything today, even the dishes which had the mentioned ingredients. They were simply too good. The chef & the staffs were amazing. I was a solo dinner. Often times, I would be on my phone. But this time, I got into some nice conversations with the chef and the staffs. It was genuinely nice of them to keep me accompanied during the evening. I walked out of the restaurant “full” - stomach & soul.

Nice Service and dining experience in old town, it brings lots of surprising as the menu on the gate of downstair. I even not look at that, but which is become a secret menu esp at Friday night. Waiters are try to provide more relevant foodies story and echo with the clients feeling after taste even they still not familiar with some words in English. But they’re trying to do it, that’s very positive way to express the passion of how they love their job. All the vegetables and mixed sauces are brilliant, it could tell the team after kitchen to explore a lots of the food itself. Top 3, beets in main courses; mushroom sauce in the dumpling and following with the pickle in artichoke. Little disappointed on the meat course, a little bit salty for tartar and beef dumpling tasted over cooked and tough, may refer to Asian dumplings how to keep the meat stuffing in a tender and juicy. Dessert are super nice!!! Even for the tiny sorbet, it’s avoided too sweet, that’s the common thing I hv been met. Ant nest are creative but it need to be building a more attractive story. Btw, how does that snow sorbet making of? The texture are literally close to snow! Everyone hv to try this restaurant, no matter as a local or tourist! Big Thanks to offer a seat for a walk in customer!

😐 The staff was not friendly and seemed very unprofessional. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes before I placed my order, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had to draw attention to myself to finally place an order. The food was mediocre, not worth the money. It was not served as described...
