The
tower
has
a
great
view
over
all
of
Vilnius,
which
would
make
it
a
top
notch
place
to
visit
if
it
wasn't
dragged
so
far
down
by
the
atrocious
service
received
at
both
the
reception
and
the
restaurant.
In
the
entire
hour
rotation
of
the
restaurant,
we
only
barely
got
our
drinks
and
were
never
re-approached
to
place
an
order
for
food.
Even
when
attempting
to
flag
down
someone
from
the
waitstaff,
they
seemed
oblivious
and
simply
kept
walking.
Then,
once
we'd
had
enough
of
being
ignored,
we
tried
to
access
the
outdoor
observation
area
(which
we
thought
we
had
already
paid
for
downstairs
when
we
asked
for
it)
and
were
charged
an
extra
5
euro
before
we
would
be
admitted.
Once
we
paid
the
additional
charge
we
were
directed
to
wait
near
the
elevators
and
informed
that
someone
would
be
by
shortly
to
take
us
to
the
outdoor
area.
After
waiting
there
for
more
than
20
minutes,
the
bartender
happened
to
walk
out
from
the
staff
area
and
seemed
to
forget
that
he
had
told
us
to
wait
there.
Finally
the
escort
from
the
ground
floor
arrived,
but
even
she
was
unaware
that
we
were
waiting
for
access
to
the
outdoor
observation
deck
(likely
due
to
the
complacency
of
the
bartender).
After
another
15
minutes,
the
escort
returned
to
collect
us
and
another
waiting
party
and
we
were
finally
able
to
access
the
outdoor
observation
area.
In
short,
if
you
decide
to
visit
the
TV
Tower,
skip
the
restaurant
section
altogether
as
it
is
certainly
not
worth
the
headache
and
wasted
time.
But
I
must
admit
that
the
views
of
the
surrounding
countryside
and
city
are
quite
worth
the
price
of
admission.
