Good place to enjoy a nice view of the city, there are not many other spots for such a view. The ascent is moderate, via a series of wooden steps (don't worry, the steps are not very high) you reach the small plateau fairly quickly. The crosses themselves are unspectacular, but the view is magnificent.

Well worth the climb up the 300 stairs to get to the three crosses monument and view over Vilnius. Not wheelchair friendly. Stop any time going up and enjoy the forrest.

(Translated by Google) It is a historical memorial with a beautiful view, although to us the surroundings seemed a bit neglected. (Original) Történelmi emlékhely, gyönyörű kilátással, bár nekünk a környéke kicsit elhanyagoltnak tűnt.

This is a great place to visit and spend some time, it’s a lovely walk up and the park is really nice. However the key thing is once you make it to the crosses, the views over the city are fantastic, including an excellent view of Gediminas Castle. I would recommend going in the morning, when the sun is behind you. In the afternoon you are taking pictures in to the sun. It’s easy to get to, the road is just over the little river bridge from the entrance to the castle. I walked up the road but there are other routes. They were doing it up when I was there in April, so it should be lovely for the summer. Well worth a visit.

This is a must to visit! Up to the monument, there is a marked and paved trail with wooden stairs across the forest, too. It is a lovely place to just walk around, and the views from up here are breathtaking! I definitely recommend going here in the morning as otherwise, you will be taking pictures into the sun. And I would have imagined it is much less busy during the morning, too; I practically met no one during my walk.

Great lookout point, easy to get there, there is an asphalt road. However, it was currently closed and fenced, but it was possible to get there, and there were still quite a few people. I was there in the evening, so I had the opportunity to see Vilnius at night from that place. I definitely recommend. However, it would be better if they wrote down below the hill that it is closed and it is not possible to officially get there.

I thought it would be more difficult to getcto the top of the hill of three crosses monument, but to be honest is closer than what you think. And also you could choose the natural pathway into the greens instead of the principle road for a little taste of adventure and nature touch. I found interesting Land-art there as well. From the monument you have a good view of the city from above. Definitely worths the effort. 👍🏻

If you're looking for the best view of Old City Vilnuis, you must pay a visit to the Hill of Three Crosses. Three Crosses prominently overlooks the city of Vilnuis, LI. According to a legend, which finds its source in some historic events, seven Franciscan friars were beheaded on top of this hill. Wooden crosses were first placed there in the early 17th century. During the Soviet occupation, concrete crosses were levelled. The current crosses were reconstructed following the Lithuanian Freedom Movement of 1989. A wide viewing area at the monuments base allows for visiting groups and beautiful views.

I read via google reviews that this place is worth it if you love nature in the city and a climb on a hill. It was definitely true!! It was an amazing place 😍 I came up here early (9:00) and was together here with 3 other people. Beautiful natural area covered in snow. Felt like I was on top of the world! Be careful with the snow it was very slippery, I fell 2 times. But oh well, it was an adventure. You need to come here lovely people! 💜

We choosed the new stairs they've build. They are doing alot of constructions around the area, but it was nice to walk up. They have also made a few places where you can sit down and take a breath when you walk up the stairs. It's not so many signs showing where to go, and there's no places to buy drinks so I would recomend you to having a bottle of water or something else to drink as you walk up the stairs. The view was perfect, and as a tourist I liked the view alot. 😊

One of the most predominant locations in Vilnius, the Three Crosses Monument besides its historical nature, offers a great panoramic view over the city. You can choose to hike up or walk up a very well maintained stairway. Grab a snack and a coffee with you and relax with the city view.

A little demanding for aged people since need to take over 300 steps to the top, (don't worth it is pretty Safe and there are chairs for rest) but it definitely worth it. When I go in sept 2022, all direction sign is blank but it is not difficult to find the way. Another point to notice is that the path on the left side of the river is more easy to walk than the right size.

Really interesting monument with a long, interesting history. Also some great views when your at the top! Please make sure though when your up there that your not climbing (or your kids) on the monument. A few people were and it’s not ok. This monument means a lot to many people. There are a fair bit of stairs but it’s not to bad.

The hike up to the three crosses is beautiful and short. The view from on top is even more beautiful. It doesn’t take any longer to hike up the hill than 10 minutes if you are at least in fair shape.

Great panoramic views of Vilnius from the monument. It is a very short walk ( and climbing stairs) from the Gediminas tower ( around 20 mins). The nature walk to the monument was also amazing. There is a pagan monument fo the godess of fire on the way. Gives a peak into the pagan history of Lithuania. The resemblance of the Lithuanian names for the pagan gods to Hindu ones was astounding.

Bit of incline to get to the top but really worth climbing. There are multiple routes which you can go up from and most of them have stairs so you don’t need special shoes to go up. It’s only a little shorter than the Vilnius University tower but you get a panoramic view of the Vilnius city and it’s very pretty at night as well.

Three Crosses in Vilnius is a monument consisting of three crosses on the Hill of Three Crosses. This symbolic memorial was created to commemorate national heroes and events in Lithuanian history. Three crosses are also associated with Christianity and the Catholic tradition, being a symbol of faith and spirituality. The monument was created on the site where wooden crosses previously stood, erected by believers in memory of those who died in the name of faith.

Beautiful place worth to visit for everyone! Up there you can the beautiful landscape and small river. As well there is a walk way around the park with some things to see. It's the beautiful way of nature. There is a caffè near by when you can eat something or to have a drink. Place is good for everyone, all family, kids, animals, even there is possibility to get there with wheelchair. Good for spending time with falimy, friends, having a meal, running or walking. 🏞️

A bit outside the city but it was worth going all the way there. Its a massive forest with some really good hiking trails. You won't regret it.

  • 5/5 Anna R. 3 years ago on Google
Amazing, beautiful place! A must-see 15 mins away from the centre of Vilnius. 65m above a river. Cannot see the red hill from above. Should also walk below. To do this: drive 3 mins further down the road, turn right and go a bit further into the woods (up and down hills). Parking and watermill centre with a big café will be a continual delight to your feelings

Nice view of country and river Vilnius. We went there by walk from the downtown but I dont recommend this because there is no sidewalk for pedestrians so very long distance you have to go on the road and final part on highway! Also during the winter road was not cleaned so there was a lot of snow.

Yra aikštelė automobiliui pastatyti. Puikūs takai pasivaikščiojimui, suoliukai poilsiui, nenuobodus, akį džiuginantis peizažas su slėniu, atodanga, upe, obelų sodu. Tiesa, žmonių ten niekad netrūksta. Jei norisi ramybės, geriau eiti ankstų rytą arba vakarėjant.

From the castle till three crosses, the walk is worth every penny. You get the most beautiful views of neighboring places from the top. This place is known to the residents of Vilnius as the Hill of Three Crosses, precisely because of the monument standing on it. The three white crosses, silently over-looking the Old Town of Vilnius were erected here during the Second World War and are now considered a symbol of national identity.

  • 5/5 Vilius K. 3 years ago on Google

Great little walk up to the three crosses, good combination when back to back with the castle turret on the hill. Again gives exceptional views over Vilnius.

A must do in Vilnius. Even aside from the Christian and historic significance of this site, there is an unparalleled view of the old town. The hike to the top may not be easy for some. Everyone should be careful not to slip on the odd wobbly step.

One of the best places in Vilnius to enjoy the cityscape. Totally worth the 10 minutes hike up the hill, which is easy. You can sit down on the grass and even have a picnic, or read a book, overlooking the city.

  • 5/5 Usman M. 5 years ago on Google
On of the coolest place in Vilnius centre. Views are amazing from here. Free to climb. Good exercise to walk up the hill but you can drive up too but driving is up to the middle of the hill. All in all must visit place.

As one of the landmarks of Vilnius it is not only fun to see the Three Crosses on top of the hill from the city, but it is also fun to enjoy the wonderful panoramic from the sight. The stairs leading to it from the other hills are sturdy and secure and the platform itself offers nice-to-know information about the monument as well as the view.

The view from the top is worth the many stairs you have to climb to get there. I was initially confused how to get there as it is not well signposted and Google Maps showed no paths leading to it. TIP: You need to zoom in very close on Google Maps before the small paths to show up. There are a lot of metallic steps to climb and several parts of the path are in very poor condition so wear sensible footwear.

A must-see Vilnius landmark, that represents the (very bloody and utmostly cruel) beginning of christianity in Lithuania. Even now the chilling winds torture you cruelly as you approach this notorious hilltop, just as the Franciscan missionaries, that ventured in to bring the light of Jesus to these pagan lands, were mercilessly tortured.

A very nice spot to view the center of Vilnius. You should also enjoy the history of the three crosses.

Stunning view!! It is also lit up at night. Perfect place to just take a breathe....just be ready for the walk to get here.

Nice panorama, easy climb via stairs (located on the left hand side of the river, passed the bridge from Bernardine Gardens) - safe even after a snowy night.

Really great view, only problem is it's pretty damn hard to find the place.

It is free of charge and also provides a nice view of the city, to get there is a bit challenging as they are renovating the stairs, a walk around the Hill is also recommended, either to Saint Peter and Paul Church or to Uzupis Republic

Nicely renovated hill, nature, many little pieces of art, whole city can be seen from the top.

It was worth taking a long stairs track to get up here to enjoy the best view of the city.
