Fantastic museum! Very much enjoyed visiting it. They have an art section with works of Samuel Bak and info about his life, and an extensive exhibition about the history of Jewish life in Lithuania. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They also have some other exhibitions, for example one with streets in Tel Aviv named after Lithuanians. Highly recommended!

This is a fairly eclectic museum. It's labeled as the Samuel Baks museum from the outside and the first floor includes an amazing retrospective of his art, from his first notebook in Vilnius to his internationally recognized paintings from almost a century later. After this floor there are more individual exhibitions as well as a larger survey of the Jewish community in Lithuania. Underestimating the size, I didn't give myself enough time to enjoy the museum fully. I would recommend at least 2 hours to scratch the surface of multiple exhibitions.

I went for the Samuel Bak exhibition, which was really nice. This museum has multiple floors, but it doesn’t take long to go through everything. They have student tickets, but I have forgotten what I paid. It is definitely worth taking a trip here if you are nearby. The paintings were very interesting and the usage of colors were nice. Some of the paintings reminded me of the optic illusions, which was a bit unexpected for me.

It was a nice museum. The paintings were great. I wouldn't consider it to be a must visit but if you are here for more than 2 days then I'd suggest you give it a try.

Renamed recently to the Museum of Samuel Bak, whose paintings are exhibited. And those made a great impression on me! I do recommend.

Only by learning about the past, can we have a better future. Here, you can learn about the history of Jews in Lithuania and how their populations were devastated.

A very engaging history of Lithuanian Jews plus the related art of Samuel Bak with its vivid colours, gave me new insights on how these people have existed and suffered over the centuries.

Great exhibition of Samuel Bak’s paintings. His first exhibition was at Vilna Ghetto at the age 9, he survived in Holocaust. He painted powerful and thought-provoking works of art. Bak's paintings has surreal and dreamlike elements with realistic depictions of objects and Jewish people. The museum shows great interviews with Bak (in English).

A small museum of what once was a thriving Jewish community in Lithuania. The information well written and easy to understand. The Samuel Bak exhibition is superb and not to be missed. Entry is modestly priced and so there’s little excuse to miss this place.

SAMUEL BAK MUSEUM is very exiting. I recommend visiting it. Samuel Bak's paintings donated to Lithuania are exhibited. A video interview of the painter is broadcast, in which he answers 15 questions. Samuel says that the puzzle of the history of Vilnius would not be complete without the Jewish segment. There are more individual exhibitions in other floor. This is a place to discover the authentic world of Litvaks.

(Translated by Google) We were very eager to visit Lasario Segallo's exhibition, we did! Impressions for the best! Wonderful! Of course, we visited the whole museum. He was deeply disturbed and impressed by the history of Lithuanian Jewish ghettos and their cruel fate. It was very interesting to read the stories of Jewish saviors and their fates. For those who are interested in the near-by history of Lithuania, be sure to visit this museum, it is definitely worth it, as there is always an exhibition of the works of the wonderful artist Samuel Bak! (Original) Labai norėjome aplankyti Lasario Segallo parodą,spėjome tai padaryti! Įspūdžiai kuo geriausi! Nuostabu!

Excellent museum, split between different sites in the city on a combination ticket. Obviously distressing in parts, but also very informative about this significant aspect of Lithuanian culture and history. Beautifully displayed.

We went there because we are jewish and we felt kind of obligated but it was really interesting for us. After all most of the developing Jewish community that used to live there extincted...

As a museum it is amazing! Spaces adapted for wheelchairs, modernly renovated and perfectly used, even the tiniest corners.
