One of the most exquisite Baroque churches in Europe, totally worth a visit! A small tip: don't go during mass, unless you would like to sit and listen, as you won't be able to walk around freely and pay attention to all the marvellous details.

The most beautiful church in Vilnius for me) This wonderful church produces a wow effect on every visitor. You should use Google to get to the church because it is located far from Vilnius Old Town. It looks unremarkable from the outside. On the other side, the church interior is a real feast for the eyes. The church looks majestic and has a rich artistic interior decoration which seems to be too pompous. Every painting and sculpture is executed very skillfully. The huge chandelier in the shape of a giant ship in the centre of the ceiling impresses everyone who visits the church. There's a museum here too. My recommendation)

The church is slightly away from the old town so it would be better to take the bus or trolley bus. If you really want to enjoy Baltic sub on a summer day, arrive on foot. That will take an hour. Inside, hanging down from the high ceiling is a ship-shaped decoration, which is quite rare. At the entrance there is an exhibition of Pope John Paul II in the time span between 1983 to 2005 in Lithuanian, Polish and English.

Amazing church, well worth the trip! Its decorations are something unique, and the maintenance is perfect to say the least. All is perfectly and purely white and you can spend many many minutes looking at all the statues and Latin writings. The panel outside briefly explains it’s history

One of the most stunning cathedrals I have ever went to. 1. Small but meaningful details on the walls, ceiling and pillars. All beautiful looking. 2. Church is still in use for praying, mass and weddings.

Church of St. Peter and St. Paul at Vilnius Visited on 1/10/2019 The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul is a Roman Catholic church. It is the centrepiece of a former monastery complex. The main altar is dominated by a large painting the Farewell of St. Peter and St. Paul. There is one of two large Turkish war drums (timpano, 140 cm (55 in) in circumference) that were seized from the Ottomans in the Battle of Khotyn of 11 November 1673 and granted to the church by its founder.

The photos speak for themselves. Walked from old town and Google led me through muddy paths, lots of stairs, some dead ends but seeing the ornate design was all worth it.

it is truly one of the most beautiful churches in Vilnius. built in the Baroque style, its stuccowork includes about 2,000 sculptural works the church is decorated with an organ. It is here that the relics of Kpzymir are buried. in this style, the temple was built by Italian architects Giovanni Pietro and Giovanni Maria Gali. it is a pearl of architectural Baroque.

Historical place that should be on your list while visiting Vilnius. Beatiful in the shape, wonderful in the complexity. Place that much gorgeous that even red army spared destroying the place while occupying the city.

As I saw that the facade was hidden behind the scaffolding (August 2022), I regretted the long way from the city center. But only until I came in. It's worth to see the inside, wonderful decorations, amazing architecture. I didn't expect such a baroque masterpiece.

It is impressive what they have done in this church. It is full os details, from the floor until up to the ceiling. It was planned and built in a way to provide a really good acoustic environment. The lights are also another outstanding point about this church. When all of them are on, it is just amazing. I strongly recommend you to go there and see what they have.

St. Peter Paul Church, 1408. Most churches are named after one of God's disciples, but this church is different. It uses the names of two disciples: St. Peter and St. Paul, which shows its importance. Under the steps at the entrance of the church is the body of the donor. It is said that in his last words, he asked to bury himself at the entrance of the church, so that future generations can step on him before entering the church, so as to atone for God. There is a lighting device inside the church, which can be lit by coins. The places where the lights are shining are exquisite. It's a lucky day to see three pairs of beautiful women and handsome men taking wedding photos

(Translated by Google) Peter and Paul Church (Sv. Apastalu Petro ir Povilo Baznycia) - May 2019 'Regina pacis - Funda nos in pace' - or: 'Queen of peace, protect us in peace' - I see this invocation to Maria on the facade (just 'Google-translate' over it ...) and it is a nice introduction to this beautiful church. The church is sober from the outside, but impressively beautiful is the baroque and all-white interior, with more than 2000 stucco images of Biblical, mythological, allegorical and historical figures, animals, plants and things - they cover almost the entire interior of the church! Pietro Perti and his team worked on it for 30 years, and it was finished in 1704. Despite the suppression of the church in the Soviet years, this building was thoroughly and beautifully restored around 1980/1990. My first impression is: just sit down and look around for half an hour, let this God house work on me. But…. for our excursion group it is only one of the program components. So for me: quickly capture as much as possible and luckily the light in the church is wonderful for photos today! There are many beautiful things to see in this church: a Latvian chandelier in the shape of a boat, made of brass and glass beads (1905), and a Rococo pulpit from 1800, beautiful old icons and - between the stucco parts in the ceiling - huge baroque paintings. The Peter and Paul Church is located outside the historic city of Vilnius in the suburb of Antakalnis.
