Not huge but has interesting items. Most of the descriptions are in Lithuanian with short titles in English. The back room has model trains and toys for kids. My boys thoroughly enjoyed it. €1,80 for a tickets. Kids were free.

I have hardly seen a Museum in my whole life that is carrying so little information with that amount of multimedia and VR madness. Loads of colourful pictures, but very little information. The money wasted for this museum, given the state of the railway in Lithuania, would habe been better spend to improve rail infrastructure.

Small museum, well priced for content at €1.80 for adults. Personally I enjoyed the exterior exhibition of vintage locomotives. A good hour of entertainment in total. Watch your head when coming out of one of the cab's, I managed to brain myself doing so.

A fantastic museum of trains for KIDS. 🚂 this museum offers interactive spaces and games for kids to learn all about trains and their history. 🎮 there is a simulator with a real control panel, buttons and levers... very funny experience for our 3 and 5 year old kids. 🚃🚅🚉🚞🚃🚂 Outdoors there is a variety of real trains of the last decades. When we visited in Aug23 we could onle.see them from the outside but it seems that they may open them to pubic soon. 👶👱👱‍♀️💁🙇‍♀️🚸 A must see and play experience if you travel with Kids in Lithuania. Very recommendable!

Cool museum and a must have if you are visiting with children! I love the variety of items on display a lot of these are authentic with a real backstory and history. There are also plenty of interactive rooms and items you can touch and play around, it's great for the kids to play and learn about. The mini train station and rail tracks was the highlight of my visit, unfortunately it wasn't working, still it's cool if it ever is going to be working.

If you're into trains or whether you're accompanying a child, this free open air depository could kill some time or a few hours even. An interesting collection in itself but somewhat lacking in presentation, and unfortunate that the trains are locked, barring the experience of getting an inside feel, understandably to protect the exhibits, but nonetheless disappointing.

Perfect place to visit. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, inside exposition is closed. But still open air exposition is amasing. Definitely worth visiting.

Costs 6 Euro to enter and the rail yard is currently closed. The museum is on the second floor of the station and includes multi media stuff which is good for small kids but is a hard pass for most adults. Take that in mind if choosing to visit this museum until the rail yard is open

A hidden gem right at the main train station. Lots of interesting and interactive exhibits showing the railway trough history. Very kid friendly if you have a long wait for a train.

Besides the fact that displayed elements are of interest, there are NO access facilitated for baby trollers. No lifts, only stairs. Families do not seemed welcome....

Not very interresting if you don't understand lithuanian. Otherwise it looked well done and is probably fun for kids.

Its closed during winter time. Why on earth i cannot note this as an information when editing a place? Then people come for nothing.

When I was there it was closed, but even from outside you can see a lot. You can find a German BR 52 („Kriegslok“) beside other engines. Next time I will visit...
