The staff was not friendly and seemed very unprofessional. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes before I placed my order, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had to draw attention to myself to finally place an order. The food was mediocre, not worth the money. It was not served as described in the menu. The location is quite nice. Last time I've been here (winter 2018) everything was great. I don't know what happened. Would recommend the mushroom soup

The hotel concierge recommend this restaurant to us this morning, as we wanted a unique eating experience. we were not disappointed. easy to find, lovely walk through the streets on route. Best to get there early and really savour the dinning experience. clean premises, friendly and polite staff, prices very good. I and my colleagues had a great time and will recommend it to our pals when home.

An excellent place to try Lithuanian food. I loved my sauerkraut and pork soup, and the Lithuanian dumplings with sour cream and pork crackling that I ordered. I probably wouldn't order the pulp cranberry drink again, sort of a thickened, slightly sweet water with cranberry bits in it, and my friends who ordered the mushroom soup in a bread bowl were disappointed in the quantity. That being said it was a great experience. Great food, nice atmosphere, and a helpful wait staff.

The restaurant mainly offer local food ,and is located at the main street downtown. That’s why it’s better reserve in advance or dine there during off-peak hours, because it seems almost full all the day in summer time. The restaurant staff could give you recommendation for food order as requested. AND,the price is so reasonable that you would like it.

Food was nice, we ordered several things as we wanted to try Lithuanian food: herring salad, potato dumplings and cheese plate. We had to wait around 15-20 minutes at the door to be seated but they never came to told us to wait. Staff is not the most friendly but worthy to try different foods.

This is a great local restaurant! Everything seems to be cooked fresh and is delicious. The portions are huge! We got dumplings, mushroom soup in bread and ribs to share between us. The donuts for dessert with a fruit vodka and a coffee are a winner. Very reasonable prices.

Great local restaurant. Must try potato dumplings. They are recognised by Lithuanian heritage fund! The sour cream butter was amazing. Be careful that these are very rich heavy food so don’t order too much or you won’t be able to sight see after!

Try authentic Lithuanian dishes in Vilnius’s top 10 listed must try restaurants. A very cool cave like ambience with interesting wall arts. Definitely a must recommend place to experience traditional Lithuanian cuisine. The beet root soup was okay but the potato dumpling was awesome! Pair it with a solid Lithuanian beer and its perfect! All that for only €12!

Highly recommend due to its interesting local Lithuanian menu reasonably priced. The restaurant layout offers big tables to easily accommodate large parties of people along an original cave like distribution. I didn’t like the only unisex toilet idea and they don’t have an English menu although it’s easy to order due to the pictures and staff attentiveness.

The price is normal, indeed for what we ate we spent little. (Original) Bellissimo locale, suggestivo e tipico. Personale simpatico e pronto a consigliarti il meglio. Affordable authentic Lithuanian food of the highest standard - plenty of options for both veggies and meat lovers. Their wild mushroom soup in a bread bowl is out of this world!

(Translated by Google) After a break of maybe a couple of years I went twice a week and it was fine again. The tables outside are great, the pizza with beets and goat cheese is still great (just thinking it would be delicious to pour some goodies). True, until I remembered to take a picture, not much was left kas And I really liked the ice cream with cashews. Table water is free, pleasant attention. Inside, too, still cozy, clean, original. In the past, I remember, and the coffee was delicious, I hope so. I'll be back again!

Was taken here by friends for traditional Lithuanian food, we sat outside on the terrace. Staff and prices are okay for the area, maybe a little cheaper than the other local restaurants. Location is on one of the busier streets alongside lots of other restaurants. I had bacon and eggs, it was okay, a little oily tho.

Great place for Lithuanian food. Very reasonable prices for such a central location, good selection and vegetarian options marked in the menu. We had the cold beetroot soup (delicious), fried bread, curd cheese stuffed dumplings and sweet curd dumplings, as well as a bottle of cherry wine. Everything was nice, service was very efficient and helpful. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vilnius!

Very nice lithuanian restaurant. The atmosphere within the restaurant is very nice as its mostly located in a cozy looking cellar. The food served is of great quality and is fairly priced! Service was fast and friendly. I can definitely recommend this place if you want authentic local food!

Worth to go! Don't be affraid if you see the line... You wait max 10 minutes, place is huge. But it's worth to wait! Value for the money-level 100000.... Food is great! Amazing! Tasteful! Fresh! Cooked well! And cheap :) Service is super kind and young. Really really recommend!

Service a bit slow but server had a lot of tables on a busy lunch time. Our main course took a really long time. I suspect it was under the warmer lights. The salmon was a bit dry but in general the salad was still very good. I would come back. breadsticks were amazing. Sausage was also good.

If you are looking for traditional Lithuanian dishes, then it is one of the best in Old Town. Comforting, warm-hearted dishes. Tried a few different dishes from different regions. They were excellent! It was amazing and tasty. One of the best meals I've had in Vilnius. The restaurant is very popular and could get very busy. I do recommend going before the rush hour. The service is friendly. Very welcoming. Price is always right.

Great, GREAT meal! Came here after two tour guides in a row recommended it. We enjoyed the mushroom soup, potato dumpling, salmon salad, roast pork, and ice cream. We were very hungry when we came and full when we left. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Excellent lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place is as picturesque in its decor as it is in its cuisine. The dishes are of high quality, and the price-to-quality ratio is consistent. The establishment is a victim of its own success, so the wait for a table can be quite lengthy.

Food was delicious. Service was good. A few popular Lithuanian traditional dishes on the menu, great place for tourists and visitors to try a few dishes in one place. Ordered the layered herring and thick wild mushroom soup served in a bread bowl as appetisers. The baked pork hock and potato dumplings (traditional style) for main course. Also tried the tinginys (chocolate salami). Food portions were slightly bigger than other restaurants. The pork hock was bigger than it looked from the pictures on the menu and Google reviews. Prices were reasonable. Decorations of the restaurant were pretty. A nice restaurant to have a romantic or casual dinner with friends and family.

Excellent restaurant to eat something typical, quickly and cheaply. It could improve in cleaning the tables (some very old and worn) and the bathroom. We took 4 dishes for 2, 40 euros total. Next time I will try other more elaborate local cuisine restaurants.

Very good location in the center. The waitress spoke English and Lithuanian. The menu covers a lot of traditional Lithuanian dishes with different types of meat and potatoes. in general the food was tasty, but not the best. The Keptu Duona was average. I would eat here again.

Immersive experience in old Lithuania. The service is slow, but that's the same throughout Vilnius. The food is spectacular and at a very reasonable price. Very nice, the waitresses were very friendly. They spoke English, and it was relaxing. Congratulations from a guy from Spain!! We liked it so much that we went back to try the rest of Lithuania's typical food. Definitely the perfect place to do so.

This place is top notch. From ambiance, to food selection, to service, to price. Everything was perfect. We tried so many things on the menu and our bill was still less than 40€! The food was delicious and our server, Brigita, was extremely attentive which I’ve found rare in Europe.

I liked this place, we found it as a suggestion in a blog, making clear that is a local chain so not to expect a WOW experience! And that's what it was, a pleasant night with good food in a cozy wooden restaurant! Traditional dishes are served so you have different options and the taste of the food was really good! Service could have been better but, again, we are talking about a chain! If you have enough time, I would consider to visit one of the branches during your stay in Vilnius :)

Favorite place in Vilnius! :-) Great service, cheap and tasty food. Dumplings for ~€5,50, amazing mushroom soup for €5, beetroot soup €3 and potato pancakes for €5. Very authentic taste, we went here twice during our stay and really liked it.

Trying Lithuanian food for the first time, good restaurant, its a chain. So plenty of locations. The portions are massive, be careful not to over order. Best place to try traditional Lithuanian dumplings with 15 different varieties. Mushroom soup and the duck dish with baked apples on the side is amazing.

  • 4/5 Lisa B. 5 years ago on Google

Despite the fact that I noticed that I do not eat pork meat, they didn’t notify me that my order was with pork and then they refused to cancel it, by saying we are already preparing. Good but not great vegetarian pizzas in Vilnius. Menu is small as it should be with variety of different pizzas to choose (and other Italian dishes mainly). Outside sitting is pretty bad due to tiny pavement but it's not the fault of the restaurant. Overall had a tasty lunch for reasonable price. Oh and spicy options are not really spicy, but You should already be accustomed to that in Lithuania.

We’ve been on a city break in Vilnius for 4 days and eaten there twice ❤️ The food is so delicious. I loved the fried bread with cheese - I could snack it everyday. The cold beetroot soup - the best I’ve had. Everything was so tasty and veeery filling. Great value for money - you have to go there when you visit Vilnius. I recommend it 100%

I've only been in Vilnius a few days, and I've eaten here 2x. It really is that good. Traditional potato dumplings stuffed with meat, topped with sour cream and cracklings was excellent. Kėdainiai potato pancakes with minced pork was surprisingly divine. If you've had a hashbrown, it may look like one, but the taste is next level. Roast chicken breast was juicy, well seasoned and delicious. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for an authentic Lithuanian restaurant with marvelous decoration, friendly staff and close to the old town, Etno Dvaras is the best option. There's a good verity of choices for foods and drinks. Take advantage of the low Lithuanian prices and enjoy your meal 😊🇱🇹

Nice local Restaurant, Kind and respectful staff. Good local food. The only issue isthe bathroom which is mixed but not a big deal. You have open air or in door choices. And likely atmosphere with antique photos and cultural motif around. I recommend you this place.

Went to this restaurant and the theme there is so beautiful. They serve traditional lithuanian dishes. Staff are very attentive and helpful. If you ever visit Vilnius, I recommend you to stop by and have a meal with family and friends. The portion is big and affordable for its price. I enjoyed it, so delicious.

Really good Lithuanian food. We came here for both lunch and dinner and the restaurant was pretty busy. Either come early or make a reservation. Highly recommend the cold beetroot soup, having said that, the hot beetroot soup was really good too. The fried pork belly (bacon) was cooked really well, a crusty skin and melt in your mouth fattiness. Full of flavour. For the non beer drinkers looking for something out of the ordinary, try the soured milk. A thick, yoghurty, delicious concoction soured with sauerkraut juice. Portions are super generous. Service may seem abrupt at first, but they really are very helpful and happy to recommend dishes and drinks and answer your questions. We feel they are proud of their traditional cuisine and they rightly should be. It is delicious.

Delicious quality food, good presentation of dishes, lovely place to sit and try traditional Lituanian dishes. Just in the heart of the city. Very good beer. I recommend mushroom soup and the duck in Redfruits jem sauce. Expect to wait for at least 15 minutes, the restaurant is really good and everyone want to go there. You better book a table. The service has to be improved. I didn't find waitresses really nice, when you welcome a customer, it would be great to let him/her feel really wanted and not that you are doing a favour to the guest by doing your job.

  • 4/5 Giorgia M. 2 years ago on Google
Local, great presentation & fantastic ambiance. Affordable prices for what I would dare call delicious specialties. 100% can recommend. Not giving 5 ⭐️ as they unfortunately got one dish wrong and did not apologise/offered to take it out of the bill. Also, long queues.

  • 4/5 Bohdan T. 2 years ago on Google
Good variety of traditional Lithuanian dishes for almost reasonable price. Mushroom soup - tasty, but for 5 eur a portion could be slightly bigger. Potato pancakes, stuffed with meat (1 - 3.5 eur, 2 - 5.3 eur) - excellent. 1 piece is enough to get stuffed, but the 2nd one was kindly served as to-go. Local beer - good as well.

  • 3/5 Alexandra S. 2 years ago on Google
Locals say its a tourist trap. At least I got some taste of the local dishes, like the bread soup - which was nothing special and the dessert which was nothing special either 😀 I cannot decide wherher this is a good reference place for local food. The acron coffee was good tho.

Great Lithuanian food. A bit of a wait to get seated at a table (numerous people came and left whilst waiting for a waitress to even acknowledge the queue). Enjoyed the cepelinai! Wasn't sure what to expect but really enjoyed them especially with the landlords style butter and onion sauce. Highly recommended!

Cozy restaurant where you can try traditional Lithuanian food. I tried the beetroot soup and it was really tasty. As main dish, I ate the pork fillet and it was tender and delicious. The desserts were also good, specially the Dvaro cake. As for the staff, they spoke good English but the service was slow. We had to wait 15 minutes at the door where no one came to speak with us (which is ok because we didn't have a reservation, but they could tell us something at least). We also had to wait a lot inside for the desserts and for the check. I would recommend this restaurant if you have enough time and if you don't mind waiting for the service.

I went because a colleague recommended me the place. It has local food and it is good one. I found a little touristic, I enjoyed the food but it was not the best experience in the different restaurants I enjoyed on the Baltic countries.

This place is absolutely a MUST if you ever visit Vilnius. At the moment I was walking inside I felt “beautiful atmosphere and cozy place, probably gonna be expensive “ No, it wasn’t, food was delicious and the waitress service was amazing, fast, they were kind and efficient. I will definitely go back

That’s just an amazing place. I’d say the best in Vilnius!!! Food is so delicious, portions are big and pretty cheap. Beer and tea are superb. The staff are friendly. Speaks at least 4 languages (Lithuanian, Russian, English, Ukrainian, etc.)

Typical restaurant in the old town. Very central. Food is amazing and everybody is really nice. We sat downstairs where the mood is particular, like in a stone cave, fantastic! Also the terrace is really nice on a sunny day.

Great place to try local Lithuanian dishes. They have a lot of plates that are potatoe baesd and they're delicious. They have great local & house beer options as well as a local tea with berries. If you are like to try the local cuisine, this is the place to do it.

The food and price were perfect! Authentic tasty food, but THE SERVICE WAS REALLY SLOW. No one took us to the table even though there was a sign “please wait here to be seated”. Food came really slow as well. But I guess it’s worth the wait. Just would have been nice to have more servers or let us know how long we need to wait for the food.

  • 5/5 Greg K. 11 months ago on Google
Really good Lithuanian food. They have a nice selection of Lithuanian specialties and the menu includes a map of the country, showing where each dish is from. They were quite busy during our late lunch, but the food arrived quickly and was delicious. Our server spoke English as well, asking questions about items on the menu was not a problem. Very reasonable prices, excellent food, and good beer.

Excellent value for small money. The dishes are mostly simple, but incredibly tasty. The waitresses were polite and the service time was fast enough for a fully crowded restaurant.

Had the cepelinai and herbal tea. Food tasted good. Service quite good. No need to wait for a table. Chill atmosphere. One minor issue is that there were some flies, managers should take care of them.

Authentic Lithuanian food. We ordered a variety of starters and shared them, so we could sample a larger variety. The menu was available in Lithuanian and English. It also included pictures, so it was easy to identify what we wanted to try. Staff was efficient and friendly.

Very delicious and authentic Lithuanian dishes. A bit touristy, but friendly staff and fair prices. One recommendation: The restrooms were not very clean. The trash bin should be emptied more frequently.

Went to try traditional lithuanian food there. Soup was perfect for hot day and cepelinas was interesting. Sour cream sauce fits perfectly with it. As you can imagine ,place is very popular. We didn't book anything and get the table pretty quickly. Our waitress seemed a little cold and in a rush, but as I wrote - place is very busy.

  • 5/5 Ian S. 7 months ago on Google
This place is excellent! Traditional food, well presented and served at really affordable prices. Staff were good too for how busy it was. We went for lunch and managed to get a table quite easily, but the restaurant is very popular and when we walked past it in the evening, there was a long queue, so I would suggest booking if possible.

  • 5/5 Don A. 7 months ago on Google
Was recommended by all the locals around for the best Cepelinai and the food was really great! I had some of the best Cepelinai I have tried and food was at a very reasonable price as well at €6.95 for two large Cepelinai which were very filling. Also tried the wild mushroom soup in rye bread that was very tasty as well. Also have outdoor seating with good service and can’t fault much. Also have good toilet facilities as well with a decent bar. Restaurant is much more bigger than in size than it looks from the outside and lots more seating indoors. Highly recommend 👌🏽

  • 4/5 Caroline J. 7 months ago on Google
You can't book a table here so have to wait for a seat. It was busy at lunch time but was ok when we tried again for dinner. Some staff seemed inexperienced but with help from colleagues we got everything sorted and it was served quickly. Food is robust, we went with the classic Zeppelins, Beetroot Soup, Acorn Coffee and Dessert will be in photos. Really enjoyed the Acorn coffee, my first time trying it, reminded me of Orzo. Decent prices for decent food. We were seated downstairs and on the stairs I met a patron leaving and having difficulty with the stairs as in his own words he was so stuffed. So you won't leave here hungry.

  • 5/5 Felipe L. 7 months ago on Google
For my last lunch in Vilnius, I wanted to have some traditional Lithuanian food, and this place was exactly what I was looking for. After finishing the cold beetroot soup and meat filled potato dumplings, I was ready for a nap. 😴 The waitstaff were all nice, though there wasn’t any music or much of a vibe in the restaurant. I would still return to try other things.

  • 5/5 Tracy B. 7 months ago on Google
Great fun. We queued to get in as it is so popular. We were served very promptly by a cheery and welcoming person. We ate in the cellar area - very atmospheric. We specifically wanted to try Lithuanian traditional food. I loved the pink soup. The boiled potato dumpling was MASSIVE and quite honestly, hard going, think proper winter fuel food. Think I'd have a fried one next time as I'd prefer the texture. But you know, it's good to try all types. Really enjoyable evening and I'd go again.

  • 5/5 Diego D. 6 months ago on Google
At the beginning I was a bit skeptical: very touristic location in the main street of Vilnius old town and the claim of serving the real Lithuanian food. But I was tired for the long bus journey and the evening was starting to get a bit too fresh so I decided to step in. First positive point: you have to wait to be seated, great! It avoids confusion and helps the waitresses (with typical Lithuanian rural clothes) to get their job done. My waitress found me a table relatively quickly and I placed immediately all the orders, which she managed to bring avoiding me long waiting times. Service is amazing, all waitresses speak perfect English, they're extremely efficient and gentle, even if it's clear they're working under pressure. Let's come to the food: guys, this is spot on! It's real homey, traditional food prepared with care and fresh ingredients, with a fair quality-price for being in the city center, something many restaurants would use to raise their prices beyond what's reasonable. Payment with card is always possible even if I used cash to leave a good tip to the waitress, because she definitely deserved it. For all the food and beverage in my pics, I spent less than 28 Euro. I leave the comments to you. Best advice for traditional and non-touristic food in the old town!

This is a typical tourist trap restaurant, but dont mind that, its still a pretty good place! As the majority of restaurants offer pizza, pasta or burgers its great to experience traditional home cooked food for once! Prices are affordable and portions are massive! Setting is traditional Lithuanian and the food is potato and porc based. Their slogan is …just as you remember from your childhood… and thats exactly as I do. This is basic food from the past, and it probably is an acquired taste for the young, but for me it was a trip down memory lane! The potato dumplings was just like my grandmother made them (even if Im from Norway, we share a lot of traditional stuff with the Lithuanians). Well done Etno! Please visit and support! Expect some waiting time to be seated, but its worth it!

  • 3/5 Ludmila M. 6 months ago on Google
Mediocre food (Meat in Kiev cotlette seemed not so fresh to me, still edible, but not the freshest). Amount of potatoes could be bigger. Chicken filet was good. The place has a huge marketing around traditional Lithuanian menu, yet the half of the menu is basic. Probably our opinion would be better if we tried some of the traditional options instead of the dishes we took. House wine (blackcurrant red wine) was good. Mediocre service (waiting at the entrance to get seated, waiters are not confident in their actions). However, the atmosphere of the place is cool - the vibe of medieval tavern. Overall I do believe that the price corresponds to the quality and it is worth it to experience once.

We sat outdoors and it was nice people-watching. I ordered beefsteak and enjoyed that it came with a roasted tomato and a head of garlic, in addition to French fries and salad. We both liked the food so much we came back another time.

Landestypisches rustikales Essen- uns hat es geschmeckt- besonders die Stücke fetten Speck ( sowas würde ich in Deutschland nie essen- hier schmeckt es ganz anders und köstlich). Auch das dunkelbier war lecker.

When I was staying in Vilnius I went there to taste some local food according to some other recommendations. After waiting some time at 9 PM I had a table for 4 for myself. I discussed with waitress what I can taste as Lithuanian food and with her recommendations I chose the mushroom soups. And it was very tasty, but maybe there was too Mouchoise of bread. For the main course, I decided to tase the homemade sausage with some purée and vegetables. It was delicious. To d’incohérences I chose the local dessert the tinginys (lazy cake) and it was worth it. L

Huge and busy place. Maybe I should have chosen truly typical Lithuanian potato dumplings, because the Stroganoff I had was below my expectations. Sauce rather thin instead of creamy. The salad had too little dressing and when we asked for vinegar and oil, the waitress said that was not possible.

  • 4/5 Dark S. 5 months ago on Google
I was there a bit late but the food was very delicious. I had to wait a bit between dishes because everything was homemade and I ordered dessert after I finish my main dish 😄. Even tho I ate too much but all in all it's a nice restaurant with very nice waitresses

The underground has this special dungeon design which is incredible! My favourite was cold beetroot soup with potatoes, it's just amazing❤️ I ordered some village pancakes with village cheese and cumin inside, it's interesting but the dough was a bit too dry, so better share this dish or order enough drinks.

Actually one of my favorite places in Vilnius; very convenient location and excellent customer service. Quite the large menu selection and it’s been reliably delicious. Enjoyable with a small group or a solo lunch. Highly recommended! We have tried most of the items on the menu over the years and so far each time it’s been delicious.
