This place never disappoints you. Large choice of beers and cocktail. Large tables and 2 flors available during big events. You could usually watch popular basketball or football games on TV. They also have a projector for big events. Regarding the food, it’s traditional Lithuanian meals. Really tasty and pretty cheap. Count between 7euros to 12 euros for a main dish. One of the best bar in town, and worth having food as well

How to order: find a table, grab a menu, choose your drinks and food. Then go to the bar to order, pay and show them your table. They will give you your drinks and bring the food to your table. Great selection of traditional foods, so many local beers on tap. Our favorite was the pickled cucumber soup. Vegetarian dishes available, they are marked with a green dot (not many, almost everything has meat). I think their prices are very affordable and portions very generous. Food was served very quickly. It’s a pub, so it got very loud after 8pm so it’s better to arrive early if you want to talk not shout at each other :)

A really welcoming place with nice local food, kind and friendly staff, reasonable price. Nice open air place with simple, cozy wooden benches, or unique indoor with nice particular lighting, graffitied in a funny likely way. Different facilities to play and have fun were inside. I ordered a delicious soup of sauerkraut (the staff suggested 👍🏻), and local mashed potatoes with local beer. It was too much for one person also because they bring tge soup with some cooked potatoes. It’s a nice atmosphere with a reasonable price, so why not?! 🤩👌🏻

Amazing beer prices (and quality), really good local food. It definetly worth the visit! The staff is not the friendliest but that’s fine. The vibe of the place is really cool.

A Lithuanian authentic restaurant.. the vibe is really good here. Book a table in advance if you are group. Staff is okay, beers are good and food is tasty. Vegans might have less options but overall a good place to hangout and try some Lithuanian food. Play kicker and drink beers

The most controversial experience I had in Vilnius. On the one hand, I wanted to taste the local cuisine, where local people go, but on the other hand, I did not expect what would come and that it would scare me. Everything tasted great, I like Lithuanian cuisine, it is similar to the eastern European one, but the pork leg served like this scared me, it looked like some kind of human limb, oh! Otherwise, I felt good there and their soups are amazing.

We came here to taste a traditional Lithuanian dishes: Cepelinai (didžkukuliai) and Potato pancakes (Bulviniai blynai). The portions are really big, so I recommend to order meal only one serving (not two, like we did). The dishes are very filling and delicious. Beer is like 🍺, nothing special. The price are reasonable and the whole atmosphere in this establishment was great. Nice place in Vilnius

Solid traditional Lithuanian gastro pub loved by locals. The place has been running for years for a reason. Traditional Lithuanian food is great. Portions are massive - there’s a reason why every meal has full and half options.

Authentic, traditional Lithuanian food in a casual pub setting. Dishes we love (all naturally gluten-free!) - Cold beetroot soup - Sauerkraut soup - Cepelinai (ordered extra of crackling & sour cream) The portions are fairly large and good for sharing. I would recommend going for the small portion if you want to try more dishes. The menu has English translation and photos so it is very convenient.

Well this place definitely reflects the local culture of lithuania, 🇱🇹 . Beer 🍺 selections and dishes are all locals. I would suggest fried dumplings, fried garlic breads, and potato pancakes.

Amazing place. The internet recommended me this place as one where the locals go and it's true. The prices are very reasonable, good location near the city center and main streets and the food is amazing. Also the range of different beers is amazing.

I think that this is one of the best pubs in Vilnius. Central location, friendly staff, great pints of lager/ale/stout @ around 3.50 Euros. Food is hearty and a good price. Can sit outside when weather is ok. Recommended.

Best place in Vilnius! Cool place, nice staff and best food. Also the prices are really cheap compared to the other places in the city. A must try when in town!

Very nice place in Vilnius, lots of beers to choose from and nice atmosphere. Their food is not very good, but that's okay, fried dumplings are very good. The prices are not so low - they have beer from 4 euros for a 1-liter glass for 7 euros, you can order food for 5-8 euros. It's open any time of the week and it's crowded, I recommend it.

If I lived in Vilnius I would eat lunch here often and drink here every week. Superb local dishes and beers. Staff were super friendly and took me through the beers in English as alas I don't speak Lithuanian. Great street in old town to sit outside in. Had the cold beetroot soup and deep fried bread with a mayo. Top class. Thanks so much and please do visit!

In the diverse landscape of Vilnius' pub scene, Pub Šnekutis stands as a genuine testament to local tradition. While it doesn't chase contemporary glamour, it offers an unpretentious and authentic experience. Its impressive beer selection pays homage to its role as a trailblazer, introducing craft beer to Vilnius long before it became the trend. Complementing this is a menu of hearty Lithuanian dishes, served in generous portions. The pub's deep-rooted legacy is evident in its very name, inspired by its owner whose family has been brewing beer for generations. Recollections of him, once behind the bar in his signature hay hat, add a touch of nostalgia. Pub Šnekutis isn't just another drinking spot; it's a chapter in Vilnius' brewing tale, and a must-visit for those seeking an authentic experience.

Cool interior! Best food from the menu must be PEAS! Really surprising dish and probably the best tasty local dish in Vilnius. Highly recommended. Reasonable prices and good choise of beers. Oven baked potatoe dish with pork leg was a bit disappointing. Had only bones in my dish and the potato was plane and tasteless. Portion was huge. Needed a lot more pepper to give the dish at least some taste.. Garbage rolls were too big and the meat inside was also tasteless. Maybe it's Lithuanian way, but we prefer more seasoning and think that it makes a huge difference. Nice surprise was a huge picture in the entrance. Way too good! :D

The potato gratin with pork leg was absolutely disgusting. Even though my best effort I wasn’t able to finish it. This place was highly recommended with 4.5 score on google. However it have turned out to be a great disappointment. This may be a good place to have a drink with friends, because it has a quite interesting atmosphere, but i can’t recommend it as a restaurant. Moreover the staff was very unfriendly and rude. Tra-ge-dia!

Even though this is one of the most famous bars in Vilnius. It actually has a very affordable price range. I managed to try two local dishes for only €6. It also has a massive range of alcohol. It's at atmosphere is great. Long tables. Interestingly it has the old medieval aesthetic, Yet also a very young and hip vibe. As one can see by the flurry of adornments behind the bar. Highly recommended

A nice pub that has a really cool street vibe to it. They also sell good food but their main thing is beers and they do it well. Perfect for a casual meeting with friends

A hidden bar restaurant suffers very delicious food with reasonable price. You won’t be hungry after the meal 😋 And the local beer is tasty too. A nice place for friends get together or lunch break in daily busy life!

Lovely outside area. Great local cuisine menu & choice of fruit-based wine. Service is okay. Plates were beautifully presented. Beware of the pigeons, they tend to sabotage your table! 🥺

Looooove this place ! We returned to Vilnius for the second time mostly because of this wonderful bar. Great atmosphere, great cuisine, nice people ! Pickled cucumber soup and Vilniaus Cider are must tries !

Good pub with nice selection of local craft beers on tap. Good choice in the menu. Probably the best such place in Vilnius, as for me. A pity but the last one from former three pubs of Snekutis in the old town

Toller Ort!

We had the two most traditional dishes and they were very yummy, also very cheap, and a very good local beer with a lemon taste. Thank you

Great Lithuanian food, huge portions and a big selection of beers.

  • 5/5 Michal V. 2 years ago on Google
Very good food experience in the city centre with reasonable prices. Šaltibarščiai starting at 1,5€ for the smaller portion, which actually is normal size for soup if you're ordering also a main dish. At the lunch time they offer a whole meal, which consist of a soup and a main dish, for 5€. The selection of beer is nice with many different types of beer, also craft beers. Prices of beers may be little higher, starting at 3€/0,5l of not the best beer. But considering the perfect location in a quite street of the city centre it is understandable. The WiFi works well inside but also outside in the pub's garden located in front of the pub across the street.

Tasty! I had the smoked pig ears with mustard and it was my favourite 11/10 like the flavour bro salty smoky and just addictive texture , Cepelinai (lovely) , another potato dish filled with meat that i forgot the name (hella tasty) , the cheese curd pancakes (yooo so good) and the sausage (bit dry but the sides are good) And a dark beer. All of it was like 26 euros. Paid with card. The atmosphere is actually calm and relaxed. Went by myself and didn't feel weird. You could also eat at the bar. On the tv was a basketball tournament, around me groups of local lads having a massive beer and fried bread (next time ill try those) everyone seems cool. The guy at the bar with the hat is hip and kind, he even packed away the food i couldn't finish. Yeh ye

We came here for a snack from all the walking. Tried the very Lithuanian fried garlic bread sticks with cheese dip. The savoury snack goes very well with beer. There are many varieties of beer available at this pub. We picked the Milkshake IPA. One small issue was that we were told that the menu prices were outdated (50 cents difference) when ordering at the counter. Pub may look unassuming from outside but it has a great cozy interior.

This restaurant has recommend by a Vilnius student since it has a student price food here! I have eaten a Potato pancakes with meat and it is nice! It is my first time to eat pancake without sweet!

  • 4/5 Paul M. 11 months ago on Google
A really good selection of beers and other drinks. Prices are good for the city and the location is in the old town. A chalkboard has the beers that are available in three sizes. The biggest is a litre, 500 ml and 20. The 500ml was, on average, 4 euros and the 1 lt 7 euros. Overall, it's pretty good but aimed at the tourist! I would not class it as an authentic Lithuanian bar.

Large portions, cheap and tasy. Country side bar vibes with oldtimes interior, so dont expect fancy place. I like 10/10. Had small soup and ribs. Cooked perfect and delicious.

Quite nice place - pub with nice, local menu. You can choose from wide a'la carte local quisine: potatoe pancakes, zeppelins, dumplings and meat. More than 50 kinds of beer (draught and botleed), other kinds of alcohol as well. Nice and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere.

The stout they sell in here is excellent and very reasonably priced. The food is also delicious. I had beetroot soup and the dumplings. Both very tasty and I recommend this place if you are in Vilnius.

👍👍 Great tour in Lithuanian with guide Eva! She was extremely knowledgeable, had great sense of humor and made two hours seem like 15 minutes. I seriously wanted the tour to go on. I have been recommending this tour and this particular guide to all my friends in Vilnius. Best €20 euros spent.

😐 The food is really average and the prices are too much for what you get! If you're a hungry man you may not get full with just a hamburger and one side dish. There is no side or sauces coming with the burgers. You should pay extra for the sides. Onion rings were good and the sweet potato fries was...
