We had a private small room which apparently consisted of the remains from the 16th century. The food is perfect and the atmosphere completely enthralling. The building is steeped in history. You can dine in 16th century vaults below ground and experience each century by dining at the different tables through out. The family that owns Lokys is deeply invested in preserving and continuing the intrinsic culture of Lithuania and Vilnius. This place feels like home. The servers were attentive and it was a joy to be servered by them. There are areas for children to play and it seemed that each person that walked in was welcomed as a relative. And the food? Researched for historical accuracy and ingredients from regional sources blended to give you a taste of the authentic Lithuania. This is the place to eat slow and enjoy the meal for a loooong time. The variety of flavors is astounding. The Caraway Seed Kvass is like nothing else you’ve tasted. Each snack on the appetizer plates was thoughtfully prepared and served. Each different meat dish (boar, beaver, venison, catfish etc) had its own personality, sauces and sides paired exceptionally. We ordered the pork loin with sauerkraut, pickled apples and smashed roasted baby potatoes and the dumpling with boletus filling. The pork was very flavourful and paired well with the sides and the dumplings consisted of finely made pasta filled with finely chopped and utterly delicious porcini goodness. I felt that the portion of the dumplings was a bit small and if I had ordered that, I would have needed to order a soup or a starter. Spiced wine and house red was also very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Unser Wunsch nach weiteren Tischen wurde sehr ungnädig aufgenommen. Das Essen war landestypisch und bis auf den Nachtisch gut. Mir hat das dunkle Bier geschmeckt. Allerdings finde ich 6 Euro für 500 ml Apfelschorle völlig überteuert. Der Hauswein hat nach Essig geschmeckt.

Food and service great as always ☺️ It was nice to find a menu in Italian (and even the hostess spoke the language). Will be back again surely!

Amazing place to dine in, great feels for history throwback with decent menu for both food and wine that doesn’t cost an arm and leg!

I really enjoyed Lokys. Both food and service were good. The beaver stew is recommanded!

The best ceppelins, amazing chlodnik and perfect herring in a suite. All of this in medieval cellar...

If you have to choose just one place to eat Lithuanian food, this should be it. Beautiful place, fancy feel, friendly service and top quality food. Superb!

Supposed oldest restaurant in Vilnius. Indoor and outdoor seating in summer serving authentic Lithuanian cuisine. Interesting part of menu is special game cuts like wild boar and beaver.

Staff was super friendly and informative. We ended up having the boar and the venison. Both amazing, the reataurant is slight more expensive then the neighbouring restaurants but definately worth it. Will return for sure

The staff was extremely friendly and caring, but the options for vegetarians are slim. Only one meal available. Furthermore, seafood dishes in the menu are marked as vegetarian.

Delicious food, based on medieval Lithuanian receipts, tasty local fruit wine, excellent service.

One of my favorite places to eat in Vilnius. One of the oldest restaurants in authentic merchant House. Amazing cozy atmosphere. You can book a table upfront. I tried deer steak before and last night I took mushroom soup and wild boar steak. The soup was full of flavor as well as the steak. Perfectly cooked. Tasty pears and potatoes crockets. Portions are big. We took patte starters but we were 5 people and we were advised to take one starter each which was too much for us. Still Recommend !!! They also pack the food to take home if you can't finish:)

Nice restaurant in Vilnius, cozy atmosphere and good food. Lot of game on the menu and the whine list seems endless. The Lithuanian beer was good.

Great food and very cozy place. The waiters a bit too introverted for my taste but still a great experience!

Good atmosphere. I enjoyed the duck. Vegans in our party had the dumplings and liked them. Not unreasonably expensive.

The waiter pushed hard for the most expensive dish - a combo of wild game meat. They all looked and tasted identical. I’m pretty sure it was all beef. And the sauce looked and tasted like ketchup. The “seasonal vegetable” plate was 90% lettuce and a few berries. The only vegetable I could find was a couple slices of radish. Fast service but disappointing food, esp for the price.

Ideal place for The Office fans, who should play their “that’s what she said” joke when a beaver dish is mentioned. On a serious note - Venison Tartare is delicious - I’ll definitely come back to have that again, however I was disappointed with the mix of game meat I had, as venison roast was overcooked and boar was also pretty dry. The game sausage was excellent.

Adding to my 3 star review per the venue's request. Both of my orders came at a near cold temperature. This wouldn't happen if it wasn't either 1) sitting and waiting for other guests orders from our table still not completed, and/or 2) the items were previously made, stocked and poorly reheated. Based on the appearance of the establishment, the pricing and menu selection, I expected a meal not requiring it to be sent back and "reheated". Dining out should nor require watching others eat (and accept a rather tepid temperature of food items) and instead I send my back to get a hot meal. The flavor was there but the overall experience was average at best.

This restaurant serves a variety of wild animals. Tried the venison tartar and beaver stew. Would definitely recommend the venison tartar. Beaver stew was good, but tartar was better. Staffs were professional and polite. Elegant interior. Probably one of the best restaurants in Vilnius old town.
