Very old traditional restaurant. They have very specific dishes to try out, for example beaver. The service is elegant and on point. Appetizer on the house. Prices are slightly above mid, but it is not an expensive restaurant in the proper sense. The building is beautiful, pleasant courtyard as well.

We were looking for a particular experience: We had just visited the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and wanted to try some traditional Lithuanian food. Our hotel recommended Lokys, and it was perfect. We felt like we were transported back to the 15th century. It was great fun to see the famous names on the menu that we just learned about at the museum. There were a lot of things on the menu I wouldn't usually order; a lot of game for example. But all of it was very tasty! We recommend any of the soups (appetizer) and the boar and catfish were delicious (mains). Great, fast service as well! Don't forget to try out some of the Lithuanian beers!

Had a wonderful experience! We tasted many very old recipes that were popular during the times of Duke's and kings in Lithuania! Everything tasted excellent, and very unique! If you see unusual items on the menu, that is exactly what you should order...trust me! The service and atmosphere were excellent!

What an experience! The food, the 15th century basement, the service, it was all just lovely. The beer platter, venison tartar, the zeppelins and the beaver stew are out of this world!

Had an excellent dining experience at Lokys, we visited with friends and tried some traditional Lithuanian food which tasted great. We sat in the garden on a sunny day and there was plenty of choice of seating for people who would prefer shade. The service was prompt and the staff spoke good English. All in all a pleasent experience was had and would recommend.

Wonderful experience right from the start. The restaurant has some outside tables too but the ones in the dungeons were absolutely phenomenal. We had a private small room which apparently consisted of the remains from the 16th century. Food (and fitting wine choice) was outstanding - very original but also traditional and local at the same time. We were absolutely blown away by the whole experience and would love to come back one day again :)

A great place with a lot of history, that reflects in their menu. The bever stew was to die for, their venison and boar-dish was awesome and desserts are local and original. Service with a smile, and a very nice location. This is the GO TO place when in Vilnius if you want to eat local and qualitiy food.

My wife and I returned to Lithuania for a month to visit her family and had the pleasure of dinning at Lokys the night before we travelled home. The food is perfect and the atmosphere completely enthralling. The building is steeped in history. You can dine in 16th century vaults below ground and experience each century by dining at the different tables through out. The family that owns Lokys is deeply invested in preserving and continuing the intrinsic culture of Lithuania and Vilnius. This place feels like home. The servers were attentive and it was a joy to be servered by them. There are areas for children to play and it seemed that each person that walked in was welcomed as a relative. And the food? Researched for historical accuracy and ingredients from regional sources blended to give you a taste of the authentic Lithuania. This is the place to eat slow and enjoy the meal for a loooong time. The variety of flavors is astounding. The Caraway Seed Kvass is like nothing else you’ve tasted. Each snack on the appetizer plates was thoughtfully prepared and served. Each different meat dish (boar, beaver, venison, catfish etc) had its own personality, sauces and sides paired exceptionally. And of course a fantastic unique dessert made from rye bread… what else would you expect from Lithuania! It was a pure joy to spend time in the thoughtfully composed world of Lokys. Our family will be back again to share in the centuries old tradition being kept alive in the heart of Vilnius Ordered and enjoyed the: bread + bread + bread Caraway seed kvass Wine snack appetizer Beer snack appetizer Boletus soup Wild boar plate Catfish plate Rye bread delicacy dessert

You could walk past this historic eating establishment without even noticing. Please "hunt" it out you won't regret it. with some of the best and most traditional wild game meats and stews available in the area you will have what I would call a heritage experience. Dont be afraid, thinking game meats are not for you. The wild boar stew is amazing and I mean amazing. The best meal I had in Vilnius. I like my food cooked and plenty of it. Wild boar with pears and deep fried potatoes that looked like little mushrooms. FANTASTIC........ Beautiful local beers to compliment a menu that takes you back to a time when Lithuania aristocracy expected the best game from the kitchen. Not sure how to explain that you need a sauce with beef but with venison or wild boar the meat carries a flavour that's gentle, succulent and flavoursome and this chefs culinary pairings if fruit and berries is an experience. Please try it you won't regret it.

This is a true experience restaurant where you could learn what Lithuanian people use to eat in XV century as restaurant based a menu of Lithuanian archives and done the properly researches. The staff is excellent as they took us through all it and I have tasted a sweets which is made from baby scones... The experience is in another level.. Also this is more than 50 years family own restaurant so you would have an amazing experience.

Very friendly service. Interesting menu items. They try to bring alive medieval dishes. So they are items like "Boar meat loaf praised by Grand Duke Gediminas". The atmosphere is very nice: the perfect place if you appreciate a quite environment. The antipasto platter with game cuts and cheeses and tasty crackers was good.

The food was delicious and their Lithuanian cuisine that we ordered were mouth watering taste 😃 It’s our first time travel in this country but it was full of Amazing memories with the country’s great yummy foods to offer. It has a really wide spaces garden, indoor, hallway, and underwater dining area that is another new experience for us. The people are kind and helpful. The price was just right and even cheaper compared with what you got.😉 Thank you. Lithuania 🇱🇹

we spent a bit more as 100 Euros for two people which was mostly related to the wine but all in all the food and wine was absolutely worth its price and we had an absolutely great waiter. Honest and really funny. So we had fun and enjoyed our dinner very much. One highlight too: the 75% schnaps for desert.

Tasty food! Someone says price is a little bit high, but definitely worth it! Some staff seemed a bit cold, but others are so friendly! In the end of the meal, they gave me a kind of alcohol shot for free but I don't know what it is. It tasted nice though!

(Translated by Google) Very good restaurant located in the city center within walking distance of the main attractions and the best hotels. One of the best restaurants in town, tasty and unambiguously correct and local. The restaurant is much better quality and more interesting than the pathetic attempts of local officials to copy Italian or French restaurants. I highly recommend it to everyone. Smartly dressed tables in a tastefully decorated room. Great place for a romantic date and also for a cozy dinner with friends. The bread basket contains dark rye bread, crusty bread rolls and bread sticks. All are delicious but served at room temperature not warmed. The herbed butter was very mild and I preferred dipping my breads in olive oil. The olive oil they provided (upon request) was very good quality. We ordered the pork loin with sauerkraut, pickled apples and smashed roasted baby potatoes and the dumpling with boletus filling. The pork was very flavourful and paired well with the sides and the dumplings consisted of finely made pasta filled with finely chopped and utterly delicious porcini goodness. I felt that the portion of the dumplings was a bit small and if I had ordered that, I would have needed to order a soup or a starter. Spiced wine and house red was also very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Nice solid restaurant, service is fast and very well organised. Lokys House Regale plate tasted good, game sausages were exceptional. Rye bread dessert less memorable but I appreciated the pairing with a dessert wine (good deal at 11 euros together). Basket of complimentary bread provided; service charge is not included so bring change

Beautiful place in Vilnius old town. It was my second time in this restaurant, but sadly it wasn’t such good as first one. Service was good and professional, atmosphere was cozy. Food was also great, but not worth such high price: doe steak was tasty and juicy, however roasted boar was a little bit dry and rubbery. From deserts we tried salted caramel and nuts tart and cheesecake, but it also wasn’t best deserts what we tried. Actually, despite the high prices,I would like to back there for a third time to try another dishes, because menu is really authentic and unique.

Had a great dinner of 700th Vilnius Birthday tasting menu experience! Myself and my other guests were delighted with variety of food we have received throughout dinner. The server was very carrying, introduced well to the dishes, kept eye on drinks and even brought us blankets (we sat outside and at some point it started raining). The highlight of the dishes would be our main dish choice - the boar steak with cooked pears and potato croquettes. If you are looking for experience to understand authentic cuisine of Vilnius within earlier times it is a great choice. It is more expensive choice however you would get chance to try something more unexpected compared to other national food restaurants.

Great way to experience rustic Baltic cuisine!! The service is out of this world amazing and the atmosphere is quaint but high class. The food was some of the best food we have had the entire time in the Baltics!! We could've eaten the beaver stew every day for dinner - it was divine! And make sure to finish the meal with the spiced restaurant wine and nut tart!

A very interesting restaurant with loads of old world feels. There are street level tables but I was lead to a table below street level with bricks for walls and interesting decorations. The food is very good here including presentation. I enjoyed their rhubarb sparking wine very much in addition to the 4-course meal. Service was also very good. Great for single, double and group diners.

We ordered crayfish soup for appetizer it was okay, not so special. For the main course, we ordered duck confetti and game sausage, it was okay there's no wow factor it was little bit blunt. You will get a much tastier food in other restaurants for the same price. Their house wine was good. Service was okay at the beginning but the moment i finished eating they immediately took my plate while my husband was still eating, i think thats just rude. The restaurant itself is nice. If you want to eat a Lithuanian food for the sake of experience, you can go to this restaurant. But if you want much tastier local food, i would recommend to find something else.

Right in the middle of Vilnius Old Town, this restaurant has an interesting menu mainly based on wild game. You can seat in one of the two vaulted rooms, or outdoor in their courtyard. Dishes are well prepared by a knowledgeable kitchen Staff and presented in a traditional way. Despite being in a very touristy spot, prices are correct: expect to spend some 25 EUR for a two course meal washed down by a 0,50 beer. Service is attentive and super-fast. To sum up: if you're looking for solid meaty fares at reasonable prices, this is the right place for you.

The ambience is meant to be medieval Lithuanian, and it pulls it off relatively well with a very gamey menu. I had the mushroom salad presented in a lettuce leaf, and shared the beaver meat stew and veal and boar plate with two others. The portions are generous, and the food is quite tasty, albeit a bit salty to my liking. Also enjoyed the gooseberry wine, which is like a sweet dessert wine. Service was good but got a bit slow towards the late evening. Total price for the meal and drink was about €26.

(Translated by Google) The pandemic that has swept the world has played into our hands. Thanks to her, my wife and I were able to visit the beautiful city of Vilnius. Walking along the streets of the old town, we went to drink some good beer, which is in abundance in Lithuania and in the Lokys restaurant in particular. Frankly, we really liked this place, and when leaving, we were invited by the waiter Rastaya, it seems that was her name, to have dinner. And in the evening, of course, we were at the table in this cozy establishment. Roe deer, divinely, melts in the mouth, the tode hog is good! Thank you for the pleasant memories! Special thanks to Rastaya, may she forgive me if she made a mistake in the spelling of the name.)) I advise you to visit this lovely janitor! And yes, don't forget to ask how in Lithuanian six hundred and sixty-six😂! All health! Respect to the staff! Prosperity restaurant! Tourists from Tallinn. I ordered well done steak but I got it half done, which was annoying for me. The restaurant located in a really nice and touristy spot. They served some good bread with the food. There are different seating area, indoors, courtyard and outdoors in the alley.

(Translated by Google) We had reserved there as a 17-person tour group. Although the bar was hardly visited, the ten of us were supposed to be crammed together at a table, which was only possible in close contact with the table neighbors. Our request for more tables was very ungracious. The food was typical of the country and good except for the dessert. I liked the dark beer. However, I think 6 euros for 500 ml apple spritzer is completely overpriced. The house wine tasted like vinegar.

Food and service great as always ☺️ It was nice to find a menu in Italian (and even the hostess spoke the language). Will be back again surely!

If you have to choose just one place to eat Lithuanian food, this should be it. Beautiful place, fancy feel, friendly service and top quality food. Superb!

Supposed oldest restaurant in Vilnius. Indoor and outdoor seating in summer serving authentic Lithuanian cuisine. Interesting part of menu is special game cuts like wild boar and beaver.

Staff was super friendly and informative. We ended up having the boar and the venison. Both amazing, the reataurant is slight more expensive then the neighbouring restaurants but definately worth it. Will return for sure

The staff was extremely friendly and caring, but the options for vegetarians are slim. Only one meal available. Furthermore, seafood dishes in the menu are marked as vegetarian.

One of my favorite places to eat in Vilnius. One of the oldest restaurants in authentic merchant House. Amazing cozy atmosphere. You can book a table upfront. I tried deer steak before and last night I took mushroom soup and wild boar steak. The soup was full of flavor as well as the steak. Perfectly cooked. Tasty pears and potatoes crockets. Portions are big. We took patte starters but we were 5 people and we were advised to take one starter each which was too much for us. Still Recommend !!! They also pack the food to take home if you can't finish:)

Nice restaurant in Vilnius, cozy atmosphere and good food. Lot of game on the menu and the whine list seems endless. The Lithuanian beer was good.

Good atmosphere. I enjoyed the duck. Vegans in our party had the dumplings and liked them. Not unreasonably expensive.

The waiter pushed hard for the most expensive dish - a combo of wild game meat. They all looked and tasted identical. I’m pretty sure it was all beef. And the sauce looked and tasted like ketchup. The “seasonal vegetable” plate was 90% lettuce and a few berries. The only vegetable I could find was a couple slices of radish. Fast service but disappointing food, esp for the price.

Ideal place for The Office fans, who should play their “that’s what she said” joke when a beaver dish is mentioned. On a serious note - Venison Tartare is delicious - I’ll definitely come back to have that again, however I was disappointed with the mix of game meat I had, as venison roast was overcooked and boar was also pretty dry. The game sausage was excellent.

Adding to my 3 star review per the venue's request. Both of my orders came at a near cold temperature. This wouldn't happen if it wasn't either 1) sitting and waiting for other guests orders from our table still not completed, and/or 2) the items were previously made, stocked and poorly reheated. Based on the appearance of the establishment, the pricing and menu selection, I expected a meal not requiring it to be sent back and "reheated". Dining out should nor require watching others eat (and accept a rather tepid temperature of food items) and instead I send my back to get a hot meal. The flavor was there but the overall experience was average at best.

This restaurant serves a variety of wild animals. Tried the venison tartar and beaver stew. Would definitely recommend the venison tartar. Beaver stew was good, but tartar was better. Staffs were professional and polite. Elegant interior. Probably one of the best restaurants in Vilnius old town.

😐 The staff was not friendly and seemed very unprofessional. I had to wait for at least 20 minutes before I placed my order, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Had to draw attention to myself to finally place an order. The food was mediocre, not worth the money. It was not served as described...
