Local foods and a nice building! Great for checking Lithuania typical food culture and a lot of stores surrounding it to buy clothes and other stuff. Nice visit and nice salty pickles

You can find various foods and clothings here. There are some good bakery, coffee shop, and asian shop too. Very nice for backpacker to buy some food to cook at the hostel for cheap.

Used to be a great farmer soviet style market place around 10 years ago but now is just half empty / closed shops and the rest not so fresh, high price and over rated . A place that locals don’t shop much but tourists hang around to feel the soviet style markets.

An indoor meat, fish, and vegetable market selling fresh goods. There a number of restaurants and cafes lining the perimeter of the building, and some nice artwork outside

Love going to local markets where locals shop for daily necessities. It is amazing that this markets looks exactly like the local markets in Beijing which have all recently been torn down. The sections selling clothes and shoes and household goods looks the same. There are many little street food type shops (but with seats) to have a snack or breakfast or just a light lunch. Lots and lots of food, sausages, fruit, honey, vegetables and a bakery with a tasty kibinai.

Surprise nice. Quite beautiful from the outside and there are a number of restaurants, coffee shops and other shops which is nice. There is a butcher section in the back which is useful, but not nearly as attractive.

Viele Stände sind leer, das Angebot jetzt nicht so groß und vielfältig, wie wir es aus anderen Ländern kennen

This afternoon i visited the Hall Market. The building is beautiful and can be reached by bus. Road side parking is also available. I arrived at around 4:00 pm and the market was kind of empty! Most shops were closed and a countable number of customers were inside. Primarily I was looking for fresh vegetables and I was disappointed. Didn't find anything to mention apart from Chilli (red spicy). Primarily i found lots of shops with meat, selling pork and other kinds of meat, i didn't find chicken, beer and wine stores, dry fruits stores, shoe stores, clothes shops and fish stores. And I found Indian spices, MDH brand.

The produce was excellent here. Bought some local mushrooms, many vegetables and much pork! The pork stalls are incredible and truly boast regional produce. Incredible quality and flavour. The guy in the middle speaks English and was amazing with me. Had my meats shrink wrapped for the flight home. Some superb looking seasonal fruits were on offer too. 👌

Halles Turgis is our go-to Farmers Market with lots of great offerings of fresh products. We go there for meats, vegetables, bagels, and fruit. Parking on the unkept side street is always challenging. Market vendors are friendly and appreciative

A visit to a city is never complete without a quick stop at the food market. I can’t say this was the most impressive market I’ve been to and I was quite bummed out that dogs were not allowed (after the tourist info we got surprisingly told us our little fur baby could come in with us). So one by one we went in for a quick spin of the stalls. We were really drawn to this place by Bagelistai, a Jewish bagel shop. We are originally from Montreal where the best bagels can be found and truly miss them since living in Europe. These were good although not quite like home.

Huge market with various products. Fresh meat, cheese, vegetable, clothes, and so on. The toilet us right at the end of the left wing (0.5€)

A wonderful big market with a different varieties of authentic products and full of warm hearted people, highly recommended to buy from there . Vegetables and fruits are more tastier than big market and fresh, as well as they have a huge different types of species Authentic Lithuanian sweets can be found there. As well as there is a pharmacy inside in case if you need a medicine. From a foreigner point of view this place must be visited

Toller authentischer Ort! Man sollte aber auch die unmittelbare Umgebung mit anschauen. Es gibt tolle lokale Produkte zu fairen Preisen!

Superb local food market with excellent produce. There are two ladies on the left hand side of the main entrance, blending the most exotic of ingredients into ridiculously good smoothies. Excellent coffee shop/bakery inside.

The market is a bit of a mix of everything. The interior space is not used to full potential. Still, there are few choices to eat, to shop for groceries and delicacies. The fruit and vegetable sellers were outside. Cured meats kept without refrigeration in summer.

Some great coffee shops and street food along side between wonderful authentic markets

Small traditional fresh market. When I visited it felt more like pork and meat heaven. Definitely worth for grocery shopping and just window shopping to see local meat produce if you're just visiting. I wish I had kitchen in my hotel, could have bought something else than just pork jerky.

Oh how I loved this market and I am so sad I didn’t get the honey I wanted to buy. Beautiful and clean market. A must visit if you’re ever in Vilnius Lovely people and very welcoming. Had breakfast here and if I’m ever in Vilnius I would definitely go here for honey.

A decent size marketplace near the city center, different kind of daily need, especially food and groceries are there, also some desert. There is also a clothes market right beside this place. Both places are open on Sundays, can be a good place to go for urgent need of warm clothes if you didnt bring during the semi cold seasons.

Best place to get an overview of local fruits and food. Very friendly and a huge selection. Not many tourists. Most speak very well English.

Hales market is one of the largest and oldest markets in Vilnius. It was constructed in 1906 by a famous architect and engineer Vaclovas Michnevicius. Located in the Old town, the Marketplace has always been popular among the townspeople and its guests for its locally grown and very fresh produce as well as for the home manufactured goods. Since 2002 Hales market has been managed by Tugva UAB. In 2006 the reconstruction of the hundred year old central building was completed and since then Hales market has become an 8,400 square meter indoor marketplace where a great variety of fresh and smoked meat, fish, diary products, organic fruit and vegetables, honey, home manufactured and industrial goods are offered under one roof. The Marketplace has its own shop for butchery which operates under veterinary care. There is also a convenient parking area for 150 cars and a cozy cafe with 60 seats. As a popular retailer Hales market offers exceptional service for its customers and is a good place for a traveler to sample and take away local foods, and learn about the local culture.

This is a nice market with a good variety of both food and non-food. Do recommend going when it is not that crowded though because the aisles are not that big.

Small market but very cute. Located next to the train station here you can buy everything you need, from fresh fish to meat, eggs, vegetables, dry fruits, nuts... There are also few restaurants inside. Some of them offer also Lithuanian food. The prices are good. Worth a visit 😉

I visited the market to get an idea of the local cuisine. It appeared to have great produce (meat, fish and vegetables) at reasonable prices. It also has plenty of places to have something to eat or drink.

Nice mix of markets first one is more trendy products, then you have standard markets stuff on the left, and deep i. There you will find some copy of clothes/shoes as well as the meat and fish part.

A very fun and lively market! The smell of pickles fresh fruit and veg fills the air! Great for quality food or a quick stop for a drink and bite to eat. Also a great selection of meats from the counter and clothing stores ☺️

Ended up here by accident, due to a storm that came out of nowhere. Ended up having a burger which was out of this world. The meat was fresh, the patties were clearly homemade and the burger had the most wonderful sauce and fresh ingredients which enabled it to pack a pretty decent punch on the old taste buds.

I have bought a lot of the bees products for a good price. The old lady was very charming and speaking German and polish and tried to speak with me also English. Such a sweet woman. But I have arrived around 14 o'clock. There was half empty hall. I was coming simply late 😅

The local flee market its in the upper town near to dawn gate, to old Town. You can taste local flavors and shop. In the night it turns into a party place with some clubs.

It serves not only as one of the oldest markets in Vilnius but also as a food court and a bar or even a place to dance in the evening. For all japanese food lovers Bistro Chaosai is definitely a place worth visiting!

Cool indoor market, lot of local food - there is a lot of meat, meat products, dried fruit, pickled everything :D, but also a beer and burger place, and a few places with meals. There's lovely bakery, their pastries are really good!
