Well now it is a museum. Very unusual museum. It’s like an ancient cathedral in the medieval centuries. Looks really great. It open and you get in for free. Very unusual experience. If you’ll be in Vilnius - must visit this place.

A truly unique space. This 18th-century baroque church was converted into a vegetable warehouse in the 1960s. The resulting brutalist concrete interior makes it a perfect arts space. Don't miss the low vaulted arches of the crypt!

Typical Lithuania church with a bare interior; still really interesting understanding the history and a fantastic pancake restaurant. It was a very atmospheric setting.

Almost 300 year old church ⛪, to be frank it was scary to step inside, it needs renovation badly... But till that moment you can try to feel what happened to him over centuries :)

Durch den Umbau zum Lagerraum wurde zu Sowjetzeiten der Charakter der Kirche durch Betonpfeiler und zwei im Hauptschiff eingezogene Zwischendecken völlig zerstört. Bis Dezember 2018 stand sie leer und dem Verfall preisgegeben, jetzt ist das Dach repariert und es gibt wieder eine zahlreiche Gemeinde, die sich um die Instandsetzung bemüht. Führungen durch alle Stockwerke und die Kellerräume finden immer Donnerstags statt. Wir kamen an einem Freitag, als eigentlich geschlossen war. Eine sehr freundliche ehrenamtliche Mitarbeiterin, die an diesem Tag für eine Hochzeit und eine Taufe anwesend war, hat trotzdem die Kirche geöffnet, uns sehr viel zum Schicksal des Gotteshauses erzählt und uns noch zum Kaffee eingeladen. Es ist ein Erlebnis der besonderen Art, schwer in Worte zu fassen. Geht hin und seht's Euch an.
