Totally worth the entrance fee! The view from the top of the tower is amazing and each floor on the way is like a small museum. Make sure to wait for the full hour to listen to the bells ringing (they also ring every quarter hour).

Really nice view, a lot of steps, but the view iš worth the price. Also I would recommend going on a sunny day.

The tower is a landmark of Vilnius. It is located next to the cathedral and almost at the center of the old town. I’ve visited the tower during Christmas time. There was a decorated Christmas tree next to the tower. Unfortunately, tower is inaccessible to people with walking disability. Entrance fee was 6 euros. There are souvenirs available inside the tower. I have added the video of climbing up the tower through the narrow stairs and view from the top of the tower. Takes about 5 minutes to climb up. The bells of the tower ring hourly; so if you want to see the bells ring up close, try to visit near the top of the hour. Be careful if you don’t want to hurt your ears, cover them up with something, but it’ll be probably ok for most of the people for a short period of time. Bells rang for a couple of times when there was 15 minutes to the top of the hour, and rang for about 5 minutes or so on the top of the hour. Would suggest you visit if you’re at Vilnius.

The bell tower offers a great 360 degrees observation deck for the Cathedral area. The visit begins with a short video explaining a brief history of the place and then continues by climbing a few sets of wooden stairs leading to the bells at the top. The entry fee is 6€.

A historic landmark offering panoramic views of Vilnius' Old Town. Steeped in centuries of history, the Bell Tower stands as a testament to the city's architectural prowess. Climb the spiraling stairs for a rewarding vista and immerse yourself in Lithuania's rich heritage. A must-visit when in Vilnius.

The Bell Tower is right in front of the Vilnius Cathedral. It’s beautiful and historical. It’s a famous landmark and makes a stunning background for selfies. There’s a museum inside the Vilnius Bell Tower. We went inside to see this historical site. I was impressed of it’s history and the museum display, as well as the old clock there. We climbed up the tower with its old narrow wooden stairs. Nice view from above. We paid €6 per adult.

On the first two floors, there’s a small museum about the history of the bell tower (texts to read, some audio), then you climb further up to the bell level and above, where the clockwork resides. On this top floor, you’ll have a phenomenal view onto the city in four directions (albeit a bit diminished by the fact that it’s mostly obstructed by iron grids). There are a few things to consider: be aware of the stairs! The stairs to the museum floors, while made of stone, are very wonky and narrow, and the ceiling is rather low. The climb into the bell and clock section of the tower consists of very wonky, steep and narrow wooden stairs. This is definitely not for people with vertigo or other spatial issues. The bell tower is also operational: the bells on the clockwork floor will ring at every quarter hour and the larger ones might ring as well (e.g. at 17:00 for mass), which can be very loud if you happen to be there at those times.

It's always cool to walk up these old towers, both for the climb and the view. The top of the tower is not wide open, so you do not get a free 360-degree view of the city, but it's still a sight to behold. Also, the bells in the tower are still in use, so watch your ears.

Must see if visiting Vilnius for the first time! We were lucky so there was no waiting time and we went up straight away. Tickets are 5 euro per person and 3 is you are a student. Climbing a lot of stairs was worth it because the view from the top is incredible! Highly recommend!

A view that will dominate any visit to Vilnius. Beautiful structure in front of the cathedral. Took the trip up. Was met by an incredibly friendly and informative member of staff. Interesting to see all the bells and then to listen to their relaxing chimes. Great views of Vilnius city when you reach the top. As ever with old buildings if you're the same height as me, watch your head!!

The ticket was nothing much. As I remember, it was like €2. Centered in the Central Square. Pretty at night with lights. Very historical view and it was pretty aged monument.

This tower is the perfect little museum for a tower climbing enthusiast/history fan. For just a tower it actually has quite a big museum with a lot of interesting historical facts about the tower and its surroundings. The view from the top is very nice and every 15 minutes 1 or 2 bells will ring. you can even ring a bell by yourself within the museum.

If you’re a history nerd and/or you love exploring new places, I definitely recommend that you check out the bell tower. There’s a lot of history related to the tower and the city, which makes the old bells and the figures on top of the church all the more precious. Also, if you’re scared of heights, you might want to reconsider😬 climbing up to the top of the tower is alright, but coming down you have to be careful because it’s quite steep.

It gives you a great view of Vilnius especially the surrounding areas. Totally worth my visit but was also daring and scary 😟 as most part of the stairs are made of wood and looks untrusted lol. It’s a real adventure 🤣 You have to use the stairs, not suitable for children, not wheelchair accessible, not suitable of those who are scared of height. I went up alone and trust me I was scared the whole time especially when I looked down 🤣. I did it anyways.

Loved it!! Although I advise that you don't go when it's busy, and be ready for the loud bells to go off, and a lot of narrow stairs. Nice view, but the main coolest part is seeing the mechanism and the bells themselves. It's perfect if this is your kind of attraction, and it's in a nice location....

  • 3/5 Fabrizio O. 1 year ago on Google
OK attraction, good panorama on the top through small windows (caution, wooden stairs are rather steep). In the basement a short video, also suitable for kids, gives the historic background to visitors. Lovely young lady speaking an excellent English at the ticket desk, better pay by card on off-peak times or bring the right amount.

Amazing place to visit. Clock calibre is authentic and incredible. Top floor of tower is well safeguarded so even those afraid of height will feel safe. Children will find it interesting too, I climbed with 4 year old and she wants to return back:)

Easily my favorite tourist attraction in Vilnius! Entrance is included with the Vilnius City Card and the interior is stunning - wooden logs, several bells, and lots of narrow staircases. The views from the top are an added bonus!

(Translated by Google) The Bell Tower of Vilnius Cathedral, a division of the Museum of Ecclesiastical Heritage, is something VHAUUU 😎 And there are wonderful people working there who will helpfully explain everything to you and help you to experience unique feelings 😎 And they organize excursions around the dungeons of Vilnius Cathedral. Well, the price is 12 EUR, but it is definitely worth trying the "Extreme Route of Vilnius Cathedral Underground". Get ready for the great story of guide Alina Pavasarytė and get ready to walk deep underground. I do not recommend only for very fat, very tall people. Because you will need to crawl through narrow passages, crawl through narrow openings, hit the ceiling with a helpful helmet (then understand who needs a helmet), stick to a slightly smelly mud. But it's totally worth experiencing what you can then tell your friends and acquaintances by calmly washing your clothes and putting your clothes in the washing machine (if you haven't used the disposable suit provided) 😜 😘😘😘😘 Lots of everything but worth it. And yet when organ music is heard somewhere high above the ground, and you are deep under the cathedral floor ... (Original) Bažnytinio paveldo muziejaus padalinys Vilniaus katedros varpinė yra kažkas VHAUUU 😎 Ir dirba ten nuostabūs žmonės, kurie paslaugiai jums viską paaiškins ir padės patirti nepakartojamus pojūčius 😎 Ir dar jie organizuoja ekskursijas po Vilniaus katedros požemius. Na, kaina 12 EUR, bet be abejonės verta išbandyti "Ekstremalų Vilniaus katedros požemių maršrutą".

(Translated by Google) The St. Stanislaus and St. Ladislaus Cathedral in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius is located below the castle hill on Cathedral Square. The church in today's view was completed in 1801. Remains of the first church building from the 13th century have been found during excavations. As with many other churches in the Baltic States, the church tower is separate. you can go up in it and have a beautiful view of the old town. Wie bei vielen anderen Kirchen im Baltikum steht der Kirchturm separat. man kann in ihm hoch und hat einen schönen Blick auf die Altstadt.

Climbing up the steep high steps and the open wooden stairs is a real test. If you are afraid of heights or turning heads, it should be hard ...... The bell muse for hours when I was on top.
