Great place to visit with family. The castle tour is interesting while the nature views are astonishing. Short ship cruise around the lake is a must.

Must visit place in Vilnius. Scenic castle, with a nice bridge connecting it to the mainland. Boat services are also available. It takes 45 minutes to reach by bus from Vilnius central bus station. Overall 2 buses : One bus to reach Trakai bus station from Vilnius bus station, and a bus from Trakai bus station to the castle. Most people go there for good pics and a nice time. So very few paid to enter the castle. People can walk around the castle for free, and can sit in front of the beautiful lake to chill.

Not only located in the middle of the island on Trakai forming a picturesque view for trakai, one can learn the history and admire the preservation of such historical castle by Lithuanian.

The castle is really picturesque, the expositions are rich, with lots of interesting stuff. There are some interactive things to. But the most impressive thing is the nature: the lakes and forests around.

(Translated by Google) It is beautiful but a lot of walking on uneven stones and stairs. Only the courtyard is wheelchair accessible. Tickets are expensive too. Nice toilet in the ticket price. (Original) Jest pięknie ale dużo chodzenia po nierównych kamieniach i schodów. Tylko dziedziniec jest przystosowany dla niepełnosprawnych. Bilety też drogie. Ładna toaleta w cenie biletu.

Amazing location for sightseeing, swimming and/or picnic in summer. Rent a waterbike or paddle board and explore the islets, taste local 'kibinas'. Castle visit is optional, nothing really interesting inside.

I live here so you can trust me. The peninsula castle is underrated. There’s a museum this one is not that interesting. This castle is basically a ruin but it’s a fun hang out spot. And there’s a hill to have picnics . The island castle is more popular. The museum there is more interesting and this castle ain’t a ruin but there’s always a lot of tourists there so u prob won’t take your pic.

Another place in Lithuania that is totally worth a visit. Most of it was damaged during different wars, it has been reconstructed to give us an idea of it's splendour.
