First
impressions:
modest
little
hole-in-the-wall
restaurant,
there
was
a
huge
puddle
of
water
on
the
floor
next
to
the
bins
when
I
walked
in,
the
one
young
girl
working
there
who
could
speak
English
was
rather
blunt
and
a
bit
rude
when
it
came
to
service.
When
I
ordered
an
item
by
its
name,
she
just
said
to
me
abruptly
“Order
by
the
number,
not
the
name”.
So
I
just
replied
with
“Oh,
alright
then”.
Then
my
order
took
about
35
minutes
in
total
to
come
out,
despite
there
only
being
a
couple
of
others
in
the
restaurant
at
the
time,
some
of
which
were
already
eating.
But
what
pissed
me
off
the
most
was
the
fact
that
I
ordered
a
set
of
California
sushi
rolls
and
instead
of
there
being
imitation
crab
meat
with
mayonnaise
like
there’s
supposed
to
be,
they
had
cream
cheese
with
one
little
tiny
centimetre
of
prawn
(or
shrimp
for
you
yanks)
in
each.
Then
when
my
other
dish
finally
came
out,
I
politely
asked
the
English-speaking
waitress
who
served
me
to
please
inform
the
chef
that
California
rolls
are
not
supposed
to
have
cream
cheese.
And
she
simply
replied
with
“I’m
not
the
one
cooking
the
food,
I
just
serve
it”.
To
which
I
just
felt
like
saying
“Well
no
shit
you’re
not
the
cooking.
But
could
you
please
tell
the
cook
anyway?”
I
didn’t
say
that,
I
just
told
her
that
California
rolls
weren’t
supposed
to
have
cream
cheese,
to
which
she
then
just
responded
with
the
👍🏼
hand
gesture.
And
when
I
tried
to
give
her
my
empty
disposable
plate
from
my
starter
(the
California
rolls),
she
just
told
me
to
throw
it
in
the
bin
when
I
was
done.
So
then
I
just
thought
to
myself,
what
kind
of
dog
shit
service
is
that?
I’m
making
a
new
rule
for
myself
and
advice
for
anybody
travelling
here
in
Europe
such
as
myself,
if
the
chef(s)
in
an
Asian
restaurant
isn’t/aren’t
Asian,
then
it’s
probably
not
very
good,
so
don’t
go
in
there
