This was such a cute place. They had a few characters to take pictures with and a few and I mean few vendors to buy trinkets from.

We were in a rush so we didn't get in. However, this place displays very important artefacts outside and you can experience them for free. The most remarkable one is the 3m original statue from Easter Island. This was donated as a gift from the Islanders and everyone can enjoy it in mainland Chile 🇨🇱 while wondering how impressive the others are, considering that this is the smallest of the bunch. There is also a cool stone structure that was used to ferment alcohol and one can easily say it was the first open bar around here.

Iconic museum with some very cool pieces in just the front lawn. Come take a look if you're in the area. They have an original statue found on Easter Island which is closest to this region of Chile. They also have a bird man statue made from grass and flowers. They also have an original rock which locals used to use to put fruit inside the divots and would then retreive the fermented fruit which became wine a couple days later.

Only outside. Tour guide didn’t let us in due to time limit to avoid pilgrims traffic

They have a very good collection of Rapanui instrument, a Moai statue and indigenous pottery. Interesting place to spend a evening.

Very cool statue to see in person! They have an actual Moai statue here and are apparently considering moving it back to Rapa Nui (Easter Island) soon. It weighs three tonnes and has iron anchors below the ground to hold it in place and prevent it from tipping over. Definitely check this statue out before they move it back to Rapa Nui!

It's a fantastic museum with an Easter island statue outside, but with all the literature for the Easter island inside the museum.

Very good sample of ancient chilean culture from the first settlements that took place in this large country from north to south.. also some archeological animal pieces (like the mammoth molar and other)

Great exhibits that are professionally layed out. Limited English descriptions.

On a bus route, the small museum holds a lot of information; Indigenous settlement and tribal range in South America with archeologically sourced material, Rapanui origin and history with one of the few Moai heads off island, and a gorgeous display of bugs, like I had never seen before. Worth a look for geeks! 😉

I wasnt able to enter due time restrictions but it is worth a visit just to see the statue outside. Be aware that the statue will return to its home this year.

This museum packs a lot in for 3,500 CLP. You can see an Easter Island statue outside for free. Inside, there are several exhibits with artifacts for Easter Island, Chile, and Peru. Also, an impressive natural history section upstairs with marine and land animals. Many signs have English translations. Plan to spend 45 minutes to an hour.

This is quite a unique place in Viña del Mar, in fact it's a must seeing in this city. It shows us one of the original rock statues from Easter Island that's now in this city.

Small museum. There was a large group from a cruise so it was very crowded. Can pay in Usd. Entrance fee is 4usd. Nice pottery and artifacts exhibition.

Excelent organization and cheaper tickets for students. Downstairs, there's a permanent exposition about the history of Chile (as it is a very extens country, it is interesting to see how the history was different from Arica to the South). The mummies and the ancient skulls are very conserved and they still transmit the intense spirituality of their tribes. Upstairs, there's a exposition of animals and insects very good as well. My friend is a biology student and he was fascinated about all it. The moai statue in front of the museum is also very atractive, and it is almost mandatory to take a picture with it.

Very interesting archeologic collection. I particularly enjoyed the exhibition about Easter Island, which had information in English as well as Spanish. Parts of the museum was with Spanish text only.

This Museium is okay. It has many items that you may actually like. Its not a big museum and therefore contains a very few items worth looking. Yet they have lots of reading material for you. The price is super cheap and the staff its friendly. If ur into this kind of locations.. you may like it.

Another closed attraction in Chile. It is still very difficult to get into country and yet it is very dirty. I mean Chile tourism ministry needs to know that they are not top of the food chain. A lot of depend on this industry. You are making the poor, poorer.
