Free entrance. It's a lovely place to visit, with lots of animals and greenery. You can go inside the buildings and receive guidance and info from staff.

You know, it is just lovely here. It is grandma village house right next to city that you never had opportunity to visit. And it’s for free! Animals are taken good care of, they all look clean and healthy! The museum-houses are pretty packed with old-times stuff, however, there could be a little bit more information in English provided. Museum is doing events and fairs according to the celebrations, what is awesome. Place is kids and dogs-friendly, there is caffe for fika to buy.

It is nice place for the kids. There is small restaurant in the center of the village. You can have a coffe or you can enjoy in traditional swedish cousine.

Open air museum with historical homes and Swedish animals. Free entry. There’s a nice cafe serving tasty coffee and pastries.

Sweden's old farmers history buildings and animals and live actors in classic costumes from the past. Very popular around midsummer, open every day all year long. Market's with silver jewelry 💍 and other accessories everything handmade on spot.

This is a great place to go with small kids. Completely free to enter and walk around. A number of animals on show, and depending on day or season, classic Swedish buildings to go into a see how life was previously. Shop opening right now has been limited due to covid, but when open there are a number of nice stores to wander around. A nice cafe and seating in the main square is a fantastic stop off when the weather us good. The midsommar celebrations are a goid thing to visit for as well. Heartily recommend a visit.

Contrary to “national” open air museums like Skansen, this museum recreates buildings from a single locale (Västmanland). This makes the museum balanced and believable. On a Wednesday in October, the buildings were closed and there was no particular program. Still walking around the village and seeing the live farm animals was a pleasant experience.

Beautiful museum and free of charge. Sadly most buildings are closed so we could only look in the windows

Nice place to visit and have a look back to history. I loved the staff were dressed up in costumes and played their roles.

They have protected their historical places and landmarks so good that I was amazed.

It is free and it is a piece of the old Sweden. From the center of Vasteras it is a pleasant half hour walk up the east bank of the river to get there. But do not expect a miniature Skansen.
