Okay!!! Sooooo.... THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER HAD IN THE 757!!!!!!!!! They put love in my stomach!! The chicken Philly had fresh homemade bread that was literally to die for!! The chicken wings had a buffalo sauce that you made you melt!! Every single person's plate in our party, was made with love. Even the french fries make your eyes roll back. The owner is truly a stand up King and those chefs in the back are truly one of a kind. The receptionist was the sweetest Queen ever!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Let me tell you right now. Hands down, one of the best around and my new lunch spot. There's nobody competing with them and this coming from a southern guy born and raised who knows food. I never tasted anything up here so good since I been here. I advise and highly recommend if you want a smile on your face and a full belly, this is the place.

We decided to Google black owned Virginia restaurants and found this place ( PLATE ME PLEASE). I'm very picky. Never in my life have I ordered so many things and everything tasted so good. Not to mention The house sauce, homemade tea's (Tiger woods) . The hospitality is home warming and the food is soul comforting to your soul. Visiting Va Beach/Norfolk. The food was DELICIOUS and portion sizes were just right. Very nice atmosphere (although it was take-out) and the restaurant was clean. Will definitely return if I'm ever visiting the area again.

Mannnn do not walk to this place . RUNNN I’m talking from fresh and flavorful. Sweet tea, lemonade and whew chyyyyy the honey cornbread?!!😮‍💨 I could eat that by itself My mom had the seafoood Mac and that’s a whole other subject I wanted to steal her plate. 😂 but RY was a sweetheart as soon as we walked in and helped us out! it was our first time and we’ll be back. OMG, Shot out to Chef Andrea’s granny who had her in the kitchen early! This food was absolutely amazing and the presentation was beautiful. My husband and I went for a late lunch maybe around 3. We had crab cake balls, salmon bites, wings and shrimp and grits! Oh and that moist behind honey cornbread that taste like cake!!!! It was a bit of a wait BUT it was so worth it. We appreciate the chef/owner coming out to greet us. The aesthetics of the restaurant was nice very modern. And the best part about it was that it was price very reasonable in an unreasonable inflation time. I highly recommend!

The 3 piece fish dinner was on point! I had mac-n-cheese and yams for my sides, everything tasted like my grandmother's cooking especially since she was raised close to the beach. Y'all gotta get here and get some of this good soul food by the sea

Plate me please was very good! I got something simple but the taste wasn’t simple at all. I had a shrimp Salad but the salad was seasoned. Mmmmm. I met with a business group and looking at every one else’s good looking plate, I was asking to share. That fish was the Bomb, and that Cornbread was Slammin!! Customer service was great as well. I definitely will visit again!

I tried one of their new dishes that the waitress recommended which was the Seafood Mac which came with Salmon, Crabcake & Shrimp. It was seasoned to perfection and nice size portions. Customer service was on point as well! I would recommend anyone to try this hidden Gem! I will definitely be back!

I’m new to the area and simply typed in “best takeout place near me”. Now, sometimes the results are hit-and-miss but tonight Google was right on the money! This place is easy to miss from the street. It looks like a hole in the wall, but it’s definitely worth the stop! I ordered the chicken tacos (comes with fries) and an extra side of Mac&cheese. In all seriousness, these may be the best fries I have ever had. Seasoned and fried to perfection. The Mac&Cheese was seasoned nicely too and the chicken tacos came with some great dressings to give it a kick. I loved it! Not to mention, this place was very affordable and the girls at the front were really kind! I had the 2 piece fish dinner with Mac and yams and boy can I say the fish was seasoned to perfection the Mac was nice and cheesy and omg the yams were sweet I loved everything and I most definitely will be back

The food was obviously made from scratch, the flavors were amazing. Both the crab cakes, and shrimp chicken and broccoli Alfredo had me drooling before he could even set it down. 10/10 if I was a local. I’d be here all thee time. Gonna be thinking about this for weeks to come. Fantastic hole in the wall type place. Shout out to the chef!!!

Good customer service, The food was really delicious especially the corn bread and the sweet yams. Everything was good and served fresh.I'm definitely coming back.

We traveled from Richmond to visit my daughter and she bragged how good the fish was; however, corn bread will take you back to your grandmother's day of homemade cooking. The crab balls are authentic crab meat and is excellent. The food is worth the drive from any where. The owner is one of a kind. She stayed opened to serve us pass the close time.

By far the best culinary experience to date, not only was the food absolutely delicious but you can taste it! Our server was attentive, helpful, and overall made it a comfortable dining experience. Would recommend HANDS DOWN! The cornbread is amazing!!! Thank you Andrea for providing some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen!!

The food was not good. I ordered shrimp, mac and cheese and yams the only good this was the shrimp. banana pudding was nothing like the pictures. Won't be returning
