Freakin awesome dive. Good casual food, great selection of drinks and beer and awesome atmosphere. This is a diamond in the rough. Loved it.

I loved my Cheeseburger To Go. Delicious. I stayed at the hotel across the street. I got a cheeseburger to go. Got it quick bc it was a Sunday afternoon. I will try to go there again the next time I stay here, and have a beer.

Awesome little burger joint. The walls are decorated with bumper stickers and cash. Not a huge menu but burgers are amazing! Advice: double you burger or better yet, order 2. Prepare to wait. Fills up quick but worth the wait.

Walking distance from the USS Wisconsin. Great burger! 🍔🍔🍔. So glad we stumbled in before our trip. We tried multiple burgers, beers, and fried Oreos. All were great. We met friends out late and I had a second burger the same day. Very well done Jack Brown's. If I pass through Norfolk again I will definitely stop by again.

This is a very small and relaxed burger beer bar. They have a very simple menu, just fresh quarter pounder wagyu burgers with many topping options. There is one other option: a grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered the simple cheese burger with pepper jack cheese. They have a house aioli sauce that really set it off. It's delicious. They serve a crispy crinkle fry. It's a really good value for price here. There's so many beer options here. It's hard to make a decision. This is a very small bar. We lucked out with an open table upon arrival on a Saturday evening. Many people had to wait behind us for a table or seats at the bar. I found the decor whimsical and entertaining. After all, it is a bar. The staff here were friendly and attentive. Again, it's cozy, clean, and loud. Great place to hang out with a few friends.

Staff was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices weren’t too bad for downtown Norfolk. The burgers aren’t very big so definitely get the fries. Try their house-made aioli sauce to dip your fries in, it’s delicious. I had the Greg Brady which has Mac & Cheese on it and it was awesome. This is a bar, definitely not a place to bring kids. Space and seating is limited so this place is better for small groups of 2-4.

If you want that hipster 3 speed feel, beanie cap on a 90 degree day and some salty local sailors, this is your place. They also serve one of the most amazing burgers I've had in a long time. Stopped in here on Sunday as we were in town (from MD) for a concert at the pavilion across the river. Busy but worth the wait!

Fun spot to pop in for a drink or two or a quick bite the eat. The burger menu offers a nice selection of classics with some innovative offerings on rotation with the daily burger special. Decent beer selection both on tap and bottled. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

While it seemed like a hole in the wall with its rustic décor and dollar bills plastered everywhere, the reviews here show me otherwise. Jack Brown's was a perfect Sunday evening getaway for a nice chat with friends over burgers and beers. I wasn't sure how the burgers would be, but hello yes, they were delicious and I'd totally go for another one.

Ordered the Dr. Gonzo (Mushroom and Swiss with Bacon), fries, and a drink (coke). Service was fast. The atmosphere was of your typical bar but staff was super friendly and attentive. Food was still hot when I got back to my room 1/4 mile walk. So, can only imagine it was fresh and extremely warm when I took the order to head back to hotel. Must try local joint. Small but plenty of seats at the bar.

Small joint, big on taste. Best bartender! That house made sauce is awesome. I grabbed a Classic Jack. Super good. Highly recommend and great prices.

I discovered this great burger joint on a visit to Norfolk in 2022, and made it a point to return on my visit in 2023. The atmosphere is hard to describe you just have to go in and see it for yourself it's rustic and gritty and no BS. The burgers are fantastic, the fries are fantastic, the beer selection is very good, and the people are friendly. Make sure you save room for dessert as they only have one item on the menu and it's all you need: fried Oreos. Absolutely delicious!

Very cool place! Good wagyu beef, only complaint is that they don’t offer a double burger with half pound of beef. Great drink choices, and fun atmosphere with great decor. I’m going to stop at the one in Richmond on the way home, and Kill Devil Hills next summer at the beach.

Thankfully, they were open on Christmas day and let me tell you it was probably one of the best burgers i’ve had in VA so far! Shouts to whoever was playing house music, A+

Came here to try their draft beer. Personally I'm more of a dark beer person, rather than IPA. Tried three notch imp. Bourbon barrel. (Local brew) impressed. Strong, rich chocolate, coffee taste. Will come back to try their burgers. I've heard good reviews about their burgers.

This was my 2nd time coming here. Nice, small, hometown joint. Service was really good. Staff came and checked on me multiple times and just brought refills. That was very much appreciated. The burgers were good. I did the Classic Jack. It was really good. I'm definitely going back and I'm going to try another burger. I may get 2 next time. The fries were really good and that JB sauce was really good too. This is definitely a must try. Don't get discouraged if it's packed in there. Just walk in. Try to find a Seat and if you can't just do a to go. That's what I did the 1st time. Food was so good. The pictures don't do the burger justice. So good in person. The dollar bills are hilarious too. Some have some funny msgs people left. I give this place 2 thumbs up all day

Wow! So good! The gentleman helping us was quick with suggestions when telling him what we liked in a beer and he was spot on! Burgers were excellent and their house made sauce for them was absolutely fabulous!

Def has all the dive bar feels, burgers are great, and they rotate through their ciders pretty frequently - in case you have a celiac intolerance. The "memorabilia" constantly surprises me, I notice something new each time I go. Doesn't matter how many times I go back, still one of my favs

The Popeye burger, beer selection and service (Kelly and Lauren) were great. I may be a little biased but it was a great lunch, if it wasn’t I wouldn’t post. @jackbrownsnorfolk

Best part first. The "All Jacked-Up Fries" stole the show. REALLY good! The place is on the small side and there's some funny NSFW customer created artwork behind the bar (I loved it). The staff was great and attentive and the food was unusually quick to arrive. I was really surprised. I ordered the special for Thursday which was "When in Roam" and it was pretty good. My only gripe would be that something in it was still cold. Which maybe that's the sweet jalapeno bacon jam and it's supposed to be cold? Dunno. I didn't ask. The burger was probably the most tender burger i've ever had and no complaints on flavor. But it was difficult to pay attention to the burger after trying the All Jacked-Up fries. Those are stupid good. I'll definitely be back the next time im in town for business.

I came here for one reason and one reason only. The donut burger was a hit! The various beers were a huge plus. I went on a Sunday and it was quiet with a good local vibe. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely go back.

Dude this place is awesome. I don’t know what was better, the staff or the food. Burgers are great, cool creations on the menu. Burgers are a little on the small side but I think it’s a ploy to get you to order two. Nice move, if so.

I attempted to call in a pickup order, but that service was unavailable. On a Saturday night the wait for an in person takeout order was about 20 minutes. The staff was fun and provided great service. The atmosphere was eclectic with a local vibe. The Cowboy and Chiflet burgers were great. I recommend the BBQ sauce and The Jack sauce.
