We absolutely loved our stay at Bay Haven. Tammy and Jim are gracious, detail oriented, guest focused hosts. They have thought of everything to make your stay fabulous. The sheets and towels are delightful and the breakfasts were the best we’ve had at any B&B. From the rosemary lined entrance which sets up your stay, to the immaculately clean home, this was a shear joy to experience.Keep on blessing your community, they are truly blessed that you call Cape Charles home.

Second visit in 2023, enjoyed our stay as guest of Jim and Tammy with four of our closest friends, the Bay Haven Inn did not disappoint, fantastic breakfast and a wonderful relaxing weekend. The holiday activities in the historic Cape Charles district on Friday evening were an extra treat during our visit. Highly recommend!

We only stayed one night, but we left there feeling we made a lifetime friendship with Tammy. They are a wonderful couple. We will not hesitate to return, and recommend them to others. Their attention to detail is noteworthy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bay Haven Inn! Both Tammy and Jim made us feel welcome and provided such warm and comfortable ambience. From our pleasant reception to our heartfelt invitation to visit again, we enjoyed their cozy home and sharing of all the changes in Cape Charles. We highly recommend Bay Haven Inn!

What an amazing find! We recently spent a weekend here and are so glad that we did. They don't have a lot of rooms, but if you can find some availability, I highly recommend it. The rooms are very well appointed and the hosts are magnificent. They have thought of every detail to make the stay special. It wouldn't be a bed and breakfast without the breakfast and the breakfast here is among the best I have had. The breakfast was fresh, exquisite and unique. Unlike other places I have stayed where breakfast is an after thought, Bay Haven makes it a highlight.

Spent three lovely days at the Bay Haven Inn. Well appointed rooms, loved hearing about the history of the old house. But I have to say I think that the hosts Tammy and Jim were very cordial and accommodating to our needs. They added special treats that weren't expected. Also the breakfasts were delicious. We highly recommend this B&B for anyone.

What a grand old lady of a house in quaint Cape Charles! Bay Haven Inn delighted me with her gorgeous wraparound porch and soaring ceilings and beautiful furnishings. This place achieves a perfect balance of historic charm and airy comfort, and the quiet bedroom was to die for! Tammy, the innkeeper, anticipates and answers every need, responsive and helpful without ever hovering. Her breakfasts are lovely, between the excellent food and lively conversation. True Southern graciousness, and I could have stayed forever!

My wife and I had a fabulous stay at Bay Haven Inn. Very peaceful location and also close to downtown. The hosts were very accommodating and ensured we have everything we needed and we were comfortable. The Inn was spotless and had beautiful places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or beer. A beautiful Park is adjacent to the Inn that made for a wonderful early morning walk. Will definitely be going back.

What a wonderful getaway! Exceptional hospitality, southern at its finest! I arrived in Cape Charles several hours before check in, while having brunch, I got a text from Tammy saying my room was ready early, if I wanted to check in! Lovely room, comfy bed, delicious breakfast each morning! Best thing, sitting on the porch having coffee in the morning and during a rainstorm having a glass of wine in the afternoon. Great suggestions on things to do and restaurants to try, all were perfect. Will definitely go again.

The home is historic & gorgeous. Our room the Alyce Wilson was large and very comfortable & private bath. We fell right to sleep in the comfy bed after driving around all day in our rented golf cart. At night we sat on the covered side porch & loved the breezes on the swing. Innkeepers Tammy & Jim were very friendly & the breakfasts were filling & delicious. Such nice people. Highly recommend Bay Haven Inn you won't be sorry.

Very beautiful Victorian style home. The rooms were decorated in period dressings. The breakfast was superb. The town was charming and even though it was March and still to cold to go in the water, I can definitely see coming back to enjoy that as well

I was lucky enough to get the last available room for a weekend on Cape Charles. We stayed in the Virginia Wilson Room and it was an absolute haven. You see, we were in the middle of a crazy heat wave and we had an outdoor wedding to attend as well during said heat wave. The Inn provided a cool soothing retreat from the heat of the day and night. I cannot stress how comforting it was to know it was our home base for the weekend. From the cool, unbelievably quiet rooms to the absolutely amazing breakfasts we just absolutely loved it. Tammy and Jim - the owners - are just wonderful hosts. They know everything there is to know about the town, its history and the history of the building itself. Between Tammy's cooking and Jim's baking, you will not go hungry during your morning pursuits whether it's the beach or a stroll on Mason. Even if it's hot, sit on the front porch on the swing. I did both days I was there and it is now a life goal to have one on a porch at my home. If you are looking for a weekend getaway, this is the perfect one. I would suggest checking out the Cape Charles Community FB page for their many events. There was a concert in the park right next door to the Inn that I wish we could have attended. I hope to have a weekend there in the future to attend one. You do not need a golf cart and they can be hard to come by. The two block walk to Mason is very easy and the streets are very quiet. If you choose to visit, I know you will love it!

Big shoutout to Jim and Tammy owners of Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles. What an awesome experience! The exceptional service started day 1 when the reservation was made. The outstanding accommodations coupled with the yummy home cooked breakfasts and them sharing the history of the home can only be described with one word. WOW!!!! And ever on that side of the water and want an experience like none other look no further. Bay Haven Inn is the best!!!!!!!

A stay at the The Bay Haven Inn was a lovely way to relax and enjoy the Cape Charles area. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last. Our hosts, Tammy and Jim, were attentive and very hospitable. Our days began with decadent breakfasts of stuffed French toast, egg and ham soufflé and scrumptious sweet potato ham biscuits. Fresh squeezed juices and a special coffee blend rounded out the meal that could rival any restaurant brunch. Our room was clean and so very comfortable and cozy! The inn is a short five minute walk to the town’s center of restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back!

Loved our little weekend get away! We had such a fun and relaxing time catching up with our friends! Our rooms were beautiful and cozy! Very comfortable! Tammy and Jim were wonderful host! Breakfast was so delicious every morning! The house felt very comfortable. The living spaces and porches welcomed you to relax with conversations, a few cocktails and perhaps a hand of cards. I’d recommend a visit here! Look forward to going back again!

My guy and I just returned from a wonderful birthday weekend at the Bay Haven Inn Bed & Breakfast. Walking up the steps to our B&B, we knew we were in for a beautiful experience. Tammy and Jim were the perfect hosts. The amenities, the warmth of the entire place, our room, our gourmet breakfasts, these are just a few mentions of what we loved. I think what we loved most though was Tammy and Jim. The stories they shared made us feel like family. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
