I
was
lucky
enough
to
get
the
last
available
room
for
a
weekend
on
Cape
Charles.
We
stayed
in
the
Virginia
Wilson
Room
and
it
was
an
absolute
haven.
You
see,
we
were
in
the
middle
of
a
crazy
heat
wave
and
we
had
an
outdoor
wedding
to
attend
as
well
during
said
heat
wave.
The
Inn
provided
a
cool
soothing
retreat
from
the
heat
of
the
day
and
night.
I
cannot
stress
how
comforting
it
was
to
know
it
was
our
home
base
for
the
weekend.
From
the
cool,
unbelievably
quiet
rooms
to
the
absolutely
amazing
breakfasts
we
just
absolutely
loved
it.
Tammy
and
Jim
-
the
owners
-
are
just
wonderful
hosts.
They
know
everything
there
is
to
know
about
the
town,
its
history
and
the
history
of
the
building
itself.
Between
Tammy's
cooking
and
Jim's
baking,
you
will
not
go
hungry
during
your
morning
pursuits
whether
it's
the
beach
or
a
stroll
on
Mason.
Even
if
it's
hot,
sit
on
the
front
porch
on
the
swing.
I
did
both
days
I
was
there
and
it
is
now
a
life
goal
to
have
one
on
a
porch
at
my
home.
If
you
are
looking
for
a
weekend
getaway,
this
is
the
perfect
one.
I
would
suggest
checking
out
the
Cape
Charles
Community
FB
page
for
their
many
events.
There
was
a
concert
in
the
park
right
next
door
to
the
Inn
that
I
wish
we
could
have
attended.
I
hope
to
have
a
weekend
there
in
the
future
to
attend
one.
You
do
not
need
a
golf
cart
and
they
can
be
hard
to
come
by.
The
two
block
walk
to
Mason
is
very
easy
and
the
streets
are
very
quiet.
If
you
choose
to
visit,
I
know
you
will
love
it!
