***Edit*** So after our first experience, we returned to play the Experiment. The room was okay. We ended up escaping but the room was not our favorite. Our issue with the room was it didnā€™t flow well and each time we asked for a clue we didnā€™t really get much clarity on how to move on. Again the room was okay. We decided to return a third time and give the Lost Professor a chance since we really enjoyed Railway Robbery. Lost professor didnā€™t flow well either. The puzzle in the room was pretty difficult, especially in low light. The hints given by the game master were lengthy and difficult to follow (especially over a dollar store radio.) Some of the puzzles were so outlandish we would have never got them without multiple hints. The room decor in the Lost Professor was cool but that didnā€™t make up for the poor quality game. The prices for the games are pretty affordable but rememberā€¦. You get what you pay forā€¦. I think weā€™ve had our fill from this establishment. My family and I have done several escape rooms at various establishments across the U.S. This was our first time at One Way Out and I must say, Iā€™m impressed. Weā€™ve only done one room so far but will be back to do more. This time we chose Railway Robbery. The room was decorated nicely which made for a good atmosphere to play in. The puzzles were difficult but doable. The staff was friendly and gave adequate clues to help us along as needed. My family and I had fun. If you love escape rooms like we do, then I recommend giving One Way Out a shot.

It was a fun experience for my birthday party. Everyone enjoyed the room, except one of keys we needed to get to unlock the room was really stuck. But we did get a 10% for our next time over there, I'll defiantly be using that the next time I book. There will be a next time. Also shout out to Faith who was really nice and gave us some hints. Will come again to this.

We had a very enjoyable time! It was challenging, but fun. The room setup was done up very well. The staff was very helpful and personable. We will definitely attempt another room in the future.

Great first time experience. Alittle stressful. Being first time but after we started working together , it started coming together. And Faith was great and helping us with clues. I would definitely go back. We ran out of time but she gave us a couple minutes to finish because we were right there at the last one. Wonderful time.

This place is super fun! The puzzles were rewarding to complete and our party felt super smart figuring them out! We finished with :30 left! We're definitely doing another one soon!

This place is terrible. It costs way too much money. They insist that you have to be in a group of at least 4, and they demand that you book in advance even though they have openings at almost every time. Most customers to escape rooms will come alone, and most of them will not book in advance. So, they are refusing and alienating most of their customers! So harsh towards customers, and it is a terrible business model. They cost 20 dollars per person for a ticket, and, since they insist on groups of 4 at minimum, it actually costs at least 80 dollars! That is so expensive!!! It is highway robbery! You should not charge 80 dollars for a cheap escape room that is very low quality. So terrible!!! This place is so bad!

This was a great experience, but they do not change the rooms often and only have 3 or 4 so once you've done them that's it. I think it's been almost a year since my friends and I have been able to go because of them having the same rooms we've already done.

Very fun activity. Online checkin made getting started a breeze. I hope they'll refresh some of the longstanding room themes.

We had Brad as our game master, he was super friendly and his hints were very helpful! We drove all the way from Frederick MD to do Paravell's three keys and it was totally worth it! We will definitely be back!

Awesome experience! The effort put into making intuitive puzzles, attention to detail, fun atmosphere made for a great time. One of the best escape rooms I've done, will gladly do another with this company

We had a great time even though we ran out of time to solve the room. We were *that* close. Honestly, we could have done another room that day. Even though three of the four of us were really competitive, we worked together, which was nice. Look forward to doing another room.

Such a good time! the staff working the facility were super friendly, knowledgeable, and helped our group (a lot of whom hadnā€™t done an escape room) be able to go in and win the game!

We had so much fun doing the Railway escape room yesterday. The puzzles were tricky but still solvable, the room was fun. We had a blast and absolutely want to do it again!

Had a great time for my friend's bachelor party. The challenges are fun and once you get rolling, the time flys.

Me and a friend went to One Way Out and it was an amazing experience! Faith was the one helping us and giving hints and she was super super nice and even let us have a few extra minutes since we were so close to finishing The Experiment. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back in the future!

Every time we go we have a great experience. If you're wanting to go on a weekend or over a holiday, make sure you book the rooms online. They can get full fast!

This was an amazing escape room! We did ā€œThe Experimentā€ and loved it. Women in STEM, am I right?? This was a perfect place to celebrate my friends birthday. The employees were so nice, and we will definitely return!

Took my daughter for her 13th birthday with a group of her friends. We had a blast, everyone was very friendly, and the room was perfect for beginners. I would only say it was pretty warm in the facility... the air was turned on as we were leaving. Otherwise we had a great time!

We decided to do the escape room for my sonā€™s 11th Bday. It was my husband and I and four eleven year old boys. It was so much fun to see them all work together to try to solve everything. Great experience!

I've done a number of escape rooms and I was very pleased with this one! Not too hard, not too easy. Some cool keys and props, with a variety of locks. The storyline was also decent. I'd go back to do another room!

I took my nephew as a gift and we also had my daughter, sister in law and her sister. We arrived on time and the staff was pleasant but not overwhelmingly joyful. We did the Railway Robbery and the room was decorated very thoughtfully and added to the experience. We were doing great until the second to last lock. We had the combination but the lock was awful!!! It was such an odd lock, like you have to go to the first number three times then the second number two times, etc then turn it slowly until it stops- it was awful. We had the correct combination and spent over 10 minutes trying to open it. Finally, our time ran out and we still didnā€™t get it open. We then asked the ā€œhostā€ to show us how it opens and even she said she couldnā€™t and went to get someone else. While we were waiting on her, we were able to get it. So that shows we had the right combination but the lock just made it too difficult. On top of that, whoever reset the room didnā€™t lock one of the locks so we got out of order which wasted some time to get back on track. Overall, it was ok- we were bummed about the difficult lock and not being reset completely but we can have fun together doing anything.

Lot of fun! Puzzles ranged in difficulty and we're great for building and demonstrating teamwork. Experience was not as linear as I expected, which made the experience more engaging. Would definitely come again to try the other room experiences. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

So.... much...fun!!!!! Went for my husband's birthday with a group of 8 and had an absolute blast. Went back a month later with just my husband and me for date night. The rooms are incredibly well done and very challenging and fun. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We plan on coming back again and again until we've worked our way through all the rooms. Love love LOVE this place!

A Grandma, a Mom and four teens went on a train ride. All had a blast and contributed to the escape. Try it. You will be totally amazed at this gem hidden in Lynchburg. We are going next weekend to try another room. See you there!

Always enjoy coming to One Way Out! Staff is always friendly, rooms are very complex, and they can become addicting. Have done all five of their current rooms right now, two we didnā€™t escape. They need to get another room in ASAP! Us escape room junkies need or fix šŸ˜‚

I recently rented a room for my daughterā€™s 11th birthday and couldnā€™t be more pleased with how it all turned out. This was my first experience with an escape room so we all went in not knowing what to expect. The puzzles were challenging but not too far beyond the capability of an elementary age kid. Even though we didnā€™t succeed we were very close, only 3-4 steps away from a W. The staff were really nice, giving the kids an additional 2 or 3 hints towards the end. And when it was over they revealed the answers to what we were struggling with, which she really didnā€™t have time for with another group coming in. That was a nice gesture
