Absolutely awful! The room was disgusting, smelly, there was a 1 inch gap beside the sliding glass door. The only thing that looked remotely clean was the sheets. DON'T go barefoot, the carpet is... sticky... toilet was turned sideways. Was told there was a pullout couch but when we removed the cushions all there was was trash.!Open receptacles in the drywall where something was apparently removed and not replaced. Was charged 30% more than the advertised rate and when we asked the woman at the desk said those rooms are sold out, but this is a much nicer room... if that is nice I shudder to think about the other rooms! Save your time!

Its not that I stay there and the air not fix called about it 2 times. I don't get towels or toilet paper. I clean my own room and the sheet and cover. Are not changed. Bobby is a nice guy. But I'm not getting what I pay for. But the worst are the roaches. I have bought bug killer but they come back.

so after ready a majority of reviews, I realize maybe you all decided to skip past this detail or many of you may be unaware. Several people passed away in those rooms and two overdosed in the parking lot. - it took too many lives lost for the place to be shut down.

Arrived during evening to this Travel Inn where I had made my reservation 3-months earlier, and they did not honor it. Upon arrival into the parking lot I realize it is NOT in a safe area of town. The paint is chipping overhead of the entry-way. A bathroom smell hits you first-thing as you open the door to enter, and the place does not smell clean. The “manager” was very unprofessional. I greeted her, she ignored me. I greeted her again, showed her my receipt of the multi-day reservation I had made and her reply was, “We have NO rooms. What can I tell you? The people that are here don’t wanna leave. We have NO rooms for you.” They did not honor it. As I was leaving, she calls me back and says, “we do have a room reserved for which the person hasn’t shown up, and they paid $800.00 for it, I can give it to you.” 😂I almost fell over laughing within me. I said, “ no thanks! I wouldn’t want to take someone else’s room, nor do I believe anyone would pay $800 for a room, and even less that they’d want to stay here! I think you’re doing me a favor by not honoring my reservation, and everyone will hear about this trashy place.” I made my reservation through a connection through a link from the Southwest Airline, with Bookings.com. DO NOT EVER RESERVE A ROOM AT THE TRAVEL INN in Petersburg/Ft. Lee VA. NOT A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD. After I left I called the Ft. Lee Base, and the person I was visiting, and they assisted me in finding a room in the very lovely Hampton Inn in Hopewell, VA.

This place has A FEW decent rooms, but for the most part is just a local place where people live rather than visit. The best thing I can say about the accommodations is that the beds are comfortable, and all of the staff are friendly, with the exception of the manager, Mr. Singh. He has a very nasty disposition to be in charge! The rooms smell like must and mildew, the tubs have been painted rather than replaced, and it is roach infested. Also, the elevators break down every week! The stairwells smell of urine, and there are clear signs of drug use!

We were on a road trip & needed a quick place to crash until morning. *Pre-Pandemic* This place was DISGUSTING! And I go camping- so I’m willing to put up with a lot in terms of lodging- but this week pace had me ask for my money back within MINUTES of checking in. It was unclean, multiple burnt cigarette holes on BOTH blankets on both beds. The rug smelled like wet sweaty socks, the mini fridge had MOLD that I could’ve scraped out with a credit card, the lock wouldn’t LOCK! The list can go on…. Not to mention the hotel didn’t want to issue a refund because I already went upstairs to see the room. I had to literally pull up the law that showed I needed to get my refund. We chose to sleep in the CAR instead. It was that bad.

This hotel should be closed and demolished by the city. This is a crack house. Not safe at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! HORRIBLE! DISGUSTING!! ZERO STARS! Folks...I stayed at this sorry excuse for a hotel two weeks ago! I booked this ridiculous place online, 3 hours before I arrived, as I was travelling on I-95. I arrived at 11pm, and if I wasn't exhausted from driving, I definitely would have left!! OKAY folks...these are the problems: ROACHES, multiple cigarette burns on bed blankets, NO toilet paper, plugged toilet, No TV, dirty shower, malfunctioning Air Conditioner...and a number of other things!! PLEASE don't stay here folks! This place should be condemned!! No...I'm not a hater, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this hotel is disgusting!! POINT BLANK...I've literally stayed in HUNDREDS of hotels across America!! This sorry hotel is by far the worst!!

Traveling from Florida back home to Boston, I stopped to stay at this hotel. I’ve stayed in many hotels in my 53 years, I have never seen anything like this. This place is the worst of the worst, third world countries don’t have hotels this bad. I never leave reviews, but I had to on this one. Stay away from this place! It is the worst of the worst! You could not pay me to stay at this hotel, never mind me paying to stay at this hotel. This place should be condemned, avoid at all costs.

As someone who never writes reviews, I stand by this review with my full name showing. I booked this through hotels.com, and I get to this ominous looking motel with five cars in the parking lot. I go to the office, and it's closed with no one in it. No one answers the phone. Five minutes later an elderly woman under the influence of something comes marching to me and barks "what the !@#$ do you want?" What a terrific welcoming. Turns out they never received my reservation (although I'm sure they did). At this point, I made up my mind that I would not stay at such a sketchy place, but she offers me a room with the caveat of the room not having a refrigerator. I ask if the room's clean. She glares at me and says "the people in there did something to the refrigerator." So if I am getting what you're putting down...the room is in fact dirty. I gotcha. Avoid this "establishment" and the other motels nearby---all look the same levels of sketchy. I'm writing this review in the Red Roof ten minutes away, and I will be calling the Travel Inn in the next few days to make sure management (if there is management) knows about my unpleasant interaction.

Went to stay here the other night with my 2 sons they put me in a room with no TV floors dirty bathroom floor had a blade on it and dirt from them painting the bathtub. Would never come back to this nasty hotel. Oh by the way they don't change the bedsheets or wash them after checkouts. Dont waste your money. Not cover safe. Front desk guy is fake and all he wants to do is play games.
