After seeing the Zalud House featured on Ghost Adventures I wanted to visit the house. Today my mother and I went and enjoyed the house and it’s history. Heather showed us around was very knowledgeable, we definitely got our money’s worth. We both liked the fact that everything is original family artifacts. As for paranormal, downstairs we didn’t feel anything but when upstairs in Annie’s room with “the chair” you get a heavy feeling in your chest at the door way. Outside Edward’s room we also experienced an anxious feeling. I also caught a blue orb by the mirror in Annie’s room. I would recommend touring the house for the history you learn about it.

Very interesting place. The mirror in the owner's room has his face in it... ooohhh... And they have newspapers from 1912 that speak of the Titanic...OMG

My adult girls and I enjoy touring historical homes in the Central valley and this was one of the best! Our guide unfortunately did not give us her name but she was extremely knowledgeable and easy to listen to and did a great tour at the house! I would highly recommend going here. It was a fun day out! Now go get your snacks for a quick drive to porterville 😊

This place was awesome, about 90% of everything in the house is original or related to the zalud's in some way, very unique in historical museums, the tour guides are so cool, the best 3 bucks you'll spend that day, if you like old places this is definitely a must see.

Almost like traveling back in time. The staff had more stories about the Zalud family than you can imagine. A must see when you visit Porterville.

I felt right at home visiting that house full of historic artifacts while at the same time felt a presence while walking upstairs to the bedrooms. The garden is quite nice and picturesque.

If you are in the mood for some historical and infamous truvia about this town, it would be a nice place to visit.

One of Porterville's most famous attractions. It's open 3 days a week for tours. The price is right! If you are in the mood for some historical and infamous truvia about this town, it would be a nice place to visit. A little bit of trivia..the Ghost Adventures tv show did an episode a few years ago.

This tour is a steal for only $3. I had to tip extra after my experience because this place really deserves it. The tour guide is so kind and informative. You can tell she really cares about the stories she tells and the people she talks about. Really special place, and all the furniture belonged to the original owners.
