Excellent visit. We made a last-minute reservation, and Quinta de Covela was able to fit our party of 8 (6 adults, 2 kids) in for a tour and tasting. Orlando took great care of us. If you're looking for a small-scale vineyard and wine producer with beautiful grounds, this is a great choice. Reservations are not explicitly required but strongly recommended.

This is one of the most idyllic and special wineries I have visited. We drove a bit more than 1hr and it was totally worth it! The wineries, information, wines, and the terraces were just magnificent. Orlando welcomed us and provided a private tour of the premises and we stayed more than two hours in total enjoying the quietness and shade of the lovely terrace. If you have time just for one winery visit, I would definitely advise to go for the Quinta de Covela!

Honestly could not have had a better experience, everything was pure magic! Janaina was the perfect host and the Quinta is absolutely beautiful. We went for the Gran wine tasting, trying 6 different wines + Porto extra tasting. We also ordered 2 platters which made the full experience amazing. It was so peaceful and mesmerising, thank you for having us!

One of the top highlights of our visit to Porto; Quinta de Covela is the most beautiful winery in the Douro region. The grounds are gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The history is quaint. Although the wine is pretty good, visit Covela to feed your soul and check the box that you have seen one of the most beautiful places on this planet. If you venture to the Douro, do not miss visiting Covela.

Beautiful location for an interesting and personal wine tour and tasting. Our host (Jana) was very engaging and informative about the winery and the wines. Be sure to reserve in advance as the tours are conducted individually just for you/your group. Our accommodation host organised this for us and we are glad she did.

Lucked out and got a last minute reservation. The tour was just our group of 8. It was a much more personal experience with a small group. Highly recommend making a reservation here. Orlando was fantastic.

We came earlier than our reservation time and the staff were very welcoming. The tour was done by Mr. Smith and he’s amazing. He explained everything and it was all very interesting. We learned so many things. And the wines taste great and with such good quality! We chose the package with 6 wines + cheese board for 2. The cheese board and bread was worth it and a perfect choice to have with the wines. Very reasonable price. You really get what you pay for. Good quality products. The place is very charming and very well maintained. I strongly recommend this wine tasting experience. The overall tour was very personalised. Thanks to Mr. Smith. Would love to come back when we get the chance to visit Douro again and hopefully with some friends/family. If I could give 6stars I would.

An enchanting place, full of tranquility and beauty, friendly and kind people and, hey, really good wine. It would make a great day trip but if you can arrange a longer stay, it’s sublime.
