One fine late afternoon in not-quite-warm early February, my wife, baby and I found the purest idyll in this cozy, family-run restaurant - a warm welcome by the mother of the house and her daughters, who were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Despite having to forego our planned visit to the monastery, We had a wonderful time savouring delicious seafood or meat and local wine served here. We definitely intend to come back regularly as our little one grows up!

We had a very pleasant evening. We just had some starters (clams, shrimps, ham and cheese) which were all of extremely high quality. I recommend clams and shrimps which were expectional. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff with good recommendations on food and wine. Definitely somewhere to stop for an authentic local flavours.

We had shortlisted 3 food outlets for our lunch in Alcobaca. This was the choice of 5 persons on a drizzly afternoon. Certainly did not regret our choice, as the starter Cheese and Ham had really quality local cheeses and hams from Alentejo, served with a very refreshing Alvarinho from Monção Melgaço. Of course, do not forget their breads with olive paste. The other wonderful dishes we ordered, were their signature Chicken stewed in a clay jar, fresh clams in olive oil n garlic, a crispy salad of greens n more. My favourite was Zucchini flowers lightly battered and fried. The owner dropped by to confirm the origins of their cured meats with pride that they were certainly of Portuguese origin. After lunch, we spent time in their very interesting wine shop that housed old vintage wines at incredible prices.

A very nice restaurant! Meat, seafood, fish as well as the children's menu - everything you want is here. Drinks diversity is amazing. Thanks a lot for your hospitality! 5 stars for sure!

Food ok, the only thing is that even if you ask for no starter they will bring and charge. Wine glass 5euro each so basic lunch in a so so place will cost you over 50 euros for 2 people

It’s a mistake to eat here. It is a tourist trap, very small portions and high prices. Plate of pardon peppers (10 extremely spicy) for 10 euros. You get twice as much mussels for half the price on the next street. It’s sad.

Great wine store! I purchased via the online store and found them to be friendly and helpful throughout the process. My selection arrived in perfect condition and on time (excellent packaging).
