The Square is the cafe where they serve you breakfast at Novotel. Now the food is quite good, the ambiance is amazing - the view out is fantastic. The staff, understandably a bit harried but they still manage to deliver with a smile

Visited here with team & channel partner for a lunch. This restaurant serves buffet food only. Everybody enjoyed the food. Took time for getting the table.

I went over for lunch and found The Square extremely pleasing to the eye due to the location. Amazing views of the Sea and the Port nearby. Food was good. Staff are friendly and take care of you. Didn't have to wait for the food. Ambience is great. We stayed there for a couple of hours more to relax. Do visit for tasty food and breathtaking views.

Food is quite good here the only thing is they don't have much options for vegetarians. For a vegetarian the only basic things are there like paneer , mushroom nothing else.

Good place and ambience is also nice. The view from this restaurant is amazing. You can walk by the pool and take pictures of the sea and the R.K Beach road. The buffet is good and they have verity to offer. The food taste is average. I have come here multiple times and with my friends and colleagues every time I felt the food taste could have been better.

Overall experience was good food was excellent.There were many items in the Buffet. We tried a little bit of everything. Everything was great.There was also a live pizza counter. We ordered pizza thank you for the hospitality

It is a good place to have a buffet meal, breakfast is what we go for in this place since it is one of the few places that have a good buffet especially on the weekends. Also it has a nice view of the sea.

Good location, ambiance, service, and selection of items in the buffet spread but everything tasted just okay or subpar except for the fried fish. We tried a little bit of everything and couldn’t take more than 1-2 bites without feeling disappointed and moving onto the next item.

Dessert was amazing. Amazing RK beach view but main course & starters could have been better. Staff was as usual polite, humble. Do use eazydinner app to get 30-40% discount on buffet. Rs3600 for two costed me only Rs2300 for two people.

Totally recommend the place for the ambience. I liked the Indian food items very much, the continental food palate was not up to the mark.

I went during a circus event where all the servers dressed like clowns. They had a live singer, juggler and magician. It was quite a different but pleasant experience. The food was delicious. They had a juice, salad, traditional, pan-asian, wok, mocktail and dessert and grill stations. Although they had limited seafood selections, their food was high quality and delicious. I was able to sample a couple of their mocktails which were both delicious.

Wide variety of Breakfast 🥐🍳, Good Customer service. Food taste is excellent 😋. Suggestions: Near the pool area the company can arrange some kids and Toddlers playing items like, Swings, Sliders etc etc, so families can spend some time when they plan to come for Breakfast or Lunch .... Else if there is any designated kids play area in the hotel an information display will be great 👍.

Wednesday Barbeque Buffet 😋🤤 especially their Banana leaf wrapped fish 🐟 was excellent!!

Wide spread of buffet, special spread on Sundays.They even serve ala cart.Sit and enjoy your meal with the beautiful view of the bay of Bengali. Sushi lovers should go on a Sunday.

I had an Eid special brunch buffet today which was really good. The restaurant is situated inside Novotel at L level near the swimming pool. The restaurant has a fantastic view of the pool and sea. The buffet cost was 1749 plus gst and which is a decent price for good quality food, varieties of cuisines and the ambiance.

Extremely pathetic service. They took almost 20 min to clear the table inspite of low turn put on women's day the special is the service. No cocktails nor mocktails are a thing altogether only ice with a hint of pink..... don't come to novotel the square....

The buffet was average.. it's way too pricy when you compare it with it's taste. I don't know why they have service charges when the service is one of the worst. Thank you and hope you improve the spuare.

Extremely well laid out spread for the buffet at lunch time. And great hospitality by the folks the at The Square. We got a special one for a reason; nevertheless the guys are great.

Novotel by Varun Beach is an expensive ACCOR HOTEL PROPERTY, with 5 star amenities. The quality of products and the hospitality we get there is very very nice. Coming to the food, thanks to the staff who gave us freshly cooked food, and also a subtle experience in the restaurant. Thanks entire team. Cheers.

Amazing Buffet with wide variety of dishes from different cuisine, majority of the dishes taste very good. We requested for white sauce pasta on the live counter and it was delicious, fresh bread was prepared for guests, overall its a value for money experience.

Excellent Hospitality at the Square restaurant from the chef Siljo. As we are taking veg diet Siljo made us the special Paneer Tikka. It was spectacular. From entering the place and until leaving he was constantly asking us for any requirement. We had a great time at The Square.

I didn’t expect such a bad service at such an expensive restaurant. Absolutely no one at the desk to take us to the table or even explain if there’s any option to order from menu or not. Vegetarian options in the dinner buffet are terrible. Some of the dishes were spoilt, they didn’t even bother to notice and replace it. The chutney that they just replaced in front of me is straight out of the fridge and had spoiled taste. Rest of the fresh items tasted average at best. Only thing that is good about the place is ambience. But take my word and don’t waste your money for such a pathetic experience overall

We have been going to this place since 2014 and always had a great experience. This time it was totally the opposite. We left very disappointed and unsatisfied with the food quality the taste the presentation and also the service. We had made prior reservations and still when we got there the staff seemed not interested or not welcoming at all. After sitting down after some time a waiter came to ask for water and then never came back to check on us. We had to keep asking for more water or bread etc. Which was not one expects when dining in a five star hotel and paying top prices. Food tastes was also way off then what it used to be so I am sure there's a change in Chef and team. The ambiance was not great over all as there used to be live music that would make one's experience pleasant but this time it was so dull. One more observation there was a group of 10-12 ladies who were dining there and the restaurant manager had 2 of his staff members along with himself pointed there with folded hands. They were getting the undivided attention as if we were all free food eater and not paying customers. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and should be addressed. The person whom we asked for our bill was so depressing looking and needs to smile maybe as he is in the hospitality business and that is one trait that they teach if anything. Saturday afternoon sadly spent for us.

Worst ever restaurant you can possibly visit. Pay price of 5 star restaurant and get service of 1 star restaurant with flies all around. Smelly and bad food is added on top of it. Sunday is the worst day to visit as it will get so crowded and no staff will have time to serve you. I suffered a lot and I would not recommend this restaurant to my enemy also.. I had Very bad experience with the family.
