Close to Downtown. When I was visit at place this time Ap government is running on half day lockdown. Such a peaceful place.

The buffet was simply not up to the mark. While the cost was low at 750/person the food wasn't good enough either in terms of taste or quality. The restaurant incentives you right from the moment you step in for the buffet rather than a la carte and that raises your expectations from the food. The vegetarian section has a very very limited range of options with a few simple curries that were too salty + noodle that were bland + rice that felt subpar to a home cooked meal. Perhaps the only saving grace is the choice of Indian breads but they arrive too late to save face. The deserts are a further let down particularly the concoction called pineapple souffle. It brought back all the terrible memories of taking pineapple flavoured cough syrups as a child. We waited a while for some slices if Dutch cake but I wish I had instead wandered around the marble hallways to click some pictures with the family. While the service was good and the views excellent you could see the cracks appear (quite literally) in the luxury brand of Taj Gateway. In conclusion, be satisfied by the sights rather than the food if you have deep enough pockets.

The buffet is worst. Please don't go for it. They will say, "starters are having live counter, we will serve you, to the table ", but the starters won't come to your table even after 1 hour. The waiters and buffet manager are worth less. U should ask many times if u need anything. Taste was not good. please don't visit this hotel for buffer purpose.

It was a pleasant experience. Stayed in an executive room having partial sea view and wow! it was amazing. Open the window curtains and you can see the sea and can see the ships as well :-). The room was pretty neat and clean. The room service folks were also very fast in providing the services. The hotel was completely booked but they never delayed in providing anything. The hotel deck is also an amazing place for photography. The location of the hotel is pretty near to all the Parks and Museums. You can walk to the Submarine museum. The front desk folks were also well behaved and have lot of patience to answer any queries. Coming to the GAD (gateway all day) restaurant - the food was amazing. The have a nice buffet menu. The restaurant staffs were also very nice.

The last time we went for dinner... It was a horrible experience!! The service wasn't good and the manager there was so rude to us... He simply judged us just because we look so simple...my family have had many dinners at the gateway since 10 years.. We have also booked rooms at events.. But I've never expected the staff to be so rude they didn't act in a professional way! I swear i won't visit this place again... Never ever going back to the place where my family was treated bad...

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The location is really great as it is on the marine drive of Ramakrishna Beach. The rooms were clean and very well maintained as expected of a hotel of this stature. We had opted for the breakfast and the dinner buffet and in both the cases there was a lot of variety of delicious food. All the staff like Prabal in housekeeping and others were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay and took care of all our needs. To sum it up, it was a grand experience!

Sharing my personal experience of 2 nights’ stay here which was quite an unpleasant one and easily the worst Taj experience I’ve had, never returning to this hotel again. Started with the terrible hospitality - front desk staff were impolite and unprofessional (felt the same after multiple interactions in the two days) with the only exception of the security guard at the main door, Mr. A. Prasad who when asked said that he has been working there for about 10 years. Very pleasant, warm and welcoming. Property looks deceiving from outside. The lobby and exterior is maintained stunningly, however the rooms need a lot of maintenance. The ground floor room I got was too old, shabby and congested with creaky spring beds, and even damaged flush buttons- can you beat that! Looked like it needed a revamp ages ago. I was expecting food to be a saving grace but unfortunately that was also subpar, (barring the reasonable pricing) The only pro I found is the location - it’s a beachfront property, sadly it ends there for me.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel has an excellent location. The rooms are large, spacious with modern amenities. The bathroom is large and clean. The staff is courteous and very helpful. We booked a sea facing room, which had a large window facing the garden/swimming pool area and the sea. We hired a car from the hotel for sightseeing. The rate was comparable to the market and the vehicle was in mint condition. The room service was prompt, food was tasty. The restaurants are spacious and serve Indian, Chinese and continental food. Complimentary breakfast was tasty, fulfilling and sumptuous. I would recommend a stay to the couples visiting Vishakhapatnam. The place is also great for official tour or even meetings or conferences.

Courteous staff and good location. The hotel needs immediate renovation. Rooms are large and provided with basic amenities and toiletries. However room floor have black stains. Simistains can be seen in bathroom and taps. The buffet breakfast is decent with options to choose from south or north Indian or continental food. Staff was very helpful. Especially Mr Roy at breakfast who was making sure every guest is well attended.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, the amenities were exceptional, and the staff provided outstanding service. From the moment I arrived until my departure, I felt like a valued guest. Highly recommend for a perfect 5-star experience.

Overall it was a good experience. The hotel is very dated and that is quite visible the moment you walk in. But they’ve done a good job with the renovations to make it look clean and modern on the inside. Partial sea view rooms are good. Service is great, and food is extremely reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Most veg dishes are available between ₹350 and ₹500. This hotel is perfect for travellers who are looking for a clean, functional place with good food. If you want better than this, I would suggest Novotel which is right opposite this hotel.

Recently we had a wedding in our family here and I was extremely happy with the hotel. Especially Mr. Anand was amazing in getting everything planned and organized. I'm beyond satisfied with the facility.

Great concept of Apartment Hotel. Owner/Manager was very cooperative and extremely cordial. Rooms were clean. Everything needed for comfortable stay was provided in the flat.. felt like home away from home. It provided mental space apart from physical space. Peaceful locality too. Amazing property. It's right in front of the RK Beach. The room I stayed in had a great sea view. I gave 3 stars to room because it was giving a corporate vibe and it had a queen bed. The amenities offered were excellent. The property has an in house spa, a swimming pool and a gaming zone. You won't feel boredom for a minute. The food was also above expectations. Options were limited but they gave immense delight to the taste buds

1. Great Ambience & sea view from both room & lawn are spectacular. 2. Room was neat & clean equipped with coffee machine, hair dryer, Good number of towels, Branded soap, Shampoo & body wash. Also you get iron with ironing board, Mini fridger,Bath Robe etc….3. Swimming pool is big & clean.4. Spa was very good. 5. Food in the in house restaurant GAD is delicious & top notch . Each dish in each meal was delicious. 6. Room service & staff behaviour was very good . 7. One bad thing I found is they need to replace the old bed & sofa. They should be upgraded as this is a 5 star hotel.

We have booked Godavari, banquet hall for our family wedding and it turned out to be a huge success...The ambience is excellent, food is simply awesome and the staff is very obedient and quick to resolve any sort of issues.....All our guests are happy and we had a memory. Thanks to the whole team and our special thanks to Mr.Anand, Manager who is there right from day 1 of booking to the end of the event pouring his suggestions and making our job easy. Room is not so well maintained. Breakfast is good however we ordered baby food with special instructions just for rice dal with boiled veggies which was worst .food undercooked and arrived at a delay of more than 1 hour. Disappointed stay!

Recommend to take Sea View rooms. It's more spacious and you will have beautiful view. You will have vast spread of Buffet Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner.

I had very pleasant experience of staying at The Taj Gateway Hotel during my recent visit to vizag. Beach view location gives you a perfect scenery both from room & from restaurant. Special thanks to Food and Beverage Incharge Mr Roy & his team who gave us such a nice experience of dining and doing special arrangements for my lil daughter. They didn't charge any for baby food/milk. Reception staff was also very co-operative during early morning check in & for late check out. Swimming pool manager was also very attentive & supportive to give us a pleasant experience. Overall property n staff deserves 5 stars rating for its hospitality.

The GM of the hotel Gopal Krishnan is very very courteous and made our stay most memorable. Sea view is nice. Offers a wide variety of Buffet Breakfast. Rooms are good. Except Gym/Swimming coach everything else is outstanding.Perfect 5 star hotel.

Worst Taj property I have been to, in terms of hospitality and service. We requested an early checkin and instead got a late checkin by an hour, all the while hearing the same message that it is going to be 5 more minutes. No callbacks and no explanations while we just waited after every call for those 5 mins to be over for 2 good hours. No complaints about the beach view except the windows were so dirty that I got a blurry view through the stay. Restaurant is unnecessarily expensive. Spa is okay. Overall, not the experience I was looking for.

Hotel is Good, But Reception Staff was not good. We Booked Double occupancy Room She Given Single Room to Us. And we Asked to change the Room, She Regret and told us to All rooms are booked. And Suddenly some other staff comes and Gives Double occupancy room. She Don't have Manner how to deal with Guest. I think they need to Trained well. Hospitality was good. Food was also good.

I visited hotel along with my friends for lunch buffet. The attitude of the staff at GAD was very rough. And the funny part is that they switched off there ACs so that guest leave early🤣. It was a very bad experience. I hope that the management will teach there staff a bit of wat is called a polite behaviour. Regards

I must say I was totally surprised by the in room dining service..they were really exceptional. I enjoyed the food. The only unhappy point was that I was given not so straight ocean view room even after request. May be the other rooms were occupied. However I really enjoyed the stay even though it was only for one night. They also have me an early breakfast with fresh juice and a sandwich at 5.45 AM. I really liked it. Thanks guys...

Good sea view room, warm & courteous staff, delicious breakfast & meals, served with personal care & choice & all safety norms followed in this pandemic! Made our marriage anniversary special by a lovely cake & decorated our room with balloons! Also packed our breakfast early in the morning as we had to travel by train to Araku valley. Very comfortable & enjoyable stay it was.

“The infrastructure of the hotel is amazing! The beach is very close, the hotel is on the first line and the access to the beach is very easy, straight from the hotel. The sweeping pool is huge and beautiful, jacuzzi are super clean and comfortable, the pool bar cocktails are the best ever, and the territory of the hotel in general is perfect. The room has a nice terrace with a beautiful sea view. We would definitely come back there! ”

The rooms are nicely maintained.Our's was a beach facing one so had a tranquilizing effect on us throughout our stay.We were a bit late for breakfast but most of the staff were welcoming enough.Service is really quick and responsive- I asked for an additional blanket and in comes the blanket in less than 5 minutes!Shower experience was superb!Sleep quality was awesome! Though a Valet parking could have been the icing on the cake,this property is worth recommending.

Indeed the best property in city but the people working inside make it excellent. Sankar, polarao, Surya kumari are perfect examples of hospitality. They treated me so well with amazing food and service, I appreciate their efforts & Sai Verma from front desk is very humble gentleman.i would like to thank you all for taking care of me so well and I'm looking forward to visit this property again.

Nice beach facing hotel.. Rates are reasonable too ..a blip was staff picked our cloths for laundry without permission in absence but apologized and did not charge.. Accommodative staffs allowed early check-in and late check-out.. Food is good.. Hygiene is good but can be improved especially being 5 star ( (saw a small roach on wall in the dinning area) ...Feels a bit dated from outside, inside is fine.

We had organized our baby 1st birthday party at the Taj Hotel (Vizag) & were very impressed with the entire experience. right from entering the premises, the arrangements were very apt, the welcome drink was an exotic blend of all fruits and was very refreshing, this was followed by Hot soup which all the guests loved & then came the starters & the main course. The food was delicious & seeing all our guests making repeated visits to refill was incredibly heartwarming. The chef has to be complimented for such amazing food. The service was also extremely good & the waiters were very friendly & courteous. Our guests left with a satisfied feeling & all in all the entire experience was very good.All credit for the party should go to Rambabu for recommending the menu & supervising the arrangements. I would also thank hotel staff Ramakrishna, Mallesh and Nayak for all their support .We are so glad that we chose this venue for our celebrations

Excellent hotel. Admirable staff and service, delicious breakfast and catering. Posh spacious and iconic rooms and hotel interior. Quiet and peaceful; one of the best hotels in vizag. Gym and pool icing on the cake, along with spectacular seaside scenery by the room windows.

Superb service by Rambabu(restaurant), Arvind & Pydibabu(at room service) and Ganesh at the front desk. I could not take the name of the House keeping person. The house keeping could not have been better. Food was great. Suggestions: Please have a local as in AP Handicraft store in place of the Kashmiri shop. I am not against Kashmiri shop, but in Vizag would love to see Andhra products. Secondly please have sound proof windows. Your staff made up for the infrastructure :-)

Everything was perfect. Excellent Stay. Booked Beach View Room. It was Fabulous. My Suggestion to Hotel is if you can provide a pair or two sandals for roaming inside the room. it would be better. In my case, there was no mat outside the bathroom, making me walk with wet legs after coming out of the washroom. Also, the room floor was slippery in that situation.

This best hotel with partial sea view also, breakfast is really awesome. You can easily walk from here to sea beach area. Spa is normal kinda and pool is there if you are group to enjoy. Hospitality is worth it.

Over rated 2 star hotel. We paid around 15000/- for two rooms for 1 night stay for our family. List of problems that we have faced in the hotel room. 1. First thing after entering is floor is dirty with stains and sand particles. I called them and they cleaned it after our check-in. 2. There was a leakage of bath water from bathing area to toilet area even though it has partition. Coming to force of the shower is horrible they just poked our skin even with a little force. 3. We booked our room “ocean view” side BUT we couldn’t see the view clearly because of the dust on the glass. What’s the point of mentioning “OCEAN VIEW” while booking? 4. In make my trip they mentioned there is a welcome drink but nothing was offered. Forget about welcoming, I have called the reception before day to inform about our early check-in as we already made a request while booking. One lady spoke with me sarcastically “we can’t make the guests check out early for you”. Instead of using that sentence she could have told me in a polite way. We paid extra for early check-in as well. 5. Kettle in the room was rusted couldn’t drink any hot drink because of that. Vijayawada Gateway is very good than this vizag one Finally not satisfied

Great hotel. Old property but maintained properly. The reception is little sloppy, wasted time to make my bill during checkout. I had seaview rooms, which was a great sight to wake up to in morning. Breakfast spread was good and service is fast.

Not so good. The protocols and the processes will not make you feel you are in a five star hotel Not comfortable with the reception during check in or check out. Lack of experience and hospitality has been seen in receiving the guests at all levels, still there is room for improvement. Furniture in room are with sharp edges like the cots and side tables and are a threat to kids. Not children friendly rooms.

While the room was fine however many things didn't work such as the fridge and the safe, which was not even bolted down and could just be carried away. We paid for a 3 bedroom room and the third bed arrived on a chipped army stretcher. The staff at the reception counter were nice but the staff at the bar are incredibly slow and rude and happy to rip you off if you aren't paying attention. The breakfast was the best part of the stay and was fantastic.
