Smelly, yes indeed it is but what do you get there is the fresh at a very low cost fish in this place. People absolutely need to have patience to go to this place. There are frsh fish which are brought from the sea and it will be given to the vendors who sells to the people come here. King fish you can get here for 250 INR/Fish. Tuna 2Kg for 200.

Extremely beautiful place. People also are very helpful. Early mornings are hustling and bustling with people running around, deals being made, boats arriving, fish being emptied off of the boat. Fishermen are starting their auctions and if you have good presence of mind you can get some extremely good deals. Do not drive your car into the market park it on the road and walk if not you can get badly stuck in the rush because the roads are narrow on top of that there will be transport vehicles moving up and down.

A fishing harbor is an arena of vibrant activity, where the allure of fresh fishes beckons. Amidst the hustle, one finds an array of seafood at astonishingly low prices. The daily spectacle of boats docking with their fresh catch, and the ensuing bargaining, is a cultural dance that never ceases to amaze. The harbors are not only a livelihood nucleus for fishermen but a realm where seafood aficionados can revel in the freshness of the ocean's bounty, without burning a hole in the pocket.

This is my 1st visit here, there are wide variety of sea food available here. We get them for half of the price in the market. If you have time and patience better visit and get them here. They are fresh out from the sea as well.

Various sea fish are available here which are mainly sold on wholesale basis. However, retail counters are also available. One can get fresh sea fish with little bargain. I didn't find anyone using weighing machines. Mainly the fish sold on plate basis 😀

The place is good only for photography. We went there to buy fishes on the assumption that direct buying from the harbour would be cheaper as compared to other markets. But the assumption got debunked. The rates charged by the sellers were exorbitant. It requires more cleanliness to attract tourists.

So many boats, millions of fishes. You can see at least hundreds of boats are queued up with full of different kind of fishes. Vendors are buying tons of fishes from them. The place is very much crowded and a bit dirty. You can buy the sea fishes in cheap price compared to the same in any city. If you can bargain, it’s good for you.

A totally unique place, if you don't hate fish and its foul smell, you think you can take it and won't vomit. Then you can visit there. All you will see is infinite fishes of different varieties, and vendors ready to sell them. And so many boats, maybe around 1000 of them.

Government Should Provide More Facilities. I am coming from near to Cochin Fisheries Harbour. Vishakapatnam Harbour is not at all neat and clean. It has the capacity to develop well. The fish caught by the fishermen are with excellent quality, The auction place is dirty. Government should provide good facilities to them. Neat and Clean Harbour is really looking forward

Great place to buy variety of fishes. It's like a wholesale market which sells fishes in the auction type. Dry dishes all are sold here. People who don't like smell of the fish should not come here as there are fishes on the floor itself.

The Fishing Harbour in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) is a bustling and vibrant hub where you can witness the lively activities of the local fishing community. Visitors often appreciate the energetic atmosphere, bustling with fishermen bringing in their catch, boats bobbing in the water, and the overall maritime culture on display. The fresh seafood available here is highly praised, making it a great spot to indulge in delicious, freshly caught meals. However, some travelers mention that the area can get a bit crowded and suggest being cautious around the busy docks. Overall, it's a fascinating place to experience the local fishing lifestyle and savor some fantastic seafood.

Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbor is a gem on the coast of the Bay of Bengal, offering an unforgettable experience for seafood lovers. As one of the largest fishing ports in the region, it boasts a vast array of fish, crabs, and other seafood delights. The availability of dry fish adds to the charm. The fishermen and fish traders at the harbor are incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or just curious about the fishing industry, this place is a must-visit destination. 🐟🦀🌊🐚😋

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a fishing harbor, and it was a delightful experience. The harbor's picturesque location by the sea created a serene and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the beauty of nature. The harbor was well-maintained and organized, with dedicated areas for fishing boats, a bustling fish market, and various seafood restaurants offering fresh catches of the day. Watching the skilled fishermen return with their haul was fascinating and provided insight into their daily lives. The harbor's facilities were impressive, including clean restrooms, ample parking space, and even designated spots for recreational fishing. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist visitors with any inquiries or fishing equipment needs. One highlight of the visit was interacting with local fishermen and learning about their experiences at sea. They were more than willing to share their knowledge, which added an authentic touch to the overall experience. The variety of seafood available at the fish market was outstanding. From the catch-of-the-day to a wide selection of fresh shellfish, the choices were endless. I couldn't resist indulging in a delicious seafood meal at one of the harbor's restaurants, which further enhanced my connection to the maritime culture. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the fishing harbor, I must mention that the weather conditions can be unpredictable, so it's advisable to come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear. Overall, my visit to the fishing harbor was a memorable one. The charm of the place, the friendliness of the locals, and the delectable seafood made it a worthwhile trip. Whether you are an avid fisherman or someone looking for a unique coastal experience, I highly recommend adding a fishing harbor visit to your bucket list.

It is one of the largest fishing harbour of India. Although it's very dirty and stinky, it has huge stock of fresh and dry fishes. One can visit the port to see the loading and unloading of big fishing ships.

The best place in vizag to get 100% fresh fish right from the boat. You get each and every type of sea food here. Sunday early mrng is the busiest time here.

It is very crowded and not recommended during this covid time. Else, it is a good place for buying various varieties of sea food. Freshness is not guaranteed and one has to be cautious while buying sea food.

Best place in Visakhapatnam to look for fresh sea food delivered at this "always in rush" Harbour. Any kind of sea fish, you name it, it will be there. The only thing that's bad about this place is that it's full of fish smell 24/7, be careful not even N95 can save u 😂.Posting some videos and pics go have a look.

It's good but don't get to any expectations... , Locals told me that the place will stink with smell but it's not that bad I say.... There will be speed boat which is 200/-per person and it fits 8 people though it is waste as per my view! There are lots of seafood if you want to buy and cook. I can say it's only one visit place.

Find a wide variety of fishes like Tuna, oil sardines, seer fishes, Goat fishes........, Very crowded especially in Sundays A very large number of fishing boats is located here for fish catching And also it's very helpful place for students those who are studying marine biology and fisheries and other marine courses for their field work First of all we face a lot of smell which is coming from dry fishes A wide range of dry fishes are available here like anchovies, dry prawns (small in size), sardines...., Here we can see some type of research vessels like FSI (Fishery Survey of India) vessels and some type of cargo ships for transport the materials from one place to another place My suggestion to all visit this place once when you are coming to vishakapatnam.

Visakhapatnam fishing harbor may be Andhra Pradesh largest fishing harbor and when we pass through the area in the early hours, the area will be crowded with fishermen, merchants and people coming to buy fish. We can see a number of fishing boats in the back waters and in the sea too while crossing the Rk Beach. The area is famous for fishing and whole sale and retail sale of fishes.

Fishing Harbor is a Harbor for the fishing boats ⛵ and also a very huge fish 🎏🐟 market. We get fresh fish, Shrimp, Crabs & other sea food for a minimum 50% less compared to the other local fish market's, like the one we have near the old jail road. And also wide variety of dry fish. This is a tourist spot also. We can take children to show the fishing trawlers/boat's. We can see a beautiful view of the port towards the south side. Smell of the fish 🐟🎏 will be in the air. So be prepared for the smell and then visit the place.

My visit to the fishing harbor was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, with boats coming in and out of the harbor and fishermen unloading their catch of the day. The sight of the colorful boats bobbing on the water against the backdrop of the clear blue sky was truly picturesque. The hustle and bustle of the harbor made for a fascinating spectacle, with fishermen working hard to sort, clean, and prepare their fresh catch. The harbor was also a great place to try out some fresh seafood. There were plenty of restaurants and food stalls nearby serving up a variety of delicious dishes made from the catch of the day. The aroma of grilled fish and seafood wafting through the air was simply irresistible! Apart from the food, the fishing harbor was also a great place to learn about the local fishing industry and the techniques used by the fishermen. The friendly locals were always happy to share their knowledge and stories with visitors, making for a truly immersive experience. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to this fishing harbor. Whether you're a seafood lover or simply looking for an interesting cultural experience, the fishing harbor is a must-visit destination. The sights, sounds, and smells of the harbor will stay with you long after your visit is over.
