This is basically a marine aquarium located near RK Beach, Vizag. Various marine fishes are available there in different aquariums. Size of some fishes are very big and maximum number of fishes are imported. You can gather knowledge about the fishes by reading the detailed boards attached with the aquariums. You have to pay ₹ 50/- per person to visit this place. If you want to take photographs using camera you have to pay extra ₹ 50/-. Photography and videography using mobile phone is allowed inside and it is not chargeable.

There's lots of fish and other aquatic beings to look for. Very good variety of fishes like Piranha, tiger shark, turtles and more. So if you love fishes then you can visit this place. It takes hardly 15 minutes to see all. 🐟🐠🐡🐟 Entry fees is also reasonable and it's allowed to take pictures with mobile phones.

This aquarium is opposite to Ramakrishna breach and is a must visit. The aquarium houses diverse marine life in a small space. However, you may notice repition with some fish types. It does seem like the last renovation took place quite some time ago and begs for a revamp. The experience could have been better and more immersive. Right now it just looks like a big fish bowl.

Matsyagandha or Matsya Darshan place is also located on the RK Beach road, this place is a small museum and deserves much better infrastructure and cleanliness. This place would, however, definitely be loved by children. The entire tour would take approximately 30 minutes. The entrance is very odd in the sense that things are clumsy, unattractive and poorly maintained. Though fish variety is good but more varities should be included. Cons: Very dark inside; more lighting needed. Suffocating feeling with poor air conditioning. Repetitive fishes at few places. Ticket prices are on the higher side - adult@30 and children@20. Camera ticket@20. Pros: Descriptive information of fish variety Good hangout place

Our family recently visited the aquarium, and while we had a decent time, there were some aspects that left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. The ambience of the place was not up to par with our expectations. Upon entering, we noticed that the overall atmosphere could use some updating to create a more immersive experience. The décor and layout seemed a bit outdated, which impacted our overall enjoyment. The lack of modern touches made it difficult to fully engage with the exhibits. However, we did appreciate the variety of aquatic life on display. The diverse collection of species was impressive, and it was fascinating to observe the different marine creatures. The highlight of our visit was seeing the marine life up close and learning about their habitats and behaviors. While the ambience may not have been ideal, the educational aspect of the visit was still valuable, especially for our children. The informative signs provided interesting facts about the different species, helping us to learn more about marine life and conservation efforts

Explored the Matsya Darshini Aquarium in Vishakapatnam with my buddy. Entry fee is Rs. 50 per visitor. The initial sections with fish and turtles were impressive, but unfortunately, many tanks were filthy and uncleaned. Some were even empty. 😕 Ventilation was a major issue – no windows or doors open, making it kind of suffocating. Poor maintenance truly took away from the potential charm of this place. 🐟🚫

The aquarium is in re-modelling phase, but we couldn't see if it has even started. The inside is dingy with very poor lighting and damp walls and fungus in places. No maintenance and cleanliness of the aquarium also. Overall, a total disappointment. Would advice people not to visit untill re-modelling.

Situated at the coastal region of Visakhapatnam city, close to RK beach, I never had the opportunity to witness something like that. You can witness the collection of wide ranges of fish species, turtles and others at one place. Trust me,you won't be disappointed and this place is very well maintained. Sharing few pics of the kinds of fishes are been kept here for public.

Not satisfied with the area Entry fee is too much high. For Adults it is Rs. 50/-. Just waste of money .but good for children. They will very much happy if you bring them. Area is also very small. Overall bad experience. AP tourism must look into this. Every place there is entry fee and it is too high. There is some collection of fish, sharks etc. May visit this place. But I suggest take it as a optinal. If you have enough time you can plan it.A must visit place for your child.

An initiative of the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Matsyadarshini is a beautiful aquarium and houses countless species of fresh and salt water marine life captured in glass tanks. The Aquarium, established on the shore of Ramakrishna beach, has many marine varieties include the long horn cow fish, butterfly fishes, surgeon major, peacock wrasse, the lion fish, stone fish, red squirrel fish, perch dusky, trigger fish, clown fish, damsels, sweet lip rabbit fish, angels, electric ray, porcupine fish and many more. Matsyadarshini also has in its credit uncommon marine invertebrates. The carpet anemones, starfishes in different colors, tentacle anemones in white and orange, sea anemones in varying colors are all gives a pleasant view.

50/- per adult and 20/- per child ( didn't check the max. age criterion for children) - gives you quite a good experience, though it can be better. In some of the smaller tanks, many big sized fishes have been grouped - it looked quite crowded. They could be moved to bigger and empty thanks. Overall, it's good and full of edutainment .

The aquarium is very old...very few varities of fish. Not at all worth it for even 50 rupees of ticket price. Many of its tanks are under maintenance and many closed doors too. Even the tanks look very old with the tiles inside broken and the glass isnt even clear for few tanks. Few tanks have same repeated fish. This was a very nice place back in 2010s.i heard that it was build almost 30 years backs. So..I don't think anyone cared to rebuild and maintain the aquarium, which is sad.

It’s in Visakhapatnam beach road.. Don’t go with high expectations as many of the fishes are easily available in almost all the aquarium shop & you can watch them there in free of cost.. If you are visiting with your kids than they may like it..
