This is the biggest cave in India. It is very well maintained, there are spots which are also 2 floors above in cave itself. It is nice cool place, many limestone formations. Cleanliness is maintained. Good lighting is done throughout the cave. It is slippery at places due to water seepage but that is natural and no one can do anything about it. Carry enough water inside. Also make use of dustbins kept inside to throw your litter. Outside the cave there are lots of shops selling souvenirs, eatables but there are lot of monkeys as well. If you take something to eat, ensure you eat at shop itself. Just 100 metres before the cave there are small restaurants serving good food, both veg and non veg. Bamboo chicken being the specialty here. They serve authentic bamboo chicken. Borra caves are closed for entry from 1 pm to 2 pm, but if you are inside cave before 1 pm you can continue to stay inside

An amazing cave, definitely visit if you come to Vizag. This cave will be on the way to Araku Valley. Inside the cave you will also find a Shiva temple which is amazing. If you want to buy something for your loved ones, you will also find the local market. Coffee is available here at low cost and can be bought if needed. I have attached some pictures below.

Avoid if you are scared of depth or caves. Otherwise, enjoy the colorful cave and the dripping water(be careful, due to the dripping water, sometimes the stairs are wet and slippery). Anyways it's beautiful and the river beside is a beautiful view as well. You can find many roadside crafts vendors, may be you can consider a little souvenir. Enjoy your trip.

Entry only you will get lots of Food options. Flooded with Bamboo Biryani & Chicken Sheekh Kebabs in every Stalls. The place is too crowded and one needs to have good stamina to go down deep into the Caves via stairs & return back. Lots of walking required. Please carry water bottles. Children should be taken proper care of by their parents inside the cave. Too much time consuming also so one has to have enough time to visit this place. Note : Elderly people & people with walking issues, please avoid visiting this place. Better check my pictures which are given in detail for better understanding of the place. Parking is also an issue unless n until someone knows the place very well. Please beware of Monkeys 🙀 and try to not involve with them. Stalls have good options for Coconut 🥥 water. Plus lots of Restaurants are also available in 1 km range for Breakfast & Lunch options. So overall it's a one day trip and if you are with friends then it's the best place to go for fun & enjoyment 👍

It was one of my first experience going inside a cave. It was pretty good. It has proper lighting and has been cleaned recently so there is no garbage or anything inside. It was quite cool inside and you could see the patterns formed on rocks due to constant dripping of water on them. Would love to visit again. Do ensure that you wear proper footwear as the inside area is totally wet and slippery...........!!!Would love to visit again. This place is super awesome and must visit if you are in Andhra Pradesh. Lightning system and illumination was inaugurated by Dr. Mrs J Geeta Reddy, Hon Minister for Tourism in 1992 which is amazing and makes it one of the largest cave in the country at an elevation of 705 m. It's really worth of money.

So, in the afternoon, went to this beautiful. Firstly, in my mind I have a perception that it will be a normal cave. "But", when I visited this place, I was shocked by the beauty of this place. It's about 1300 m deep from the ground level. The place was just so beautiful & elegant. Inside, the cave there is a small & a beautiful temple, where you have to climb some stairs. Also, the lightings there are so catchy. (⭐out of 5) Cleanliness- ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Place-⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Recommended-⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Food Availability- Yes Yes, the food stalls are available. Especially, try "Bamboo Biryani" there. They are so tasty & delicious.

These limestone caves, characterized by stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations, offer a surreal underground experience. The natural formations within the caves are often creatively named, adding to the intrigue of the visit. As you explore the labyrinthine pathways, marvel at formations like "Shiva-Parvati," "Mother-Child," and "Human Brain." The play of light and shadow within the caves enhances their ethereal beauty. Borra Caves, with their rich geological history and enchanting formations, provide a unique and memorable adventure for nature enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. There will network issues only some mobile operators will have signal there.

Borra Caves offers a mesmerizing journey into nature's artistry. The cave formations are truly awe-inspiring, with stalactites and stalagmites creating surreal landscapes. The guided tour provides fascinating insights into the geological wonders. The cave's cool ambiance adds to the enchantment. However, infrastructure could be improved for a more comfortable visit. Despite this, Borra Caves is a must-visit destination, blending adventure with the marvels of Mother Nature in a unique and unforgettable experience.

One of my first times inside a cave was then. It was fairly impressive. It has adequate lighting and has just been cleaned, so nothing or anything is inside. The interior was extremely chilly, and you could see the patterns that the constant water pouring on the rocks had left on them. Would adore coming back. Please make sure you are wearing appropriate footwear, as the interior is very damp and slick. Would adore coming back. Spent a couple of hours here and loved it! I came here in my childhood when there was no lighting or guide rails, so we could in theory go anywhere, but we couldn't because it is too dark and hard so compared to that, the current setup makes it a lot more accessible though less natural.

Greetings, companions! Recently, I had the pleasure of exploring Borra Caves alongside my family. This captivating destination is nestled in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Undoubtedly, Borra Caves proved to be a delightful spot to revel in. The local sightseeing opportunities were truly awe-inspiring, although initially, one may experience a sense of trepidation and unease. In close proximity to Borra Caves, there were numerous hotels offering reasonable prices, and the caves themselves were conveniently located near Araku Valley. It is important to exercise caution while traversing the caves, as the staircase can be quite intimidating. However, the climate within the caves was refreshingly cool and melodious. It is worth noting that elderly individuals may find it challenging to navigate the caves, but those in middle age should be able to manage. Additionally, one may encounter a variety of bats and monkeys, which can be slightly unnerving. Nevertheless, overall, the experience was exceptional, and Borra Caves truly proved to be a remarkable and thrilling destination. In light of my adventure, I highly recommend that everyone pays a visit to this exhilarating location.

A great place to visit and enjoy the beauty and power of water flowing through and under these rocks which has shaped this formation over thousands of years. Phatways and lighting arrangements done by authorities have increased its beauty. Weekends and Public holidays are damn crowded and it's preferable to go and enjoy it during weekdays. Don't forget to enjoy Bamboo chicken after visiting the caves.

Borra caves, Borra Caves are home to million-year-old stalactite and stalagmite formations. Perched at an elevation of 1,400 m above sea level. We have visited on weekend and the place is really majestic, its can’t be described in words. Parking is available outside the entry point, you may get the ticket cost 80₹ per person. They accept online payment as well. Different sovereign shops are there on the way to cave, mostly made from wood by local tribes

Borra caves are a great tourist attraction about 90kms from Visakhapatnam. It's 150 million years old and over the period stalagmites and stalactites have been formed. The famous bamboo chicken is available on the pathway leading to the caves. Beware of the monkeys as they may snatch away bottle or snacks. While the caves are wonderful to walk, better public management would have enhanced the experience. They were tourists who would make loud noises. The most distracting are the colourful spotlights. They change colours every few seconds and we cannot appreciate the caves well. It would be nice if the authorities focus on just one kind of colour - white or translucent yellow. Even the pictures will come out well.

It is a must visit place when you are at Araku. Do spare 4 to 5 hrs for this spot so that u can go deep into the caves. There is also a zipline for u to experience. It costs 500 per head. There are numerous stalls and many items to shop. We also tried bamboo chicken and it tasted too good.

Borra Caves in Araku Valley is a geological wonder. They are naturally formed. Usually in the ancient times the're must be a water flow under these rocks which made the proper curves and cutting edges. And the water and rock materials undergoes chemical reaction and forms different vibrante colors and the rocks naturally, this is how the borra caves might have formed and today being one of the most beatiful caves in india. There is small temple inside the cave, you need to climb on iron upstairs which is very narrow that only single person can climb up at a time to reach the top for dharshan. While Usually this place is heavily crowded all the time escpecially during public holidays and weekends. It's advisable to plan your visit during weekdays or early morning to avoid larger crowds. The entry fee is reasonable. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. The beautiful hanging rock formations and the stunning rising formations inside the caves make this journey well worth the visit. The combination of efficient facilities, manageable queues, reasonable ticket prices, and the sheer beauty of the caves makes Borra Caves a must-visit destination in the scenic Araku Valley. My overall rating 10/10.

Borra Caves has been maintained and managed well by the Andhra Pradesh tourism body. Good part is the caves are clean from the inside and people haven't spoilt them over the years. Word of caution: I hear that visiting the caves on the weekend may leave you stuck either outside or inside the caves for 30s of minutes.

Borra Caves, a cave which is situated in Visakhapatnam District in Andhra Pradesh. It has an elevation of about 705m. We went there in October to see the place. It was an outstanding place especially the lights which were fallen. Once a cow forgot its way and lost there in Borra Caves. After three days, the cow was found by the owner. From then, it was named Borra Caves.

Worth visiting. Remember to carry charge. 80 rupees per ticket. Be prepared for the rude behaviour of the staff. Parking is free but very far away. You need to walk. Carry water as it would take nearly 1- two hours to see the cave. Lots of souvenirs shops are available. A tender coconut shop is also available. A below average restaurant is at the restaurant. Reach early hours otherwise you need to wait until 2 pm sometimes. Use masks to protect from the foul smell as well as to prevent probable pathogens carried by bats entering your lungs.
