You get what you pay for. Do not expect 5 star hotel rooms or amenities. We got a sea view room for 4000INR pr day. Hotel is pretty close to the beach and other attractions. Our room has a decent view. Happy for the price we paid. Hospitality and breakfast are top notch

Great location, clean room and very good service. All the staffs are incredibly helpful and generous. We travelled with 1 year old son and are little worried about how to give him home food, but the moment we checked with chef, he said he will do it the way we want and he delivered to my room in an half an hour. The food was really awesome, my baby liked that so much that he eat everything in one go. Thank You Chef and ITC.

The hotel is located close to the RK Beach but you need to be fit to walk up a slope while coming back. The breakfast is fab and the food overall is pretty good. The staff is courteous and professional. The rooms are a bit smallish but comfortable.

Welcomhotel Devee Grand Bay Visakhapatnam. My visit to the property was a family vacation for two adults and 2 kids. 1. I gratitude the staff to be very supportive all through our stay and accepting early check-in request. 2. The property is less than half a Km from RK beach, opposite Novotel hotel, and has easy access to all surrounding sightseeing places. 3. On the 1st day of my visit 1/June, some AC service work was going on and the front desk guy told me that AC will not be working we thought we could manage bet 1st day was unbearable. But the next day everything was resolved. 4. I think the hotel is going through some renovation some rooms are terrible, but on my complaint reception staff was happy to immediately shift to a different room. (ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED) 5. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of food & very friendly staff. 6. The swimming pool has a beautiful view of the beach and a lifeguard is always present there and gives you the confidence to leave your kids alone. 7. The refrigerator in my room was not working so complain a few times and housekeeping staff Lakshmi immediately got it replaced. 8. The food is very expensive if you wish to order apart from the buffet. Overall a very good experience.👍🏻

Loved every bit of our stay here. The property is small, but they'll take extra care to ensure you have a great experience. We got a free room upgrade and a nice cake, and room decoration to celebrate our anniversary. They also never say 'NO' to any request. Special mention for chef Mukti and Prakash from F&B. We checked in at an odd time, and ordered two meals from the in-room dining menu. The food presentation and taste was out of this world.

Nothing very luxurious about the place. Had high hopes, which were left wanting. Welcome group standards have been really a sham looking at this property. Located near the beach front is a good plus. Reception, service, room quality, food all are a mixed bag with average ratings. There are other similar star hotels in the vicinity offering much more at similar pricing. The rooms are only stacked with bare minimum basic toiletries.. not expected of a group boasting multiple 5 star property.

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest! Each and every employee we communicated with were excellent in their behaviour and attentiveness. Food quality, spread is excellent. Rooms are very cozy, have all modern amenities. Our anniversary celebration turned out to be excellent because of ITC. Thank you to each one of you.

Please carry tooth brush, shaving blade, tooth paste along with you, Hotel doesn't serve these in rooms. Food was good, need lot of improvement in service. Staff were polite, Decent size rooms. Better options available in same locality such as gateway or novotel.

The hotel is in a walkable distance to the beach. I had a dinner with my family and friends. The food is very tasty with many varieties. Friendly staff. Most exciting part is Live music. We thoroughly enjoyed.

Awesome luxury hotel in an amazing location with delicious food and excellent service. Ocean view from the large glass pane windows is fantastic. The rooms are well furnished with very comfortable seating and beds. Bathroom amenities were very nice and everything was well thought of and taken care of. The food at the hotel restaurants was delicious and room service was very quick. We had a memorable and comfortable stay here and looking forward to returning again in the future.

The staff are inexperienced and under trained. They do not know how to treat their guests right. I had called the front desk for help with the wifi credentials, the person at the front desk impolitely responded saying, please call back later and disconnected the call so I tried calling back multiple times and everytime she either cut the call or picked the receiver and disconnected it. Also yesterday, I couldn't go down for breakfast because I was down with a 101° fever so I had requested the hotel to send some food to my room but they bluntly denied my request inspite of informing them that I'm not in the state to leave the room and come down for breakfast they didn't seem to care. We offered to pay them a service charge for sending it to the room but that also was denied. Really disappointed with the way the hotel behaved with me.

I was staying in their suite. Overall, a very tired property. Everything about the place makes you feel you're in a place that's maintained with half a heart. Linen in the rooms feel very weathered.. Swimming pool looks like it's never been cared for in the last 20 odd years.. Sea view from my room was decent but quite limited due to Novotel just in front and Gateway hotel on the other side. Service is very slow, if at all you get thru to them.

Me and my wife stayed about 5 Nights in the hotels, we booked a deluxe room but we had a good Sea View from the Room. The room service was quick and clean, they offered us everything we need. The breakfast was so delicious with plethora of cuisines and daily order dinner into our room the quality was of a 5-Star level, thanks to the Chefs. The ambience and location was worth our stay.

Many things needed to improve 1. No covered parking and no guest receiving like other premium hotels 2. We got alloted a room where work was going on and is full of dust We dont expect such kind of things from such a kind of hotels. I love ITC and but not satisfied with the stay here

Good hotel but with closed environment. Only a small open space along pool side. Very basic pool, changing room is under ground with Gym. Spa and jacuzzi were non functional during my stay. Breakfast spread was vast and tasty. Whole Staff was good. They also gave me early check-in for two rooms.. Thanks

Good hotel with nice ambience and maintenance. Located close to the beach, but doesn't have the best beach view. Costly as expected, breakfast is not the best I have tasted.

There was musty smell all around the hotel. It was so bad in our room that we had to take inhalers multiple times the first night. It was terrible. I think the rooms didn’t have AC running before we were in the room. The first night was terrible. When we complied they booked us to another room which was better but the same smell chased us in the hallways. And also they charged an extra 4000 a day for the non-smelly room that they put us in. The people were pretty good overall. The best part is the food. The kitchen was awesome. The breakfast was the best part. Rest was below average. Will not stay there again though. :(

My stay was excellent. Right from the security person at the entrance to the reception desk, the service and courteousness was impeccable. Room was spotless and nice. I hope to stay here again with my family.

Stayed there for a couple of days in Oct 2023. Had a wonderful time. The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the sea and a 3-4 minute downhill walk to the beach. Service, especially in the Cafe and in the restaurant, was very good. Special mention of Mr. Durga who seemed to go out of his way to make us comfortable, particularly my mother, who is a senior citizen. Housekeeping staff were also very efficient and helpful. The check in process was smooth and expeditious thanks to the hotel taking the initiative of asking for our ID proofs in advance. The breakfast buffet was varied and offered many options, including North Indian, South Indian and Continental cuisine. The room service food was also to our taste. The only small hitch in an otherwise perfect stay was the night light and tv not working in our mother's room. While the TV was replaced the following day, the hotel cd not do anything abt the night light. While it is a small issue, it mattered a little bit to us as it was an elderly person's room. She needs a light at night and she tried various other combinations of lights but they were either too bright or too dim. Otherwise, a great stay. Not only will we like to stay there again but will also highly recommend it to others visiting VIzag 👍

I have stayed at this Hotel couple of times for almost a week each time. Good food. Good service. Professionally managed. The Hotel is 5 minutes away from the Sea. If you are lucky you will be able to get a sea view from the room. If you love fish curry then don’t miss cuisine from Dakshin restaurant. It is class apart. I have not found that quality and taste anywhere in Vishakapatnam Highly recommended for business and leisure stay.

Don't know if it was the same for every room or only for us but the service was sub par. We have been to multiple ITC Welcome hotels in different cities and even the ITC luxury hotels and I have to say this the one with the poorest service. There wasn't a shaving kit in the bathroom, there was only one dental kit when occupancy was for two and we had to call room service for these basic things. Taste of the buffet breakfast was average. At around 9:45 A.M during the buffet, they ran out of pancake batter but instead of telling us outright, the two waiters whom we asked started avoiding us. It wasn't until around 10:20 that a waitress had the sense to let us know that we had been waiting in vain. Running out of batter is understandable (though not when you claim to be a 4 star hotel) but keeping us waiting like idiots is not. Rest is all fine. Rooms are good. Pool is well maintained and location is nearby to most places

Google maps would confuse you at the entry point, other wise accurate. I was happy with my stay. Beach is at a walking distance. Service is good. Food in the Cafe good. Staff very cooperative. Overall good experience. Value for money.

We had a get together of our Alumni during my Last Visit. Since all my NRI friends travelled from different location of the world. I was a bit nervous thinking the standards and tensed whether they would like it or not. But believe me, the moment we entered the Hotel premises, we had a very pleasant ambience and home like feel. The Best Part is the Beach View, we all had a huge crush on beach since childhood. We felt like, we were back to LIFE after all the stressed out Work Life Balance and bla blaa blaaa. Believe me, you will never regret this place. Its really awesome. VALUE for MONEY. Note: You may get confused while tracing out the entry point for this Hotel.

Hotel, Service, Location, Rooms, everything is good. Cozy beds give you quality sleep. One thing, it's my personal view, I was expecting a bigger room but the room was not so small. Overall experience is good. I will definitely visit the hotel on my next trip and recommend others can visit.

The location and view was great. The rooms and public places looks tired and I guess that's the result of tourism industry getting back on their feet after the pandemic. The breakfast was ok but coffee could have been better. Very enthusiastic staff both at restaurant and front desk.

Hi..this is Purnima...I am not writing about my stay ... I just want to bring yo your notice that...while conducting exhibitions like furniture etc..please be careful...I have ordered one sofa set in that exhibition from apple furniture stall conducted in your hotel...I paid 50% amount in the month of march 2021...till today furniture not delivered to me ... no refund also...they didn't even picking my calls...sometimes by mistake if they answer also..they will tell some stories and escape... I am going to give a police complaint also...but personally I like grand bay...so only with that concern I am bringing this to your knowledge..

I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay . The staff was very welcoming and made my stay homely. I specially thank bhagya from house keeping for all her efforts and great service to make my stay very comfortable.

Pathetic experience. Ordered lunch and they haven't served even soup till 1hr. Also the place lacks hygiene. Tables are not clean. Had to ask the waiter to clean. No table cloth. Not a single thing about the place resembled star hotel. You guys really need to improve.

Pathetic Service. We have checked in for 3 people but we have been requesting for extra bed for past 2 hours. No response from the Reception. We requested for towel, glasses etc. but no response. I can’t believe I am staying in ITC. First stay with ITC and a 3rd class experience. No wonder you people seek the payment before hand. Cheap services.

We stayed for 3 nights in the hotel. The location of the hotel is good and the staff is very polite and friendly. The reception area is also very nice. However we did not like ending up in a smoking floor though we requested for non-smoking rooms. On the second day my son was feeling cold but the room temp did not come down with the AC being ON. So we stopped the AC only to get the smell of cigarettes in the room. Twice we came out of elevators to be greeted with the cigarette smell in the lobby. The room condition was not good. The room mirror, bathroom basin and bath tub are in bad condition. I will not stay in this hotel again. Better find other options nearby.

It's beautiful property . The rooms are old fashioned but service is too good. There was limited options for food but it was tasty. It's near by sea and we got sea view rooms , so the overall experience was good.

Despite reviewing it poorly once, couldn’t stop myself from writing a review again. We booked this hotel being an ITC property only to realise it is Much Much below the standards of a 3 STAR hotel. Initially, food was offered to us in a dungeon which was later changed to the main restaurant. However, the other services are as drab as everything else in this hotel. The only nice people in this hotel is the HOUSEKEEPING staff. Laundry - please avail laundry services only if you are planning to stay for a few days so that you can get it back also. I gave my clothes for ironing which I didn’t receive till 18 hrs. Had to wear old clothes then. Dining - the breakfast spread is restricted to south Indian cuisine. Budget Hotels like IBIS serve much more variety than this hotel. To top it all, their hotel staff doesn’t understand what courtesy is. At the main desk, a staff named Miss SURUCHI showed rude attitude. First of all she didn’t have a know how of the hotel and when approached with an issue, she would put the blame on the guest for their drab services. This is HUMILIATING. And yes, she may say that she’ll come back to you with any query….. but she won’t. A big disappointment to know that with so less occupancy in hotel, they are not able to provide the hospitality as expected from a ITC hotel. The staff is incapable & rude. My suggestion, there are other excellent hotels like TAJ GATEWAY & NOVOTEL. Our friends who stayed there shared excellent reviews. So book them to avail better services. Please DO NOT BOOK GRAND BAY HOTEL.

Went for Sunday brunch with family. Did not book in advance still got seated immediately. Food is just too too good. Can't have enough be it salads, starters, main course or desserts. There was live music, magician , tattoo artist and balloon artist so more fun for kids!! Location is bang opposite to beach. There is a viewing deck too.

Good hotel... Staff were friendly... Food quality was good but it was not replinished frequently... Also, please don't keep the salads next to or on top of the non-veg items... One has to literally reach over to get them... Very inconvenient and insensitive to vegetarians... Floor managers in the restaurant need more training... Also, front desk must ask the guests if smoking room or non-smoking rooms are preferred... 3rd floor is smoking room and it was reeking of cigarettes

We booked a delux room and it was upgraded to executive room with sea side view. It was a awesome experience staring from cleanliness, to staff attendance, and dining experience. Also, the breakfast option was presented with sumptuous food options. Any excess food was also packed per request. Moreover they have doctor on call to attend anytime needed. Overall really liked the stay. 👍😀

Had an amazing time at WelcomHotel @Grand Bay. Buffet was great but the desserts were what truly made it! The staff and service were exceptional too (so much better than the snobs at other "luxury" hotels). Would totally recommend for a family outing.

Dakshin , a restuarant in hotel serves food very very late . After waiting for more than one and half hour got burnt Apam served , sambar that tastes like water and Masala Dosa with hardly any masala in it . Overall a very bad experience.

Installed the fan after expressing my voice. Excluding this odd experience the other experiences were satisfactory. I had high hopes from the hotel but maybe the selection of this hotel for our vacation was bad. Have better options nearby.

Excellent stay. Stayed there for 3 nights. I never never experienced such hospitality and nice behaviour from any hotel ever. Really..hats off ITC. Staffs are very well behaved, trained and so friendly. Their service is what i am going to remember. Every small requirement has been taken care. If not available in hotel, they arranged it from outside. Rooms could have been a bit spacious and there should be a car cleaning service (paid or free) for the visitors. Another thing i must mention is their breakfast. So many delicious option in buffet to indulge in. Ambience is good and chef took a feedback of live kitchen. A memorable stay..

Rooms are perfect. We choose sea view facing. We did swimming. Food, ambience are awesome. Nearby u can walk down to see submarine museum ,aircraft museum ,aquarium & many more food stalls

Dinner at Oceanic Pavilion: Buffet (6/10): A very ok-Ish spread, consisted of 80% Indian Cuisine and 20% other cuisines. Most dishes on the menu was cold. Chicken Schnitzel (7.5/10): It was good, but not the best I’ve had. Grilled Stuffed Chicken (6/10): The jus was average, the chicken was not moist, and the mashed potatoes weren’t creamy as mentioned. Overall a very average experience. Service (6.5/10): Three people run the restaurant and run from pillar to post to keep guests happy, definitely needs a little more experienced staff.
