Very beautiful museum of three floors and each floors artifacts are completely different from other floors. I visited this museum in February and it is one of the most visited museum and tourist attraction in vizag. Ticket price is 10 rupees for adults and 5 rupees for children. You have to walk a lot in this museum but chairs are available to rest. Overall must visit place in vizag.

the medieval universities and their teaching collections to support medical education — the physic, or botanical, garden (hortus medicus) and the anatomical theatre (theatrum anatomicum). The first hortus medicus was established in Italy in either Padua or Pisa in the 1540s and the first theatrum anatomicum in Padua in 1594 for the purpose of educating both the apothecaries and doctors.[14] In the beginning of the 17th century, anatomical theaters were established at the universities of Bologna, Ferrara, Leiden and Montpellier.[12] There are records that document the use of Pisa’s hortus medicus opened in the 1590s as a teaching museum.[15] Soon, the teaching museum model was adopted by painters, sculptors, and architects. The cabinets of physics and chemistry followed the suit.[12] At the University of Oxford, the picture gallery of Christ Church College was founded in 1546. In 1671, the University of Basel granted public access to the Basilius Amerbach’s cabinet, which was donated by the city of Basel.

A Nice place to visit. Vaisakha Museum consists of three blocks; one for maritime history, one for art and culture and one for human civilization. The displays in all the categories are very interesting and the collection is also varied. A place to see all naval history, small warships, submarines, missiles used during naval warfare, flags used to communicate between two ships. Along with this there is another building which has the history of Vizag. Ancient coins, corals, various guns and swords are preserved here. Also there are palanquins, armor of kings, old wall clocks etc. Special attraction is the longest 2 km long flag preserved here. Entry ticket is Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for children. Friday is a holiday. Timings Monday to Thursday: 11 am to 7 pm. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays.

The second building with architecture is not that great as not much to see. The museum is really interesting with all details mentioned properly.

Collection isn't that great. But worst part is a very important artefact, a stone inscription noting the changing of the region's name to Kulotunga Cholapatnam in 11th century by a general under the Chola king Kulotunga has been left outside without any care. Apart from these there is some little collection, one can go without any expectations or when they haven't visited any good museums.

The museum has several blocks, one for maritime history, for art and culture and for human civilization as well. The displays in all the sections are very interesting and the collection is diverse too. There's no photography allowed and in case you have luggage along with you, they let you keep it in the security room as well. Special attractions include the ship structures that have been presented by other countries, coins collection, types of forests, grasslands and their setup, grand paintings, the longest flag 2km long (wrapped and placed) and a lot more things to see. Tickets are for just 10 Rupees

Ramakrishna Beach also known as R K Beach is situated on the east coast of Bay of Bengal in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is located near Dolphin's Nose....
