It was an amazing experience. I loved it, although the roads are very curvy. It is worth the visit. Definitely recommend that you visit it once. Also u can plan for a day trip n visit nearby places there. N don't forget to eat the bamboo chicken and sweet corn! Although the taste is deteriorating day by day!

A great location at 1620 m, to view the serene beauty and the rolling verdant hillsides of the Araku Valley. The views are breathtaking and the photo opportunities are plenty. All along the few 100 metres of the view point one can savour the freshly-prepared 'BONGU CHICKEN', the delicacy of the region. Succulent marinated and well-spiced chicken pieces are introduced into the hollow of a bamboo stem and cooked over a coal fire. The location is ALWAYS crowded with tourists.

Happiness of spending some time at Galikonda view point between Araku and Ananthagiri and enjoying the beautiful surrounding deep valleys get enhanced during mansoon. The hot bhutta (maize) and chicken sticks and bamboo chicken cooked on charred charcoal by local tribal folks adds spice to the enjoyment.

Galikonda View point in Araku gives you a mesmerizing view of the Araku valley and the velvety green Eastern ghats. Some railings of the view point are missing. You have to be careful, especially with kids.

"Galikonda Viewpoint: A Nature's Masterpiece Near Araku" 🌳🌞 "Much like the enchanting viewpoints in Coonoor, Chikmagalur, and Nandi Hills, Galikonda offers yet another feast for the eyes of nature enthusiasts. Our visit coincided with the heat of the day, but the beauty of this place transcends the weather. It's a must-see for anyone seeking awe-inspiring natural vistas near Araku." πŸŒ„πŸƒπŸŒ€οΈ

A good viewpoint on a mountainside plantation road near ananthgiri to enjoy nature.... But lots of road and foot traffic with stalls serving local coffee bamboo chicken and fried chicken. Better to go on week days less tourists.

What an amazing beauty the place has! Mesmerizing and glazing at a same time. When there is fog, the view is something different. But is cloudfree sky, the mountainous ranges are giving us some varied beautiful scenes. Unfortunately I missed this because of foggy weather.

Very good view point on the top of hill. You can enjoy natural beauty of Ananthgiri mountain range from here. Wait few minutes to enjoy the view of train passing the mountain below. On rainy & winter season flouting cloud improve your experience marginally.
