Very nice zoo in Vizag. Would recommend for children as well as adults. The tigers were what attracted most peoplen especially the white tiger. You will get to see and even interact with some animals. I would recommend you not to take the transport facility available there as the driver will force you to go throughout the zoo fast and you wont be able to enjoy the views at your own pace. The zoo in general is a great place and i highly recommended that you visit it of you are in vizag.

I had an amazing experience at Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Vizag! The park is incredibly well-planned, and it's a wonderful place to explore. The variety of animals and the thoughtful layout make it a must-visit. Highly recommend! It has Giraffe, lion ,tiger, white tiger, rino, hippo, lepord ,elephant and lots of other animals and birds. Important - 1.There is option for booking battery vehicle inside the park the for individual booking it the ticket price is Rs 70 and forr booking the vehicle it costs 700 for 10 to 12 people. 2. Also ther is a facility that u can use your own vehicle (car) with entry fee of Rs 750/- for 1 hour. 3. Also there are cycles available on rent for exploring the zoo.

This is the main entrance gate of the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park. Its located on a huge area and very well maintained. The entrance is neat and clean and quite spacious. It is located just on the main road. A must visit place for people of all ages, from children to adults. Everyone will enjoy their visit here 😊

A very decent zoo. You can take a by cycle on rent and take a nice ride across. Its spread in a good area and animals are not kept in cages, they have been given enough space compared to other zoos.

Good place to visit in VIZAG. Children love to see the animals LIVE but still more animals need to be added.

My childhood zoo park as I'm kid my father and my family members were enjoyed alot now the zoo is completely changed with new animals on old days this zoo is like a jungle now fu development it's very good place so many tourists coming from other states to see this zoo it's really awesome and there is a battery vehicle available seating capacity also good tickets price may vary enjoy in summer and winter season expect all seasons can go. Hence in summer animals can't come out because hot only morning zoo keepers feeding the food they all are feel free and active, we can see the near by clear enjoy a lot thanks 😊😊

The animals are not active at all. My children didn't enjoy it at all. The surroundings are clean & tidy. Maintenance is good.

Good place to visit mostly animals are available, also go there with your personal vehicles and rent a bicycle,price for simple entry was 50rupee for car 500 no students confession ticket.

Indira Gandhi zoological park is very exciting place to watch for animal lovers. There we can see white tiger, peacocks, crocodiles, hippos, wild lizards and many more. Worth going to this place. But i missed to watch elephant there.

Well organised and has all animals one would expect to see. Enter the zoo, take the road on your left and come out through the driveway on right side. Fencing at some places appears to be low. Especially fencing for lion, Bengal tiger and bear should be of human height.

It's very massive area. If you have four wheeler it's good but the four wheeler entrance fee is a bit high. I strongly recommend not to go by walk because I went by walk and suffered a lot. Never mind if you don't have four wheeler the zoo operates battery driven vehicles. It costs only Rs.200 per person or if you book the entire vehicle it cost you Rs.800 only. You have all sorts of animals here.

Great zoo with a decent collection of animals. Being located in the forest itself, I feel the Animals in this zoo are more closer to their natural habitat even when kept in the enclosures. If you want to cover the entire zoo on foot then the total walk is around 5 km. Will take around 3 hours. So it's not impossible and can be done if you are prepared. In fact I did the tour by walk only. If you want to do it faster then you have 2 options at the entry gate (front gate/beach gate) itself: Option 1: There are electric (golf cart) cars which will show you around the zoo in an hour. The car will stop at regular intervals and give you some time to get down, look at the animals around that spot and get in the same car again. But there may be considerable wait time to book one as you have to wait for the cars that already went for the trip to come back. Option 2: There are E-bikes (electric bicycle) for rent. But only one person can ride and there are no smaller sized e-bikes for the kids. So if you have a kid with you then this option is out of the way.

It was so exciting to watch them live. But few animals are alone &lonely. I hope government take necessary changes , precautions and maintain proper care to them. And keep every animal in pair.Not only humans animals also can't live alone.

Nice zoo, nicely maintaining, everywhere sign boards are there for easy route findings. Nearly 5 km we have to walk so be prepare before going to zoo.

Only zoo in India surrounding with lush green hills and blue sea. It's one of the best zoo's in india home to more than 700 species

Nice place to visit some quality time with family/friends.. Paid Parking available out side of gate... Approx 5/6 km to walk around to see, no use of taking car inside zoo. Public Toilets are available at various locations. Outside food allowed however a small wet canteen available inside Zoo.

Parking charges are there but there us no shade. Parking area is also not maintained. Ease make good parking area when you are charging. Kept my vehicle under the sky😃

I am not a person who likes to watch caged animals and birds I visited for my family sake White tiger lion cheeta hippo etc good fish museum dissapointed need minimum 2 hrs to cover by walk if have more money you can go in your car or cab

Had lots of fun exploring the place and looking at beautiful animals made my day ❤️. Good thing is we don't have to buy water bottles because there will be water fountains for drinking water and we can find shade throughout the entire zoo so that we can stop by and sit in huts & have lunch or snacks that we bought with us. There's also a canteen if we don't carry any food with us and the food is good. We can rent a bicycle which cost us 50 rupees for an hour ride and mini electric vehicle if we go with family for an hour ride they are charging 400 for 6 people. My overall experience at zoo was great can't wait to visit again 😍.

By the way, the ticket charge is 50, children below 12 years are only 10 rupees, if you want to take your personal vehicle, then you will have to pay ₹ 500 and if! If you take a car with battery from inside, then you will have to pay ₹ 400 charge, which will travel for 1 hour, but you will not enjoy that much, the biggest fun comes when you walk, you can see everything by walking everywhere.

Very good place to visit during weekends with family specially if you have children. The zoo has high variety of animals including giraffe, white peacock, lions, royal bengal tiger, crocodiles etc. Varieties of bird species are there to be seen. A nocturnal animal house is there where porcupines are to be seen with bats and other animals. Though it needs separate ticket but the price is very nominal. Various serpents and chameleons species are also there to be seen.

Awesome place to spend time with family or kinda picnic.. please carry your food never have it from the inside restaurant... Worst food experience.
