The ambience is very good especially the Lobby. The buffet is famous here at Grandbay hotel.

Had fish thali for dinner priced at 1200 rupees. All items were unique and tasty. Good hospitality by the chief. Though I was expecting authentic Andhra delicacies, it was mix of various south Indian dishes. The starter items were pretty good along with various chatnies. Only complain I have is that the portion size of fish items were too less. Still, you get to try different items with is mote than enough for a single person. Recommended if you like to try south Indian dishes.

Attended a private function with a few guests.The dinner served was good. The space was sufficient for a small group of people.

Worst thali we ever had in vizag went there for Sankranthi spl thali. If you are vegetarian please skip there are no items that were up to the mark. They did not even give curd for the thali paid 10k for 6 Thalis. Only items that were good were rasam and parota. Felt like we were robbed hope management agrees with my review.

A perfect place to go for dine in, with the new renovations atmosphere is amazing and value for money place to be. Whenever there a must visit and recommended place. Overall staff behaviour and service is 5 star.

We had to wait for almost 1 hour for lunch for a predefined menu (Veg and Non-Veg Thali). Thali is the easiest and faster to serve, however they took 1 hour. Its star hotel and service is not upto a star hotel standards.

Awesome place for south cuisine especially Appam, bonda and other tamil /keralite dishes.

It is eat as much as you can. But after a point, you just tell the staff- I cannot have any more servings :-)

Do not eat here. I have no idea why this place is so highly rated. The wait stay was sick and ended up getting my whole family sick. The food was not worth the price as well.

Excellent food, ambience and service. We came back in two days in a row purely for the great experience we've had. Sindhu and Durga showed great hospitality and utmost care while serving food to us along with ensuring that we ordered specialities from the restaurant. They made sure that the food matched our expectations. Highly recommended!!

The place is completely renovated and im in love with their food and service. The best authentic south indian food in visakhapatnam. The restaurant has at home feel with their traditional ambience. Special mention for the service, it was outstanding and felt very comforting with the way they represented themselves and spoke to us. Overall had a great evening.

Starters include punukulu in telugu spicy style with four varieties of chutnies. Main course included 3 vegetable curries plus sambar and curd rice.The food was served in silver cutlery.

Beautiful food, a team that truly understands hospitality and the ambiance of an old, royal dining hall.. This is an old review. Very old. But I am sure it holds true even today. We had to take some help to locate the place but once we were there, it was a very calming experience. I had basically searched for the place to get my husband to eat some authentic crab curry. But, it was so much more than just a crab curry. People with different food preferences can find options- meat, fish, gluten, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian. The server and the Chef were very particular about what we preferred. I won't lie, I kept looking at the cutlery, that thali and serving bowls- I felt like I was in older times, good older times :)

Had an excellent experience at Dakshin. Not only was the food and variety of food excellent, but the service was equally good. Really enjoyed the lunch coupled with live music.

They used to be good place for a thali, But their standards have fallen down badly, Their service is good but very very very slow, Food wasn’t upto Mark Disappointed

Waste of Money. Taste was pathetic. Nothing is there in that non-veg meal for the worth of 1300. Service was aimless and too slow. They did not even serve any desert in this meal.

Dakshin is a restaurant with great ambience and taste. It is concoction of all south Indian cuisine. The live music with mridangam added more flavour to the ambience. Taste is good. Down side is service delay.

Authentic South Indian food. Great architecture and interiors, gives an amazing experience. Neat, professional and fast service Food is quite costly though, that cuts one star from the rating.
