Met a very nice cashier Mike, cute and built good. He offered to groom my dog for free because he thought that she needed to be shaved down there, so obviously I obliged! He put my dog in the downward dog position and groomed her very well! Great guy but seems like he blazes a little too much.

I was just getting something to eat! For my dogs, Blaze and Downward, of course. Drove by this place and said to myself: "This looks cute though, built good." I snuck on in and my cashier was Mike. He complimented my dogs, Downward specifically. I asked him if there was anywhere to get a slice where the small is as big as the large, couldn't help me out in that regard but gave me a great conversation nonetheless, really into academics so. . . kewl? Overall you could say it was the cleanest, best pleasure.

I came here because I was slightly concerned about my dog (named Downward). Employee Mike asked “mind if I just have a look around?” and he helped me pick out some food along with treats but scanned the items and 32+13= trouble, so Mike quickly tutored me on cheaper alternatives. Came back again and he remembered me, asking how my Downward dog was. Surprised, I asked if he had blazed and he said “I can’t, I won’t”. Today’s lesson was that pet stores like this don’t come around often. Mike really worries about other people.

Great place, Mike the cashier was very friendly, he even complimented me on shorts and asked if I shave my blank, he also said that my dog was built good. He must’ve thought I was a yoga instructor as he asked about my downward dog. He offered to blaze after my appointment and share a slice of pizza since he didn’t know the small was as big as the large one.

Took my grandson here for a fish tank for his birthday. I was uneasy about it, because I did not have a clue what to buy as far as accessories, or what kind of fish, and was expecting to have to beg someone for help. The young lady who took care of us was perfect. Knowledge, patient, and friendly, and took the time to be certain all our questions were answered and we had what we needed. Surprisingly large selection and reasonable prices.

Very, very helpful associates. Although it is a pretty small Petco and they don’t carry as much as the larger stores. Thankfully they have the cat food my kitty loves. They also have a good selection of toys as presented by my kitty in the picture.

I will not be spending a dime at this location and you should not either! Nearly all the Petco and Petsmart stores you go to now will NOT carry rats because the conditions given to them at these stores is not suitable to meet their basic needs- causing them to become depressed, diseased, sick, and eventually they succumb to illness, all due to the conditions they are kept in. OR they are sold to others without verifying that they will be able to properly care for them, often times people do not realize how intelligent and social rats are and the needs (plus large expenses) required for their proper care. If you do not believe me, take 5 seconds to look through the first few google search results, and you will be more educated on the subject than whoever is allowing these rats to be sold at this location. As a corporation who champions pet care and health, there is no excuse. Whoever runs Larchmont Petco would rather make a quick buck while abusing animals rather than forgo selling them altogether. It is SAD and shows a complete lack of education, care, and empathy. Spend your money elsewhere. It is NOT OKAY to be in a position to care for the life of an animal and LACK ANY UNDERSTANDING of how to do that. Rats are highly intelligent and sociable critters who need socialization, free space (with plenty of hides, toys, blankets, something to chew on), and stimulation, AT THE LEAST! All of which are NOT being met at this location. Whoever is in charge of fish tanks at this location actually does a good job. Maybe we caught them on a good re stocking day, but the tanks were clean and actually good looking (a rarity now). So one star for that, otherwise 0 stars.

Although it was a busy Sunday, we were treated to top notch service from Nate who was very knowledgeable and fun to work with. He hooked us up with all the material things we needed for our first fish in the family. In addition to the material, we were provided keen insight and tips to get our aquarium going. Could not be happier with our experience there, and will visit again once we get everything up and running!

Ive only been to this particular location twice and the staff here have left a lasting impression for me. The Petco employees are very helpful and knowledgeable on their products, and the store had everything i needed in stock. The lasting impression happened when I was at the check out. Anya the cashier has the brightest personality, not to mention she was the ONLY cashier to ever encourage me to use my phone number for member discounts. At no other location has this happened before. I actually saved about $20 on my order, which i was super grateful for. Thanks again!

This is a good Petco. Convenient location, friendly staff. Sometimes a little bit busy but that's understandable for the area. They have the food that we need for our senior cat, so we'll keep coming back!

First time here. I came in. I came for a collar and costume for my cat. The shelves were mostly empty. To be fair, there was a delivery truck out front. There were not many items for cats in the store. Dog collars and leashes. I did not make a purchase as they did not have what I came for. If you own a cat, I recommend another Petco or order online.

Grooming is a little pricey, but I guess that’s the trend everywhere nowadays. Our dog came out so happy, cute, and clean. Our girls loved that they can watch them groom through the glass partition in the store. I would recommend and will be going back for our dog’s grooming needs.

Waited 25 minutes to buy 6 cans of food with a huge line behind me while 1 cashier checked out a man buying an entire aquarium set-up, including fish in a bag that was leaking & had to be switched out, and signing him up for a vital care membership, which took her no less than 10 minutes. No regard for the people on line, no calling for help to other associates or management, or maybe having him step to side to fill out membership after she checks out the people waiting a long time. She said nothing to us, just kept asking him questions & slowly typing into computer. always an issue here. People behind me put items down & left. Port Chester srore closed due to similar customer service reasons. Hope you improve.

Great friendly staff that know the products and are happy to help you find what you need. As a new pet dad, they really put me at ease in finding what’s best for my pup. The vet agreed with their recommendations too!

My 4 month old puppy was jolly and happy he’s always happy until I took him to get groomed by Gianna K at the Larchmont Petco after pick up my puppy cried the entire way home and just wanted me to hold him, I tried giving him his favorite treat and he wouldn’t eat it he just wanted to be held, my puppy has never behaved this way before ever . He did not play at all yesterday evening after pick up he just slept and slept this morning there was vomit in his crate and he’s refusing to eat anything or even drink water. I don’t know what they did to my puppy and I’m very heartbroken and scared because I thought I took him to a safe place now he’s acting traumatized. I’m taking him to a veterinarian now to see what’s going on with my baby.

Took my puppy there yesterday for his first grooming session. The staff was very nice and professional. I explained how I wanted his hair cut and she showed me an example of different lengths. I chose the one that would still leave him with a little bit of fur. I specifically stated I did not want him to looked scalped. I go to pick up Louie and they did exactly what I didn't want. My daughter was with me and she was upset to the point of tears. He looks like a neglected puppy who hasn't been fed. Our first grooming experience and it was horrible!! I didn't get upset. I just paid and left. Petco will never see me again!

The girl who helped us was lovely. We bought pet mice. She was friendly, helpful and made it all very easy.

Staff is great at this location; very helpful and knowledgeable young women. We bought a leopard gecko and were provided with all the necessary items required for its care. Tank, lamps, substrate, feed, and a thermometer, which also measures relative humidity.

Good store to get your pet supplies and vetco vacations, but do not schedule training classes here for your pup. We had a terrible experience with our trainer. She was always changing our appointments last minute. Our pup was not comfortable with her.

Always looking for Zupreem dry medium pellet food, they had a great product from Zupreem. My birds were both enjoying the new pellets,

Excellent customer service, we had to return some items and I did not have my receipt. Their associate was able to find my transaction via my membership and easily found my purchase and was able return my money.

Manager at this location ( Larchmont) falsely accused me of theft, I am in contact with customer service/mgmt and will be emailing the CEO about her calling the police on me ( false accusation I have my receipt). She accused me of stealing the courtesy doggie waste bags that are available for paying customers, when I asked to speak to the mgr, she claimed she was the mgr and called the police. She was rude, aggressive , lied to police, she slandered my name. I believe this was racially motivated. Thankfully police were polite and professional and saw that she was wrong.

Items can be a bit pricey but the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I like this Petco because it is a standalone store with ample parking.

I would say a smaller than usual Petco, still has animals for sale. Had the wild bird seed and suet I needed. Staff were very helpful and nice despite busy closing time rush. Had everything a larger PETCO would have it seemed. There is a parking lot. I took one star off only because the highly intelligent rats were left without toys of any kind and were visibly anxious and depressed, some needed cleaned and one needed medical attention. I brought this to the attention of a very nice staff member and she assured me she would address it. Rats are very intelligent. The animals deserve maximum upkeep in PETCO as it decides to still sell them. Recommend overall.

Thank you for your Excellent trainer and training program at your Larchmont Store.Your trainer Leah is Wonderful She is patient knowledgeable incredibly professional totally positive and so helpful. I had no idea you offered dog training at this location you need to advertise-I stopped by because I was having issues with my puppy having leash frenzies I was so happy to hear you offered training and absolutely delighted with the trainer Leah She has been amazing and my pup has made amazing improvements and so have I would recommend Leah and your classes to everyone besides being fabulous the classes are reasonably priced there’s plenty of space and it’s amazing what a difference a class can make! So thank you for offering this service but I think you need to advertise your local programs so dog owners know they can find you! And thank you for hiring such an amazing trainer like Leah she really is the Best-
