I go there quite often and I have been to Russian and Slavic restaurants in London. I have also eaten homemade Slavic food and I must admit their food is highly underrated. I love the fact that there is live Russian music there. Oh and we went there on Women's day and we got a complimentary dessert and rose. Their service is excellent. Their service would make you want to make this your local! Some honourable mentions: Bogdan - He is your friendly Russian restaurateur. Olga - Her service is impeccable. She is always friendly and understanding.

A cozy place, with nice ambiance, great for that incospicuous chat...service was great with very clear instructions. Borshtch was new to me, enjoyed it like onion soup...herring and dumplings were tasty as well the desserts..quality with a price, music was complementing but not complementary, a nice journey to the motherland

Lovely place, tasty food. We were not expecting live music but it was a nice addition. Service great as well - we did not have a reservation, but they still found us a table as soon as one freed up!

Great iconic restaurant in the heart of Knightsbridge that has changed little in decades. The venue is spotlessly clean and retains its old world charm. 10/10

My visit to Borshtch n Tears was an extraordinary experience, blending exquisite Eastern European cuisine with the captivating charm of live music. The ambiance, with its cozy yet vibrant setting, set the stage for a night to remember. The menu dazzles with traditional flavors, each dish masterfully prepared. The borscht, a perfect harmony of sweet, sour, and savory, and the Beef Stroganoff, with tender meat in a lush sauce, stood out exceptionally. Ending the meal with their heavenly Honey Cake is a must. But what truly sets Borshtch n Tears apart is the live music. The melodies, ranging from traditional tunes to contemporary pieces, create an atmosphere that’s both lively and intimate, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience. The service here is as remarkable as the food and music. The staff is not only attentive and efficient but also exudes a genuine warmth, making every guest feel special. In conclusion, Borshtch n Tears offers more than just a meal; it provides an immersive experience where culinary artistry and musical magic come together. Perfect for a special night out. Highly recommended for a memorable evening of food, music, and joy.

Cozy atmosphere, warm and helpful service, and absolutely delicious homemade dishes. As a Russian, I would definitely recommend and I will come back! The prices are very reasonable, given the quality and the location - two of us had 3 dishes each, a beer and two baskets of bread for around £80. Also, Saturday night's live music was very pleasant and not too loud, conversations could still flow easily!

Really nice staff. Authentic Russian food from Russia. Very good service. All of the staff speak Russian. I would highly recommend ordering the deer meat dumplings. The prices are not too high too.

As a Filipino I had never tried Russian cuisine before visiting the Borshtch’n’Tears, and had a great time. The food was delicious and portion size was generous - atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. Tasty Russian dishes with high quality drinks available, I specifically recommend the honey infused vodka, piroshkis and honey cake! Amazing experience, will definitely be returning!

Chicken Kiev is nice, and I like the Bortsch. Some items are unavailable due to ingredients shortage, otherwise a good experience.

Had a lovely family dinner here. Very authentic food' great presentation. Really nailed the plov. Had both the lamb and mushroom manti as well, my palate is satisfied. The only pity is that we couldn't try more things on the menu because I am sure they will be delicious as well. Service staff were very courteous and patient. This is coming from a politically neutral stance. No prejudice.

It is great small Russian restaurant , food was great, an artist was singing as well. As a Russian, I would recommend the food as a quality example of our dishes, a bit salty for me, but not too salty. The place is also decorated as romantic , so a plus for a date.

The food came out cold and the waiters were very rude and disrespectful.

The place is wildly overpriced and is nothing special. The interior is in desperate need for a facelift (if not a complete demolition)

This place has remained practically unchanged since the 1960s and has been a family business for 58 years. It's probably the oldest business in Beauchamp Place. Definitely worth a visit for the experience. Traditional Russian music, cosy atmosphere, elevated Russian cuisine, friendly and attentive staff, delicious honey vodka!

London's Borscht and Tears is a culinary gem that effortlessly blends Russian flavors with a warm ambiance. Entrusting the owner to select our menu led to a delightful experience. The honey-infused vodka and the exquisite fish cake were standout highlights, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. Borscht and Tears is a must-visit for those seeking a brief yet flavorful escape into Russian cuisine in the heart of London.
