Isalo Rock Lodge was incredibly picturesque and comfortable. My only criticisms are that they don't serve Malagasy food, and the stay is quite expensive. Luckily, we found a local guy to host us for a few meals at his home! I also question why they do not utilize solar power more on their property.

Very impressed by the beauty and luxury of Isalo Rock Lodge. The service was second to none, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Take the time to hike down to the natural swimming pool. It’s worth the 20 minute hike.

Excellent hotel situated near Isalo national park. Room was clean and had everything you need. Restaurant menu was good and catered for vegetarians - and their chilli sauce was super tasty but extremely hot so take care. The staff were really welcoming and invited me to a small party where we saw the real Patch Adams who was putting on a show for mother's day. All in all, a hotel to remember!

Isalo Rock lodge was the most luxurious lodge on our travel trough Madagascar, so we had some high expectations, which where mostly fulfilled. The lodge is located on the N7 and close to the entrance of the Isalo national park. The lode offers a beautiful view of.. you guessed it.. rocks. The rooms are luxurious with everything you may need, airco, shower and bath, good bed, mini-bar and a private terrace. But no WIFI in the lodge itself (only in the bar/restaurant area) we aren’t sure thats always the case, maybe because we visited post-covid. The swimming pool offers a good view. However it needs a little bit of love, since after 2,5 years of covid the paints starts to strip off, besides that the pool clean and nice place to swim. The staff is very polite and friendly, the restaurant and bar area, offers a stunning view and has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast was very good, probably the best on our trip, the lunch and dinner where allright, nothing to special in our taste. Nice additions to the Rock lodge is a special terrace on which you can see the sun go down and the natural plicine. This little natural plicine is worth the 15 a 20 min walk to the little valley, maybe not so much for the swimming, but vegetation, the little creeks on the backdrop of the rocky hill side is really stunning.

We had a great, spacious room. Upkeep was perfect at this hotel, it looked brand new. Our bed was comfortable. We had a Jacuzzi room, it was perfect and we could see the TV while sitting in the hot tub. We liked that! It was a quiet hotel and we slept great! The continental breakfast was also very good. We found the front desk to be friendly and helpful as well.

The place is really top top top! The only thing is: the internet in the room doesn’t work. And no mobile network too. The rooms are shockingly good! If you want to go to the park, ask for the guide named Xavier: this guy is just amazing and you will have lots of fun during the excursion!

Beautiful view from everywhere, especially the restaurants and the rooms. Don't get the rooms in the back, because people can see through the windows when you have the blinds open. Also, electricity is turned off during the night, so the rooms can get a little hot, and you can't charge a phone. The restaurant is great, and overall I'd stay again.

I loved this hotel, the best for me in Madagascar, ..simply A Beautiful location, STUNNING....the views, the plants the everything. The nicest staff and a FABULOUS General Manager, Severa, What a true hospitality professional. The sheets and the bedding were true Italian style and WONDERFUL...the food was excellent, home made PASTA, the best I have had anywhere in the world, I loved this place

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Then the location is unbeatable, just a few minutes from the park entrance and surrounded by rock formations that make you feel you are in the park already. There is a little hill you can climb to watch the sunset and if you’d like, the stuff will bring drinks and snacks for you. Each room Overlooks an area near the sunrise and has large glass window panes to enjoy the view from. Good food and a beautiful bar complement. The only recommendation I can make is stronger Wi-Fi access throughout the property as service can be spotty.

At First: Dont Pay infront. They asked me to pay on a personal account and after they said, that i paid 20% (50 Dollar) to less - what could not be because i always pay like that international. So in fact they wanted to trick me. So be aware. At Second: I asked five times for a transfer and finally they were able to organize something. Every other Hotel in Madagascar was fast at the first turn. At Third: They will not refund you in anyway. Any other Hotel in Madagascar had no problem and was helpfull when my Trip got messed up and i had to cancel. But they will not help at all. So all in all really bad customer service. After contact with the Manager, he did not respond on any of this topics. Just blaimed me.

Excellent location to stay. The accommodation was luxurious , and the massage was great.I would say the best in Madagascar, but the food needs some updates, not so good as The Citizen (French) and the Flyinn hotel near the airport (excellent Italian chef) in Antananarivo.

The place itself is really beautiful and we can really recommend it for staying there, the view and the walk around and to the sunset point are highly recommended. Unfortunately the food, the breakfast as well as the diner was not what we expected. The breakfast was expensive, fruit was not even fresh which is just sad for Madagaskar. I also had a really good massage, the lady did a perfect job but in the massage room the AC was broken and it was so hot that I almost couldn't bare it, I guessed around 50°, hard to enjoy.
