I had a fantastic time at the Festetics Palace in Hungary. This beautiful palace is situated near Lake Balaton, making it a great destination for travelers. The palace has plenty to offer for younger visitors, with lots of interesting things to see and do. There are also many restaurants and a well-designed center nearby that are definitely worth checking out. Overall, the Festetics Palace is a fantastic place to visit in Hungary.

Great place to visit. Palace plus five exhibitions. You can visit them separately. Compact and fast to walk. If You have 2-3h you can see all.

The palace is beautiful truly in the inside and there is a big garden where you can roam around as a student your entry ticket + the 5 exhibitions ticket will be super cheap and it is worth the visit truly ! If you visit everything it will take you approximately 3 to 4 hours all is very interesting and modern I highly recommend if you are here to do this it's a must

An interesting palace with breath taking decorations, fairnachers, pictures and rich history. The palace radiates an impressive but quiet power. There is a very beautiful view from the main tower. After visiting the palace you can enjoy yourself from the nice park around it.

A beautiful and well maintained castle. We hired a tour guide and had more than one hour tour in which a lot of interesting information was shared with us about the cake y and the family. I will bring my girls here next time as they love castles and go without the tour, in sure it will be good enough for them. I do but recommend going up the tour, it is but really worth the extra charge nor the bird garden, didn't see anything too interesting there.

Simply wow! I really can't understand why this palace is not all that know abroad as other palaces, because it's really a little gem that should be visited MORE for sure! I didn't visit it internally because I didn't have time, but externally it's just wonderful, especially thanks to its gardens! The palace and gardens are both very well kept and well cared for

The palace is beautiful and the exhibited items are exquisite. However the exhibition itself should be more interactive, as reading the information is a bit outdated and for kids it is boring.

Beautiful place to see. Think mini Versailles. Paid about 7 Euros per person.

I dont know if it is possible but would recommend to buy tickets online. We waited for 20min to get them on friday morning. They have types of tickets. Make sure to read the board in front of the ticket office, you have to tell them which of the exhibitions you want to see (apart from the palace). We chose the palm house and it was amazing. It also included the bird park which was a really good surprise, they have many interesting birds. The tower was closed. The palace is beautiful, very extravagant. The park is also very pretty.

Really decently priced to see everything here, if you wish to see everything I would give it a full day, but just the palace and one exhibit still took about 2 to 3 hours, pretty gardens to sit in which are free of charge as well. DSLR Photography or videography inside the palace requires, 1400 HUF extra, really recommend

A very beautiful castle surrounded by well maintained gardens. The tour is definitely worth it, since the inside is filled with interesting items and pieces of furniture with the library as a highlight. Also the view from the viewtower is nice. The signs are in English as well.

The castle is in excellent condition. It's worth seeing. The only bad thing is that you cannot tour the castle on your own, and the guided tour is only in Hungarian. We didn't like that. We had to follow the pace of the group and the guide in a language we don't know. The library is impressive. The park around the palace is beautiful. Most museums close at 4 p.m., so we didn't have time to visit them all. Another big minus in Hungary is that almost no one speaks English. We did not manage to find out where to buy souvenirs.

The palace’s both exterior and interior are beautiful. The visit to the palace is on full hour, and happens on each hour. The only downside is that the guide tour was on Hungarian so we didn’t understand a word, but there were English and German explanations near exhibitions so you can read about them. Considering we visited the palace in February, it was not crowded and we didn’t need to buy tickets in advance. There was a lot of people there, so I wouldn’t know if the same applies to sunny days.

Baroque and neo-baroque styled palace from the XVIII-XIXth century. Carriage museum, model railroad tables and hunting exhibition are also available.

Amazing palace, a must visit. Pets can visit the gardens but they can't enter to the palace.

What a masterpiece! Loved how they've managed to keep the atmosphere throughout the centuries. Very kind staff with wide knowledge of the historical and interior elements of the palace. Also, never forget to stop and smell the roses 😊

Fantastic place and very well kept. If you visit the castle and their other exhibits, it could be a whole day program. Restaurants right by the entrances to be avoided.

Baroque palace built by Festetics family who had a great contribution in development of nearby habitated area since they were opening schools, hospitals and an agricultural college. The family originates from Croatia and were prominent during Austro-Hungarian Empire times. Today the palace serves as a museum and has the biggest aristocratic library in Hungary. It's surrounded by a beautiful garden maintained in English style.

Palace inside is quite beautiful, but you only see part of it. If you can, get tickets online because they had only one ticket window open and the wait was terrible. I bought additional palm and bird exhibit and was greatly disappointed, mostly ducks and chickens, couple peacocks in small enclosures, plants and animals looked like they were not taken care of. Children might enjoy it, but otherwise it's a waste of money. The 3 stars are mostly because of the palace, otherwise it would have been one.

I did not expect to see such a majestic building with a huge park in this small town. The building is a little dilapidated but still looks very powerful

You can reach there out via Bajna buses from Kelenföld bus station. ( Number must be 774) it takes around an hour from Budapest and place is located front of bus stop there.

Really nice palace. Hungarian, German, and English guides. It is like a mini-version of Schönbrunn in Austria. Recommend for kids aswell as adults.
